1. Here are the names of the sons of Israel. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,

2. यूसुफ, बिन्यामीन, नन्ताली, गाद और आशेर।

2. Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, Asher.

3. यहूदा के ये पुत्रा हुए : एर, ओनान और शेला, उसके ये तीनों पुत्रा, बतशू नाम एक कनानी स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुए। और यहूदा का जेठा एर, यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था, इस कारण उस ने उसको मार डाला।

3. The sons of Judah were Er, Onan and Shelah. A woman from Canaan had those three sons by him. She was the daughter of Shua. Er was Judah's oldest son. He was evil in the Lord's eyes. So the Lord put him to death.

4. यहूदा की बहू तामार से पेरेस और जेरह उत्पन्न हुए। यहूदा के सब पुत्रा पांच हुए।

4. Tamar was Judah's daughter-in-law. She had Perez and Zerah by him. The total number of Judah's sons was five.

5. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

6. और जेरेह के पुत्रा : जिम्री, एतान, हेमान, कलकोल और दारा सब मिलकर पांच।

6. The sons of Zerah were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Darda. The total number of Zerah's sons was five.

7. फिर कम का पुत्रा : आकार जो अर्पण की हुई पस्तु के विषय में विश्वासघात करके इस्राएलियों का कष्ट देनेवाला हुआ।

7. The son of Carmi was Achar. He brought trouble on Israel. He took some of the things that had been set apart to the Lord in a special way to be destroyed. When he did that, he disobeyed the Lord's command.

8. और एतान का पुत्रा : अजर्याह।

8. The son of Ethan was Azariah.

9. हेस्रोन के जो पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुए : यरह्येल, राम और कलूबै।

9. Hezron was the father of Jerahmeel, Ram and Caleb.

10. और राम से अम्मीनादाब और अम्मीनादाब से नहशोन उत्पन्न हुआ जो यहूदियों का प्रधान बना।

10. Ram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the leader of the people of Judah.

11. और नहशोन से सल्मा और सल्मा से बोअज,

11. Nahshon was the father of Salmon. Salmon was the father of Boaz.

12. Boaz was the father of Obed. And Obed was the father of Jesse.

15. इनकी बहिनें सरूयाह ओर अबीगैल थीं।

15. The sixth was Ozem. And the seventh was David.

16. और सरूयाह के पुत्रा अबीशै, योआब और असाहेल ये तीन थे।

16. Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. Zeruiah's three sons were Abishai, Joab and Asahel.

17. और अबीगैल से अमासा उत्पन्न हुआ, और अमासा का पिता इश्माएली येतेर था।

17. Abigail was the mother of Amasa. Amasa's father was Jether. Jether belonged to the family line of Ishmael.

18. हेस्रोन के पुत्रा कालेब के अजूबा नाम एक स्त्री से, और यरीओत से, बेटे उत्पन्न हुए; और इसके पुत्रा ये हूए अर्थात् येशेर, शेबाब और अद न।

18. Caleb was the son of Hezron. Caleb's wife Azubah had children by him. Jerioth also had children by him. Azubah's sons were Jesher, Shobab and Ardon.

19. जब अजूबा मर गई, सब कालेब ने एप्रात को ब्याह लिया; और जिससे हूर उत्पन्न हुआ।

19. When Azubah died, Caleb got married to Ephrath. She had Hur by him.

20. और हूर से ऊरी और ऊरी से बसलेल उत्पन्न हुआ।

20. Hur was the father of Uri. And Uri was the father of Bezalel.

21. इसके बाद हेस्रोन गिलाद के पिता माकीर की बेटी के पास गया, जिसे उस ने तब ब्याह लिया, जब वह साठ वर्ष का था; और उस से सगूब उत्पन्न हुआ।

21. Later, Hezron made love to the daughter of Makir. He had gotten married to her when he was 60 years old. She had Segub by him. Makir was the father of Gilead.

23. But Geshur and Aram captured Havvoth Jair. They also captured Kenath and the settlements that were around it. The total number of towns that were captured was 60. Hezron, Segub and Jair belonged to the family line of Makir. Makir was the father of Gilead.

24. और जब हेस्रोन कालेबेप्राता में मर गया, तब उसकी अबिरयाह नाम स्त्री से अशहूर उत्पन्न हुआ जो तको का पिता हुआ।

24. Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah. Abijah was Hezron's wife. She had Ashhur by him. Ashhur was born after Hezron died. Ashhur was the father of Tekoa.

25. और हेस्रोन के जेठे यरह्येल के ये पुत्रा हुए : अर्थात् राम जो उसका जेठा था; और बूना, ओरेन, ओसेम और यहिरयाह।

25. Here are the sons of Jerahmeel. He was the oldest son of Hezron. Ram was Jerahmeel's oldest son. Then came Bunah, Oren, Ozem and Ahijah.

26. और यरह्येल की एक और पत्नी थी, जिसका नाम अतारा था; वह ओनाम की माता थी।

26. Jerahmeel had another wife. Her name was Atarah. She was the mother of Onam.

27. और यरह्येल के जेठे राम के ये पुत्रा हुए, अर्थात् मास, यामीन और एकेर।

27. Here are the sons of Ram. He was the oldest son of Jerahmeel. The sons of Ram were Maaz, Jamin and Eker.

28. और ओनाम के पुत्रा शम्मै और यादा हुए। और शम्मै के पुत्रा नादाब और अबीशूर हुए।

28. The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.

29. और अबीशूर की पत्नी का नाम अबीहैल था, और उस से अहबान और मोलीद उत्पन्न हुए।

29. Abishur's wife was named Abihail. She had Ahban and Molid by him.

30. और नादाब के पुत्रा सेलेद और अत्पैम हुए; सेलेद तो निेसन्तान मर गया। और अत्तैम का पुत्रा यिशी।

30. The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. Seled died without having any children.

31. और यिशी का पुत्रा शेशान और शेशान का पुत्रा : अहलै।

31. The son of Appaim was Ishi. Ishi was the father of Sheshan. Sheshan was the father of Ahlai.

32. फिर शम्मै के भाई यादा के पुत्रा : येतेर और योनातान हुए; येतेर तो निेसन्तान मर गया।

32. The sons of Jada were Jether and Jonathan. Jada was Shammai's brother. Jether died without having any children.

33. यानातान के पुत्रा पेलेत और जाजा; यरह्येल के पुत्रा ये हुए।

33. The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. They belonged to the family line of Jerahmeel.

34. शेशान के तो बेटा न हुआ, केवल बेटियां हुई। शेशान के पास यर्हा नाम एक मिस्री दास था।

34. Sheshan didn't have any sons. All he had was daughters. He had a servant from Egypt named Jarha.

35. और शेशान ने उसको अपनी बेटी ब्याह दी, और उस से अत्तै उत्पन्न हुआ।

35. Sheshan gave his daughter to be married to his servant Jarha. She had Attai by Jarha.

36. और अत्तै से नातान, नातान से जाबाद।

36. Attai was the father of Nathan. Nathan was the father of Zabad.

37. जाबाद से एपलाल, एपलाल से ओबेद।

37. Zabad was the father of Ephlal. Ephlal was the father of Obed.

38. ओबेद से येहू, येहू से अजर्याह।

38. Obed was the father of Jehu. Jehu was the father of Azariah.

39. अजर्याह से हेलैस, हेलैस से एलासा।

39. Azariah was the father of Helez. Helez was the father of Eleasah.

40. एलासा से सिस्मै, सिस्मै से शल्लूम।

40. Eleasah was the father of Sismai. Sismai was the father of Shallum.

41. शल्लूम से यकम्याह और यकम्याह से एलीशामा उत्पन्न हुए।

41. Shallum was the father of Jekamiah. And Jekamiah was the father of Elishama.

42. फिर यरह्येल के भाई कालेब के ये पुत्रा हुए : अर्थात् उसका जेठा मेशा जो जीप का पिता हुआ। और मारेशा का पुत्रा हेब्रोन भी उसी के वंश में हुआ।

42. Caleb was the brother of Jerahmeel. Caleb's oldest son was Mesha. Mesha was the father of Ziph. Caleb had another son named Mareshah. Mareshah was the father of Hebron.

43. और हेब्रोन के पुत्रा कोरह, तप्पूह, रेकेम और शेमा।

43. The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema.

44. और शेमा से योर्काम का पिता रहम और रेकेम से शम्मै उत्पन्न हुआ था।

44. Shema was the father of Raham. Raham was the father of Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai.

45. और शम्मै का पुत्रा माओन हुआ; और माओन बेत्सूर का पिता हुआ।

45. The son of Shammai was Maon. Maon was the father of Beth Zur.

46. फिर एपा जो कालेब की रखेली थी, उस से हारान, मोसा और गाजेज उत्पन्न हुए; और हारान से गाजेज उत्पन्न हुआ।

46. Caleb had a concubine named Ephah. She was the mother of Haran, Moza and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.

47. फिर याहदै के पुत्रा रेगेम, योताम, गेशान, पेलेत, एपा और शाप।

47. The sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.

48. और माका जो कालेब की रखेली थी, उस से शेबेर और तिर्हाना उत्पन्न हुए।

48. Caleb had a concubine named Maacah. She was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah.

49. फिर उस से मदमन्ना का पिता शाप और मकबेना और गिबा का पिता शबा उत्पन्न हुए। और कालेब की बेटी अकसा थी। कालेब के पुत्रा यें हुए।

49. She was also the mother of Shaaph and Sheva. Shaaph was the father of Madmannah. Sheva was the father of Macbenah and Gibea. Caleb's daughter was Acsah.

50. एप्राता के जेठे हूर का पुत्रा किर्यत्यारीम का पिता शोबाल।

50. All of them belonged to the family line of Caleb. Hur was the oldest son of Ephrathah. Hur was the brother of Shobal. Shobal was the father of Kiriath Jearim.

51. बेतलेहेम का पिता सल्मा और बेतगादेर का पिता हारेप।

51. Hur was the father of Salma. Salma was the father of Bethlehem. Hur was also the father of Hareph. Hareph was the father of Beth Gader.

52. और किर्यत्यारीम के पिता शोबाल के वंश में हारोए आधे मनुहोतवासी,

52. Here is the family line of Shobal, the father of Kiriath Jearim. It included Haroeh and half of the people of Manahath.

53. और किर्यत्यारीम के कुल अर्थात् यित्री, पूती, शूमाती और मिश्राई और इन से सोराई और एश्ताओली निकले।

53. It also included the family groups of Kiriath Jearim. They were the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. The people of Zorah and Eshtaol belonged to those family groups.

54. फिर सल्मा के वंश में बेतलेहेम और नतोपाई, अत्रोतबेत्योआब और आधे मानहती, सोरी।

54. Here is the family line of Salma. It included Bethlehem, the people of Netophah, Atroth Beth Joab, half of the people of Manahath, and the Zorites.

55. फिर याबेस में रहनेवाले लेखकों के कुल अर्थात् तिराती, शिमाती और सूकाती हुए। ये रेकाब के घराने के मूलपुरूष हम्मन के वंशवाले केनी हैं।

55. It also included the family groups of secretaries who lived at Jabez. They were the Tirathites, Shimeathites and Sucathites. They were the Kenites who belonged to the family line of Hammath. Hammath was the father of the family line of Recab.
