1. तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,

2. प्रभुता करना और डराना यह उसी का काम है; वह अपने ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों में शान्ति रखता है।

2. 'God is King. He should be feared. He establishes peace in the highest parts of heaven.

3. क्या उसकी सेनाओं की गिनती हो सकती? और कौन है जिस पर उसका प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता?

3. Can anyone count his troops? Is there anyone his light doesn't shine on?

4. फिर मनुष्य ईश्वर की दृष्टि में धम क्योंकर ठहर सकता है? और जो स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुआ है वह क्योंकर निर्मल हो सकता है?

4. How can human beings be right with God? How can mere people really be pure?

5. देख, उसकी दृष्टि में चन्द्रमा भी अन्धेरा ठहरता, और तारे भी निर्मल नहीं ठहरते।

5. Even the moon isn't bright and the stars aren't pure in God's eyes.

6. फिर मनुष्य की क्या गिनती जो कीड़ा है, और आदमी कहां रहा जो केंचुआ है !

6. So how about human beings? They are like maggots. How about mere people? They are like worms.'
