1. तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,

1. THEN BILDAD the Shuhite answered,

2. प्रभुता करना और डराना यह उसी का काम है; वह अपने ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों में शान्ति रखता है।

2. Dominion and fear are with [God]; He makes peace in His high places.

3. क्या उसकी सेनाओं की गिनती हो सकती? और कौन है जिस पर उसका प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता?

3. Is there any number to His armies? And upon whom does not His light arise?

4. फिर मनुष्य ईश्वर की दृष्टि में धम क्योंकर ठहर सकता है? और जो स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुआ है वह क्योंकर निर्मल हो सकता है?

4. How then can man be justified and righteous before God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be pure and clean? [Ps. 130:3; 143:2.]

5. देख, उसकी दृष्टि में चन्द्रमा भी अन्धेरा ठहरता, और तारे भी निर्मल नहीं ठहरते।

5. Behold, even the moon has no brightness [compared to God's glory] and the stars are not pure in His sight--

6. फिर मनुष्य की क्या गिनती जो कीड़ा है, और आदमी कहां रहा जो केंचुआ है !

6. How much less man, who is a maggot! And a son of man, who is a worm!
