1. इस्त्राएलियों के मि देश से निकल जाने के दूसरे वर्ष के दूसरे महीने के पहिले दिन को, यहोवा ने सीनै के जंगल में मिलापवाले तम्बू में, मूसा से कहा,

1. And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2. इस्त्राएलियों की सारी मण्डली के कुलों और पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार, एक एक पुरूष की गिनती नाम ले लेकर करना;

2. Take ye the number of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by head count

3. जितने इस्त्राएली बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के हों, और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य हों, उन सभों को उनके दलों के अनुसार तू और हारून गिन ले।

3. from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go forth to war in Israel. Thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

4. और तुम्हारे साथ एक एक गोत्रा का एक एक पुरूष भी हो जो अपने पितरों के घराने का मुख्य पुरूष हो।

4. And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, every one head of the house of his fathers.

5. तुम्हारे उन साथियों के नाम ये हैं, अर्थात् रूबेन के गोत्रा में से शदेऊर का पुत्रा एलीसूर;

5. And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

6. शिमोन के गोत्रा में से सूरीश ै का पुत्रा शलूमीएल;

6. of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

7. यहूदा के गोत्रा में से अम्मीनादाब का पुत्रा नहशोन;

7. of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

8. इस्साकार के गोत्रा में से सूआ का पुत्रा नतनेल;

8. of Issachar, Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

9. जबूलून के गोत्रा में से हेलोन का पुत्रा एलीआब;

9. of Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;

10. यूसुफवंशियों में से ये हैं, अर्थात् एर्पैम के गोत्रा में से अम्मीहूद का पुत्रा एलीशामा, ओर मनश्शे के गोत्रा में से पदासूर का पुत्रा गम्लीएल;

10. of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud, and of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

11. बिन्यामीन के गोत्रा में से गिदोनी का पुत्रा अबीदान;

11. of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;

12. दान के गोत्रा में से अम्मीश ै का पुत्रा अहीऐजेर;

12. of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

13. आशेर के गोत्रा में से ओक्रान का पुत्रा पगीएल;

13. of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;

14. गाद के गोत्रा में से दूएल का पुत्रा एल्यासाप;

14. of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;

15. नप्ताली के गोत्रा में से एनाम का पुत्रा अहीरा।

15. of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.'

16. मण्डली में से जो पुरूष अपने अपने पितरों के गोत्रों के प्रधान होकर बुलाए गए वे ये ही हैं, और ये इस्त्राएलियों के हजारों में मुख्य पुरूष थे।

16. These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.

17. और जिन पुरूषों के नाम ऊपर लिखे हैं उनको साथ लेकर,

17. And Moses and Aaron took these men who are expressly named.

18. मूसा और हारून ने दूसरे महीने के पहिले दिन सारी मण्डली इकट्ठी की, तब इस्त्राएलियों ने अपने अपने कुल और अपने अपने पितरों के घराने के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्थावालों के नामों की गिनती करवा के अपनी अपनी वंशावली लिखवाई;

18. And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their pedigrees according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward by head count.

19. जिस प्रकार यहोवा ने मूसा को जो आज्ञा दी थी उसी के अनुसार उस ने सीनै के जंगल में उनकी गणना की।।

19. As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai.

20. और इस्त्राएल के पहिलौठे रूबेन के वंश ने जितने पुरूष अपने कुल और अपने पितरों के घराने के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

20. And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by head count every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

21. और रूबेन के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष साढ़े छियालीस हजार थे।।

21. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

22. और शिमोन के वंश के लोग जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे, और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

22. Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, those who were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by head count every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

23. और शिमोन के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष उनसठ हजार तीन सौ थे।।

23. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

24. और गाद के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

24. Of the children of Gad, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

25. और गाद के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष पैंतालीस हजार साढ़े छ: सौ थे।।

25. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.

26. और यहूदा के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

26. Of the children of Judah, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

27. और यहूदा के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष चौहत्तर हजार छ: सौ थे।।

27. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

28. और इस्साकार के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

28. Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

29. और इस्साकार के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष चौवन हजार चार सौ थे।।

29. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

30. और जबूलून वे वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

30. Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

31. और जबूलून के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष सत्तावन हजार चार सौ थे।।

31. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

32. और यूसुफ के वंश में से एप्रैम के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

32. Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

33. और एप्रैम गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष साढ़े चालीस हजार थे।।

33. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.

34. और मनश्शे के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

34. Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

35. और मनश्शे के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष बत्तीस हजार दो सौ थे।।

35. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

36. और बिन्यामीन के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

36. Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

37. और बिन्यामीन के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष पैंतीस हजार चार सौ थे।।

37. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

38. और दान के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

38. Of the children of Dan, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

39. और दान के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष बासठ हजार सात सौ थे।।

39. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

40. और आशेर के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उससे अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

40. Of the children of Asher, by their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

41. और आशेर के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष साढ़े एकतालीस हजार थे।।

41. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

42. और नप्ताली के वंश के जितने पुरूष अपने कुलों और अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के थे और जो युद्ध करने के योग्य थे, वे सब अपने अपने नाम से गिने गए:

42. Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, according to their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war:

43. और नप्ताली के गोत्रा के गिने हुए पुरूष तिरपन हजार चार सौ थे।।

43. those who were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

44. इस प्रकार मूसा और हारून और इस्त्राएल के बारह प्रधानों ने, जो अपने अपने पितरों के घराने के प्रधान थे, उन सभों को गिन लिया और उनकी गिनती यही थी।

44. These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men; each one was for the house of his fathers.

45. सो जितने इस्त्राएली बीस वर्ष वा उस से अधिक अवस्था के होने के कारण युद्ध करने के योग्य थे वे अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार गिने गए,

45. So were all those who were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war in Israel,

46. और वे सब गिने हुए पुरूष मिलाकर छ: लाख तीन हजार साढ़े पांच सौ थे।।

46. even all those who were numbered were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

47. इन में लेवीय अपने पितरों के गोत्रा के अनुसार नहीं गिने गए।

47. But the Levites, according to the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

48. क्योंकि यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा था,

48. For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,

49. कि लेवीय गोत्रा की गिनती इस्त्राएलियों के संग न करना;

49. Only the tribe of Levi shalt thou not number, neither take the count of them among the children of Israel;

50. परन्तु तू लेवियों को साक्षी के तम्बू पर, और उसके कुल सामान पर, निदान जो कुछ उस से सम्बन्ध रखता है उस पर अधिकारी नियुक्त करना; और कुल सामान सहित निवास को वे ही उठाया करें, और वे ही उस में सेवा टहल भी किया करें, और तम्बू के आसपास वे ही अपने डेरे डाला करें।

50. but thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof and over all things that belong to it. They shall bear the tabernacle and all the vessels thereof, and they shall minister unto it and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

51. और जब जब निवास का कूच हो तब तब लेवीय उसको गिरा दें, और जब जब निवास को खड़ा करना हो तब तब लेवीय उसको खड़ा किया करें; और यदि कोई दूसरा समीप आए तो वह मार डाला जाए।

51. And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up; and the stranger who cometh nigh shall be put to death.

52. और इस्त्राएली अपना अपना डेरा अपनी अपनी छावनी में और अपने अपने झण्डे के पास खड़ा किया करें;

52. And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

53. पर लेवीय अपने डेरे साक्षी के तम्बू ही की चारों ओर खड़े किया करें, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि इस्त्राएलियों की मण्डली पर कोप भड़के; और लेवीय साक्षी के तम्बू की रक्षा किया करें।

53. But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.'

54. जो आज्ञाएं यहोवा ने मूसा को दी थीं इस्त्राएलियों ने उन्हीं के अनुसार किया।।

54. And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses; so did they.
