1. तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,

1. God is powerful; all must stand in awe of him; he keeps his heavenly kingdom in peace.

2. प्रभुता करना और डराना यह उसी का काम है; वह अपने ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों में शान्ति रखता है।

3. क्या उसकी सेनाओं की गिनती हो सकती? और कौन है जिस पर उसका प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता?

3. Can anyone count the angels who serve him? Is there any place where God's light does not shine?

4. फिर मनुष्य ईश्वर की दृष्टि में धम क्योंकर ठहर सकता है? और जो स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुआ है वह क्योंकर निर्मल हो सकता है?

4. Can anyone be righteous or pure in God's sight?

5. देख, उसकी दृष्टि में चन्द्रमा भी अन्धेरा ठहरता, और तारे भी निर्मल नहीं ठहरते।

5. In his eyes even the moon is not bright, or the stars pure.

6. फिर मनुष्य की क्या गिनती जो कीड़ा है, और आदमी कहां रहा जो केंचुआ है !

6. Then what about a human being, that worm, that insect? What is a human life worth in God's eyes?
