1. अहज्याह के पुत्रा यहूदा के राजा योआश के तेईसवें वर्ष में यंहू का मुत्रा यहोआहाज शोमरोन में इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा, और सत्राह वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।

1. In ye XXIII. yeare of Ioas the sonne of Ochosias kynge of Iuda, was Ioahas the sonne of Iehu kynge ouer Israel at Samaria, seuentene yeare:

2. और उस ने वह किया, जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था अर्थात् नबात के पुत्रा यारोबाम जिस ने इस्राएल से पाप कराया था, उसके पापों के अनुसार वह करता रहा, और उनको छोड़ न दिया।

2. & dyd yt which was euell in the sighte of the LORDE, and walked after the sinnes of Ieroboam ye sonne of Nebat (which caused Israel to synne) and lefte not of from them.

3. इसलिये यहोवा का क्रोध इस्राएलियों के विरूद्ध भड़क उठा, और उस ने उनको अराम के राजा हजाएल, और उसके पुत्रा बेन्हदद के अधीन कर दिया।

3. And ye wrath of the LORDE waxed whote vpon Israel, & he delyuered them ouer vnder the hande of Hasael kynge of Syria, and vnder the hande of Benadad the sonne of Hasael, as longe as they lyued.

4. तब यहोआहाज यहोवा के साम्हने गिड़गिड़ाया और यहोवा ने उसकी सुन ली; क्योंकि उस ने इस्राएल पर अन्धेर देखा कि अराम का राजा उन पर कैसा अन्धेर करता था।

4. And Ioahas besoughte the face of the LORDE. And the LORDE herde him, for he consydered the myserie of Israel, how the kynge of Syria oppressed them.

5. इसलिये यहोवा ने इस्राएल को एक छुड़ानेवाला दिया और वे अराम के वश से छूट गए; और इस्राएली अगले दिनों की नाई फिर अपने अपने डेरे में रहने लगे।

5. And ye LORDE gaue Israel a sauioure, which broughte them out of the power of the Syrians, so yt the children of Israel dwelt in their tentes, like as afore tyme.

6. तौभी वे ऐसे पापों से न फिरे, जैसे यारोबाम के घराने ने किया, और जिनके अनुसार उस ने इस्राएल से पाप कराए थे : परन्तु उन में चलते रहे, और शोमरोन में अशेरा भी खड़ी रही।

6. Yet lefte they not from the synnes of the house of Ieroboam, which caused Israel to synne, but walked in them. The groue at Samaria stode styll also.

7. अराम के राजा ने तो यहोआहाज की सेना में से केवल पचास सवार, दस रथ, और दस हजार प्यादे छोड़ दिए थे; क्योंकि उस ने उनको नाश किया, और रौंद रौंदकर के धूलि में मिला दिया था।

7. For of the people of Ioahas there were no mo lefte, but fyftye horsmen, ten charettes, and ten thousande fote men: for the kynge of Syria had destroyed them, and made them as the dust in the barne.

8. यहोआहाज के और सब काम जो उस ने किए, और उसकी वीरता, यह सब क्या इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है?

8. What more there is to saye of Ioahas, and all that he dyd, and his power, beholde, it is wrytten in the Cronicles of the kynges of Israel.

9. निदान यहोआहाज अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया और शोमरोन में उसे मिद्दी दी बई; और उसका पुत्रा योआश उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।

9. And Ioahas fell on slepe with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, & Ioas his sonne was kinge in his steade.

10. यहूदा के राजा योआश के राज्य के सैंतीसवें वर्ष में यहोआहाज का पुत्रा यहोआश शोमरोन में इस्राएल पर राज्य करते लगा, और सोलह वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।

10. In the seuen and thirtieth yeare of Ioas kynge of Iuda, was Ioas the sonne of Ioahas kynge ouer Israel at Samaria sixtene yeare.

11. और उस ने वह किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था, अर्थात् नबात का पुत्रा यारोबाम जिस ने इस्राएल से पाप कराया था, उसके पापो के अनुसार वह करता रहा, और उन से अलग न हुआ।

11. And he dyd that which was euell in the sighte of the LORDE, and departed not from all the synnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel for to synne, but walked in them.

12. योआश के और सब काम जो उस ने किए, और ख्सि वीरता से वह सहूदा के राजा अमस्याह से लड़ा, यह सब क्या इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है?

12. What more there is to saye of Ioas, and what he dyd, & his power, how he foughte with Amasias kynge of Iuda, beholde, it is wrytten in the Cronicles of the kynges of Israel.

13. निदान योआश अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया और यारोबाम उसकी गद्दी पर विराजमान हुआ; और योआश को शोमरोन में इय्राएल के राजाओं के बीच मिट्टी दी गई।

13. And Ioas fell on slepe with his fathers, and Ieroboam sat vpo his seate. And Ioas was buried in Samaria wt the kynges of Israel.

14. और एलीशा को वह रोग लग गया जिस से वह मरने पर था, तब इस्राएल का राजा योआश उसके पास गया, और उसके ऊपर रोकर कहने लगा, हाय मेरे पिता ! हाय मेरे पिता ! हाय इस्राएल के रथ और सवारो ! एलीश ने उस से कहा, धनुष और तीर ले आ।

14. As for Eliseus, he fell in to a sicknes, wherof he dyed. And Ioas the kynge of Israel came downe vnto him, and wepte for him, and saide: My father, my father, the charetman of Israel, and his horsmen.

15. वह उसके पास धनुष और तीर ले आया।

15. Eliseus sayde vnto him: Take the bowe and the arowes

16. तब उस ने इस्राएल के राजा से कहा, धनुष पर अपना हाथ लगा। जब उस ने अपना हाथ लगाया, तब एलीशा ने अपने हाथ राजा के हाथों पर धर दिए।

16. And whan he had taken the bowe and the arowes, he sayde vnto the kynge of Israel: Bende the bowe with thine hande. And he bent it with his hade. And Eliseus layed his hande vpon the kynges hande,

17. तब उस ने कहा, पूर्व की खिड़की खोल। जब उस ने उसे खोल दिया, तब एलीशा ने कहा, तीर छोड़ दे; उस ने तीर छोड़ा। और एलीशा ने कहा, यह तीर यहोवा की ओर से छुटकारे अर्थात् अराम से छुटकारे का चिहृ है, इसलिये तू अपेक में अराम को यहां तक मार लेगा कि उनका अन्त कर डालेगा।

17. and sayde: Open that wyndowe towarde the East. And he opened it. And Eliseus saide: Shute. And he shot. He sayde: one arowe of the saluacion of the LORDE, one arowe of saluacio agaynst the Syrians: and thou shalt smyte the Syrians at Aphek, tyll they be brought to naughte.

18. फिर उस ने कहा, तीरों को ले; और जब उस ने उन्हें लिया, तब उस ने इस्राएल के राजा से कहा, भूमि पर मार; तब वह तीन बार मार कर ठहर गया।

18. And he sayde: Take ye arowes. And wha he had taken them, he sayde vnto the kynge of Israel: Smyte the earth. And he smote thre tymes and stode still.

19. और परमेश्वर के जन ने उस पर क्रोधित होकर कहा, तुझे तो पांच छे बार मारना चाहिये था। ऐसा करते से तो तू अराम को यहां तक मारता कि उनका अन्त कर डालता, परन्तु अब तू उन्हें तीन ही बार मारेगा।

19. Then was the ma of God wroth at him, and sayde: Yf thou haddest smytten fyue or sixe times, thou shuldest haue smytten ye Syrians, tyll thou haddest vtterly brought them to naughte. But now shalt thou smyte them thre tymes.

20. तब एलीशा मर गया, और उसे मिट्टी दी गई। एक वर्ष के बाद मोआब के दल देश में आए।

20. Whan Eliseus was deed and buried, the men of warre of the Moabites fell in to the londe the same yeare.

21. लोग किसी मनुष्य को मिट्ठी दे रहे थे, कि एक दल उन्हें देख पड़ा तब उन्हों ने उस लोथ को एलीशा की कबर में डाल दिया, और एलीशा की हडि्ढयों के छूते ही वह जी उठा, और अपने पावों के बल खड़ा हो गया।

21. And it fortuned yt they buryed a certaine man. But wha they sawe the men of warre, they cast the man in to Eliseus graue. And whan he was therin, and touched Eliseus bones, he reuyued, and stode vpon his fete.

22. यहोआहाज के जीवन भर अराम का राजा हजाएल इस्राएल पर अन्धेर ही करता रहा।

22. So Hasael the kynge of Syria oppressed Israel, as longe as Ioahas lyued.

23. परन्तु यहोवा ने उन पर अनुग्रह किया, और उन पर दया करके अपनी उस वाचा के कारण जो उस ने इब्राहीम, इसहाक और याकूब से बान्धी थी, उन पर कृपा दृष्टि की, और न तो उन्हें नाश किया, और न अपने साम्हने से निकाल दिया।

23. But the LORDE was gracious vnto them, and had mercy vpon them, and turned him to them for his couenauntes sake, with Abraham, Isaac and Iacob, and wolde not destroye the nether dyd he cast them out from his presence vnto this houre.

24. तब अराम का राजा हजाएल मर गया, और उसका पुत्रा बेन्हदद उसके स्थान पर राजा बन गया।

24. And Hasael the kinge of Syria dyed, and Benadad his sonne was kynge in his steade.

25. और यहोआहाज के पुत्रा यहोआश ने हजाएल के पुत्रा बेन्हदद के हाथ से वे नगर फिर ले लिए, जिन्हें उस ने युठ्ठ करके उसके पिता यहोआहाज के हाथ से छीन लिया था। योआश ने उसको तीन बार जीतकर इस्राएल के नगर फिर ले लिए।

25. But Ioas turned backe, and toke out of the hande of Benadad the sonne of Hasael the cyties which he had take in battaill out of the hande of his father Ioahas: Thre tymes dyd Ioas smyte him, and broughte the cities of Israel agayne.
