1. फिर यहोवा ने सीनै पर्वत के पास मूसा से कहा,

1. And the LORD spoke unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

2. इस्त्राएलियों से कह, कि जब तुम उस देश में प्रवेश करो जो मैं तुम्हें देता हूं, तब भूमि को यहोवा के लिये विश्राम मिला करे।

2. Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.

3. छ: वर्ष तो अपना अपना खेत बोया करना, और छहों वर्ष अपनी अपनी दाख की बारी छांट छांटकर देश की उपज इकट्ठी किया करना;

3. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard and gather in the fruit thereof,

4. परन्तु सातवें वर्ष भूमि को यहोवा के लिये परमविश्रामकाल मिला करे; उस में न तो अपना खेत बोना और न अपनी दाख की बारी छांटना।

4. but the seventh year the land shall have a sabbath of rest, a sabbath unto the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field nor prune thy vineyard.

5. जो कुछ काटे हुए खेत में अपने आप से उगे उसे न काटना, और अपनी बिन छांटी हुई दाखलता की दाखों को न तोड़ना; क्योंकि वह भूमि के लिये परमविश्राम का वर्ष होगा।

5. That which grows of its own accord in thy land that was harvested, thou shalt not reap; neither fence in the grapes of thy consecrated vine; [for] it is a year of rest unto the land.

6. और भूमि के विश्रामकाल ही की उपज से तुम को, और तुम्हारे दास- दासी को, और तुम्हारे साथ रहनेवाले मजदूरों और परदेशियों को भी भोजन मिलेगा;

6. But the sabbath of the land shall be food for you, for thee and for thy servant and for thy maid and for thy hired servant and for thy stranger that sojourns with thee

7. और तुम्हारे पशुओं का और देश में जितने जीवजन्तु हों उनका भी भोजन भूमि की सब उपज से होगा।।

7. and for thy beast and for the animals that [are] in thy land shall all the fruit thereof be food.

8. और सात विश्रामवर्ष, अर्थात् सातगुना सात वर्ष गिन लेना, सातों विश्रामवर्षों का यह समय उनचास वर्ष होगा।

8. And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty-nine years.

9. तब सातवें महीने के दसवें दिन को, अर्थात् प्रायश्चित्त के दिन, जय जयकार के महाशब्द का नरसिंगा अपने सारे देश में सब कहीं फुंकवाना।

9. Then shalt thou cause the shofar to [sound] an alarm on the tenth [day] of the seventh month; in the day of the reconciliations shall ye cause the shofar to sound throughout all your land.

10. और उस पचासवें वर्ष को पवित्रा करके मानना, और देश के सारे निवासियों के लिये छुटकारे का प्रचार करना; वह वर्ष तुम्हारे यहां जुबली कहलाए; उस में तुम अपनी अपनी निज भूमि और अपने अपने घराने में लौटने पाओगे।

10. And ye shall sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every one unto his possession, and ye shall return each one unto his family.

11. तुम्हारे यहां वह पचासवां वर्ष जुबली का वर्ष कहलाए; उस में तुम न बोना, और जो अपने आप ऊगे उसे भी न काटना, और न बिन छांटी हुई दाखलता की दाखों को तोड़ना।

11. A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you; ye shall not sow nor reap that which grows of itself in it nor fence in thy consecrated vine.

12. क्योंकि वह जो जुबली का वर्ष होगा; वह तुम्हारे लिये पवित्रा होगा; तुम उसकी उपज खेत ही में से ले लेके खाना।

12. For it [is] the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you; ye shall eat the fruit of the land.

13. इस जुबली के वर्ष में तुम अपनी अपनी निज भूमि को लौटने पाओगे।

13. In this year of jubilee ye shall return each one unto his possession.

14. और यदि तुम अपने भाईबन्धु के हाथ कुछ बेचो वा अपने भाईबन्धु से कुछ मोल लो, तो तुम एक दूसरे पर अन्धेर न करना।

14. And if thou sell anything unto thy neighbour or buy [anything] of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another.

15. जुबली के पीछे जितने वर्ष बीते हों उनकी गिनती के अनुसार दाम ठहराके एक दूसरे से मोल लेना, और शेष वर्षों की उपज के अनुसार वह तेरे हाथ बेचे।

15. According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, [and] according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee.

16. जितने वर्ष और रहें उतना ही दाम बढ़ाना, और जितने वर्ष कम रहें उतना ही दाम घटाना, क्योंकि वर्ष की उपज जितनी हों उतनी ही वह तेरे हाथ बेचेगा।

16. According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it; for [according] to the number [of the years] of the fruits does he sell unto thee.

17. और तुम अपने अपने भाईबन्धु पर अन्धेर न करना; अपने परमेश्वर का भय मानना; मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा हूं।

17. Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I [am] the LORD your God.

18. इसलिये तुम मेरी विधियों को मानना, और मेरे नियमों पर समझ बूझकर चलना; क्योंकि ऐसा करने से तुम उस देश में निडर बसे रहोगे।

18. Execute, therefore, my statutes and keep my rights and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety;

19. और भूमि अपनी उपज उपजाया करेगी, और तुम पेट भर खाया करोगे, और उस देश में निडर बसे रहोगे।

19. and the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill and dwell therein in safety.

20. और यदि तुम कहो, कि सातवें वर्ष में हम क्या खाएंगे, न तो हम बोएंगे न अपने खेत की उपज इकट्ठी करेंगे?

20. And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow nor gather in our fruits,

21. तो जानो कि मैं तुम को छठवें वर्ष में ऐसी आशीष दूंगा, कि भूमि की उपज तीन वर्ष तक काम आएगी।

21. then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

22. तुम आठवें वर्ष में बोओगे, और पुरानी उपज में से खाते रहोगे, और नवें वर्ष की उपज में से खाते रहोगे।

22. And ye shall sow the eighth year and eat [yet] of old fruit; until the ninth year, until her fruits come in ye shall eat [of] the old [store].

23. भूमि सदा के लिये तो बेची न जाए, क्योंकि भूमि मेरी है; और उस में तुम परदेशी और बाहरी होगे।

23. The land shall not be sold for ever, for the land [is] mine; for ye [are] strangers and sojourners with me.

24. लेकिन तुम अपने भाग के सारे देश में भूमि को छुड़ा लेने देना।।

24. Therefore, in all the land of your possession, ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

25. यदि तेरा कोई भाईबन्धु कंगाल होकर अपनी निज भूमि में से कुछ बेच डाले, तो उसके कुटुम्बियों में से जो सब से निकट हो वह आकर अपने भाईबन्धु के बेचे हुए भाग को छुड़ा ले।

25. If thy brother becomes poor and has sold away [some] of his possession, his redeemer shall come, his closest [kinsman], and shall redeem that which his brother sold.

26. और यदि किसी मनुष्य के लिये कोई छुड़ानेवाला न हो, और उसके पास इतना धन हो कि आप ही अपने भाग को छुड़ा ले सके,

26. And when the man has no redeemer and is able to stretch forth his hand and find enough for his redemption,

27. तो वह उसके बिकने के समय से वर्षों की गिनती करके शेष वर्षों की उपज का दाम उसको जिस ने उसे मोल लिया हो फेर दे; तब वह अपनी निज भूमि का अधिकारी हो जाए।

27. then he shall count the years from the sale thereof and pay that which remains unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.

28. परन्तु यदि उसके इतनी पूंजी न हो कि उसे फिर अपनी कर सके, तो उसकी बेची हुई भूमि जुबली के वर्ष तक मोल लेनेवालों के हाथ में रहे; और जुबली के वर्ष में छूट जाए तब वह मनुष्य अपनी निज भूमि का फिर अधिकारी हो जाए।।

28. But if he is not able to stretch forth his hand and find enough to return unto it, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of the one that has bought it until the year of jubilee; and in the jubilee [the land] shall go out [free], and he shall return unto his possession.

29. फिर यदि कोई मनुष्य शहरपनाह वाले नगर में बसने का घर बेचे, तो वह बेचने के बाद वर्ष भर के अन्दर उसे छुड़ा सकेगा, अर्थात् पूरे वर्ष भर उस मनुष्य को छुड़ाने का अधिकार रहेगा।

29. And if a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; [within] a full year may he redeem it.

30. परन्तु यदि वह वर्ष भर में न छुड़ाए, तो वह घर पर शहरपनाहवाले नगर में हो मोल लेनेवाले का बना रहे, और पीढ़ी- पीढ़ी में उसी मे वंश का बना रहे; और जुबली के वर्ष में भी न छूटे।

30. And if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to the one that bought it for his descendants; it shall not go out in the jubilee.

31. परन्तु बिना शहरपनाह के गांवों के घर तो देश के खेतों के समान गिने जाएं; उनका छुड़ाना भी हो सकेगा, और वे जुबली के वर्ष में छूट जाएं।

31. But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country; they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

32. और लेवियों के निज भाग के नगरों के जो घर हों उनको लेवीय जब चाहें तब छुड़ाएं।

32. Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites [and] the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.

33. और यदि कोई लेवीय अपना भाग न छुड़ाए, तो वह बेचा हुआ घर जो उसके भाग के नगर में हो जुबली के वर्ष में छूट जाए; क्योंकि इस्त्राएलियों के बीच लेवियों का भाग उनके नगरों में वे घर ही हैं।

33. And if a man [makes a] purchase from the Levites, then the house that was sold and the city of his possession, shall go out in [the year of] jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites [are] their possession among the sons of Israel.

34. और उनके नगरों की चारों ओर की चराई की भूमि बेची न जाए; क्योंकि वह उनका सदा का भाग होगा।।

34. But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold, for it [is] their perpetual possession.

35. फिर यदि तेरा कोई भाईबन्धु कंगाल हो जाए, और उसकी दशा तेरे साम्हने तरस योग्य हो जाए, तो तू उसको संभालना; वह परदेशी वा यात्री की नाई तेरे संग रहे।
लूका 6:35

35. And if thy brother becomes poor and comes unto thee, then thou shalt receive him; as a stranger, or a sojourner, he shall live with thee.

36. उस से ब्याज वा बढ़ती न लेना; अपने परमेश्वर का भय मानना; जिस से तेरा भाईबन्धु तेरे संग जीवन निर्वाह कर सके।
लूका 6:35

36. Take thou no usury of him, or increase; but thou shalt have the fear of thy God, and thy brother shall live with thee.

37. उसको ब्याज पर रूपया न देना, और न उसको भोजनवस्तु लाभ के लालच से देना।

37. Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy food for increase.

38. मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा हूं; मैं तुम्हें कनान देश देने के लिये और तुम्हारा परमेश्वर ठहरने की मनसा से तुम को मि देश से निकाल लाया हूं।।

38. I AM your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan [and] to be your God.

39. फिर यदि तेरा कोई भाईबन्धु तेरे साम्हने कंगाल होकर अपने आप को तेरे हाथ बेच डाले, तो उस से दास के समान सेवा न करवाना।

39. And when thy brother becomes poor, [being] with thee, and if he should sell himself unto thee, thou shalt not compel him to serve as a slave.

40. वह तेरे संग मजदूर वा यात्री की नाई रहे, और जुबली के वर्ष तक तेरे संग रहकर सेवा करता रहे;

40. As a hired servant [and] as a sojourner, he shall be with thee [and] shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee.

41. तब वह बालबच्चों समेत तेरे पास से निकल जाए, और अपने कुटुम्ब में और अपने पितरों की निज भूमि में लौट जाए।

41. Then he shall depart [free] from thy house, [both] he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he be restored.

42. क्योंकि वे मेरे ही दास हैं, जिनको मैं मि देश से निकाल लाया हूं; इसलिये वे दास की रीति से न बेचे जाएं।

42. For they belong to me, I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.

43. उस पर कठोरता से अधिकार न करना; अपने परमेश्वर का भय मानते रहना।
कुलुस्सियों 4:1

43. Thou shalt not rule over him with rigor, but shalt fear thy God.

44. तेरे जो दास- दासियां हों वे तुम्हारी चारों ओर की जातियों में से हों, और दास और दासियां उन्हीं में से मोल लेना।

44. Both thy bondmen and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, [shall be] of the Gentiles that are round about you; of them shall ye buy slaves.

45. और जो यात्री लोग तुम्हारे बीच में परदेशी होकर रहेंगे, उन में से और उनके घरानों में से भी जो तुमहारे आस पास हों, और जो तुम्हारे देश में उत्पन्न हुए हों, उन में से तुम दास और दासी मोल लो; और वे तुम्हारा भाग ठहरें।

45. Ye may also buy of the children of the strangers that live among you and of those of their lineage that are born in your land, who [are] with you, and they shall be your possession.

46. और तुम अपने पुत्रों को भी जो तुम्हारे बाद होंगे उनके अधिकारी कर सकोगे, और वे उनका भाग ठहरें; उन में से तुम सदा अपने लिये दास लिया करना, परन्तु तुम्हारे भाईबन्धु जो इस्त्राएली हों उन पर अपना अधिकार कठोरता से न जताना।।

46. And ye shall possess them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit as a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever; but over your brethren, the sons of Israel, ye shall not rule over one another with rigor.

47. फिर यदि तेरे साम्हने कोई परदेशी वा यात्री धनी हो जाए, और उसके साम्हने तेरा भाई कंगाल होकर अपने आप को तेरे साम्हने उस परदेशी वा यात्री वा उसके वंश के हाथ बेच डाले,

47. And if a sojourner or stranger who is with thee becomes rich and thy brother who is with him becomes poor and sells himself unto the stranger [or] sojourner who is with thee or to the race of the lineage of the stranger,

48. तो उसके बिक जाने के बाद वह फिर छुड़ाया जा सकता है; उसके भाइयों में से कोई उसको छुड़ा सकता है,

48. after he is sold he shall have redemption; one of his brethren shall redeem him;

49. वा उसका चाचा, वा चचेरा भाई, तथा उसके कुल का कोई भी निकट कुटुम्बी उसको छुड़ा सकता है; वा यदि वह धनी हो जाए, तो वह आप ही अपने को छुड़ा सकता है।

49. either his uncle or his uncle's son shall redeem him; or [any] that is near of kin unto him of his lineage shall redeem him; or if he is able, he may redeem himself.

50. वह अपने मोल लेनेवाले के साथ अपने बिकने के वर्ष से जुबली के वर्ष तक हिसाब करे, और उसके बिकने का दाम वर्षों की गिनती के अनुसार हो, अर्थात् वह दाम मजदूर के दिवसों के समान उसके साथ होगा।

50. And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years, according to the time of a hired servant shall it be with him.

51. यदि जुबली के बहुत वर्ष रह जाएं, तो जितने रूपयों से वह मोल लिया गया हो उन में से वह अपने छुड़ाने का दाम उतने वर्षों के अनुसार फेर दे।

51. If [there are] yet many years, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

52. और यदि जुबली के वर्ष के थोड़े वर्ष रह गए हों, तौभी वह अपने स्वामी के साथ हिसाब करके अपने छुड़ाने का दाम उतने ही वर्षों के अनुसार फेर दे।

52. And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him, [and] according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.

53. वह अपने स्वामी के संग उस मजदूर के सामान रहे जिसकी वार्षिक मजदूरी ठहराई जाती हो; और उसका स्वामी उस पर तेरे साम्हने कठोरता से अधिकार न जताने पाए।
कुलुस्सियों 4:1

53. [And] as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him; [and the other] shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.

54. और यदि वह इन रीतियों से छुड़ाया न जाए, तो वह जुबली के वर्ष में अपने बाल- बच्चों समेत छूट जाए।

54. And if he is not redeemed in these [years], then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, [both] he and his children with him.

55. क्योंकि इस्त्राएली मेरे ही दास हैं; वे मि देश से मेरे ही निकाले हुए दास हैं; मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा हूं।।

55. For the sons of Israel [are] mine; they [are] my slaves whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. I AM your God.:
