1. सो यहूदी की क्या बड़ाई, या खतने का क्या लाभ?

1. Do the Jews have anything that those who are not Jews do not have? What good does it do to go through the religious act of becoming a Jew?

2. हर प्रकार से बहुत कुछ। पहिले तो यह कि परमशॆवर के वचन उन को सौंपे गए।

2. Yes, the Jews have much more in every way. First of all, God gave the Jews His Law.

3. यदि कितने विश्वसघाती निकले भी तो क्या हुआ। क्या उनके विश्वासघाती होने से परमेश्वर की सच्चाई व्यर्थ ठहरेगी?

3. If some of them were not faithful, does it mean that God will not be faithful?

4. कदापि नहीं, बरन परमेश्वर सच्चा और हर एक मनुष्य झूठा ठहरे, जैसा लिखा है, कि जिस से तू अपनी बातों में धर्मी ठहरे और न्याय करते समय तू जय पाए।
भजन संहिता 51:4, भजन संहिता 116:11

4. No, not at all! God is always true even if every man lies. The Holy Writings say, 'Speak the truth and you will not be proven guilty.' (Psalm 51:4)

5. सो यदि हमारा अधर्म परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता ठहरा देता है, तो हम क्या कहें? क्या यह कि परमेश्वर जो क्रोध करता है अन्यायी है? (यह तो मैं मनुष्य की रीति पर कहता हूं)।

5. If our sins show how right God is, what can we say? Is it wrong for God to punish us for it? (I am speaking as men do.)

6. कदापि नहीं, नहीं तो परमेश्वर क्योंकर जगत का न्याय करेगा?

6. No, not at all! If it were wrong for God to punish us, how could He judge the world?

7. यदि मेरे झूठ के कारण परमेश्वर की सच्चाई उस को महिमा के लिये अधिक करके प्रगट हुई, तो फिर क्यों पापी की नाई मैं दण्ड के योग्य ठहराया जाता हूं?

7. If my lies honor God by showing how true He is, why am I still being judged as a sinner?

8. और हम क्यों बुराई न करें, कि भलाई निकले? जब हम पर यही दोष लगाया भी जाता है, और कितने कहते हैं? कि इन का यही कहना है: परन्तु ऐसों का दोषी ठहराना ठीक है।।

8. Why not say, 'Let us sin that good will come from it.' (Some people have said I talk like this!) They will be punished as they should be.

9. तो फिर क्या हुआ? क्या हम उन से अच्छे हैं? कभी नही; क्योंकि हम यहूदियों और यूनानियों दोनों पर यह दोष लगा चुके हैं कि वे सब के सब पाप के वश में हैं।

9. What about it then? Are we Jews better than the people who are not Jews? Not at all! I have already said that Jews and the people who are not Jews are all sinners.

10. The Holy Writings say, 'There is not one person who is right with God. No, not even one!

11. कोई समझदार नहीं, कोई परमेश्वर का खोजनेवाला नहीं।

11. There is not one who understands. There is not one who tries to find God.' (Psalm 14:2)

12. सब भटक गए हैं, सब के सब निकम्मे बन गए, कोई भलाई करनेवाला नहीं, एक भी नहीं।

12. Everyone has turned away from God. They have all done wrong. Not one of them does what is good. No, not even one!

13. उन का गला खुली हुई कब्र है: उन्हीं ने अपनी जीभों से छल किया है: उन के होठों में सापों का विष है।

13. Their mouth is like an open grave. They tell lies with their tongues. (Psalm 5:9; 140:3) Whatever they say is like the poison of snakes.

14. और उन का मुंह श्राप और कड़वाहट से भरा है।

14. Their mouths speak bad things against God. They say bad things about other people. (Psalm 10:7)

15. उन के पांव लोहू बहाने को फुर्तीले हैं।

15. They are quick to hurt and kill people.

16. उन के मार्गों में नाश और क्लेश है।

16. Wherever they go, they destroy and make people suffer.

17. उन्हों ने कुशल का मार्ग नहीं जाना।

17. They know nothing about peace. (Isaiah 59:7-8)

18. उन की आंखों के साम्हने परमेश्वर का भय नहीं।
भजन संहिता 36:1

18. They do not honor God with love and fear.' (Psalm 36:1)

19. हम जानते हैं, कि व्यवस्था जो कुछ कहती है उन्हीं से कहती है, जो व्यवस्था के आधीन हैं: इसलिये कि हर एक मुंह बन्द किया जाए, और सारा संसार परमेश्वर के दण्ड के योग्य ठहरे।

19. Now we know that the Law speaks to those who live under the Law. No one can say that he does not know what sin is. Yes, every person in the world stands guilty before God.

20. क्योंकि व्यवस्था के कामों से कोई प्राणी उसके साम्हने धर्मी नहीं ठहरेगा, इसलिये कि व्यवस्था के द्वारा पाप की पहिचान होती है।
भजन संहिता 143:2

20. No person will be made right with God by doing what the Law says. The Law shows us how sinful we are.

21. पर अब बिना व्यवस्था परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता प्रगट हुई है, जिस की गवाही व्यवस्था और भविष्यद्वक्ता देते हैं।

21. But now God has made another way to make men right with Himself. It is not by the Law. The Law and the early preachers tell about it.

22. अर्थात् परमेश्वर की वह धार्मिकता, जो यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने से सब विश्वास करनेवालों के लिये है; क्योंकि कुछ भेद नहीं।

22. Men become right with God by putting their trust in Jesus Christ. God will accept men if they come this way. All men are the same to God.

23. इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया है और परमेश्वर की महिमा से रहित है।

23. For all men have sinned and have missed the shining-greatness of God.

24. परन्तु उसके अनुग्रह से उस छुटकारे के द्वारा जो मसीह यीशु में है, सेंत मेंत धर्मी ठहराए जाते हैं।

24. Anyone can be made right with God by the free gift of His lovingfavor. It is Jesus Christ Who bought them with His blood and made them free from their sins.

25. उसे परमेश्वर ने उसके लोहू के कारण एक ऐसा प्रायश्चित्त ठहराया, जो विश्वास करने से कार्यकारी होता है, कि जो पाप पहिले किए गए, और जिन की परमेश्वर ने अपनी सहनशीलता से आनाकानी की; उन के विषय में वह अपनी धार्मिकता प्रगट करे।

25. God gave Jesus Christ to the world. Men's sins can be forgiven through the blood of Christ when they put their trust in Him. God gave His Son Jesus Christ to show how right He is. Before this, God did not look on the sins that were done.

26. बरन इसी समय उस की धार्मिकता प्रगट हो; कि जिस से वह आप ही धर्मी ठहरे, और जो यीशु पर विश्वास करे, उसका भी धर्मी ठहरानेवाला हो।

26. But now God proves that He is right in saving men from sin. He shows that He is the One Who has no sin. God makes anyone right with Himself who puts his trust in Jesus.

27. तो घमण्ड करना कहां रहा? उस की तो जगह ही नहीं: कौन सी व्यवस्था के कारण से? क्या कर्मों की व्यवस्था से? नहीं, बरन विश्वास की व्यवस्था के कारण।

27. What then do we have to be proud of? Nothing at all! Why? Is it because men obey the Law? No! It is because men put their trust in Christ.

28. इसलिये हम इस परिणाम पर पहुंचते हैं, कि मनुष्य व्यवस्था के कामों के बिना विश्वास के द्वारा धर्मी ठहरता है।

28. This is what we have come to know. A man is made right with God by putting his trust in Christ. It is not by his doing what the Law says.

29. क्या परमेश्वर केवल यहूदियों हीं का है? क्या अन्यजातियों का नहीं? हां, अन्यजातियों का भी है।

29. Is God the God of the Jews only? Is He not the God of the people who are not Jews also? He is for sure.

30. क्योंकि एक ही परमेश्वर है, जो खतनावालों को विश्वास से और खतनारहितों को भी विश्वास के द्वारा धर्मी ठहराएगा।
व्यवस्थाविवरण 6:5

30. He is one God. He will make Jews and the people who are not Jews right with Himself if they put their trust in Christ.

31. तो क्या हम व्यवस्था को विश्वास के द्वारा व्यर्थ ठहराते हैं? कदापि नहीं; बरन व्यवस्था को स्थिर करते हैं।।

31. Does this mean that we do away with the Law when we put our trust in Christ? No, not at all. It means we know the Law is important.
