1. फिर छठवें वर्ष के छठवें महीने के पांचवें दिन को जब मैं अपने घर में बैठा था, और यहूदियों के पुरदिये मेरे साम्हने बैठे थे, तब प्रभु यहोवा की शक्ति वहीं मुझ पर प्रगट हुई।

1. And it was in the sixt yere, in the sixt [moneth] in the fift [day] of the moneth, I sate in my house, and the elders of Iuda sate before me, and the hande of the Lorde God fell there vpon me.

2. और मैं ने देखा कि आग का सा एक रूप दिखई देता है; उसकी कमर से नीचे की ओर आग है, और उसकी कमर से ऊपर की ओर झलकाए हुए पीतल की झलक सी कुछ है।

2. Then I behelde, and lo, there was a likenesse as the appearaunce of fire: from the appearaunce of his loynes downewarde, fire: and from his loynes vpwarde as the appearaunce of brightnesse, lyke the colour of amber.

3. उस ने हाथ सा कुछ बढ़ाकर मेरे सिर के बाल पकड़े; तब आत्मा ने मुझे पृथ्वी और आकाश के बीच में उठाकर परमेश्वर के दिखाए हुए दर्शनों में यरूशलेम के मन्दिर के भीतर, आंगन के उस फाटक के पास पहुचा दिया जिसका मुंह उत्तर की ओर है; और जिस में उस जलन उपजानेवाली प्रतिमा का स्थान था जिसके कारण द्वेष उपजता है।

3. And he stretched out the likenesse of an hande, and toke me by an heery locke of my head, and the spirite lift me vp betwixt earth and heauen, and brought me in a diuine vision to Hierusalem, into the entry of the inner gate that lyeth towarde the north, where remayned the image of emulation [and] of gayne.

4. फिर वहां इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का तेज वैसा ही था जैसा मैं ने मैदान में देखा था।

4. And beholde, the glorie of the Lorde God of Israel was in the same place, [euen] as I had seene it afore in the fielde.

5. उस ने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, अपनी आंखें उत्तर की ओर उठाकर देख। सो मैं ने अपनी आंखें उत्तर की ओर उठाकर देखा कि वेदी के फाटक की उत्तर की ओर उसके प्रवेशस्थान ही में वह डाह उपजानेवाली प्रतिमा है।

5. And he sayde vnto me, Thou sonne of man, lift vp thine eyes nowe towarde the north: then lift I vp mine eyes towarde the north, and beholde northwarde, at the gate of the aulter this image of emulation [was] in the entry.

6. तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, क्या तू देखता है कि ये लोग क्या कर रहे हैं? इस्राएल का घराना क्या ही बड़े घृणित काम यहां करता है, ताकि मैं अपने पवित्रास्थान से दूर हो जाऊं; परन्तु तू इन से भी अधिक घृणित काम देखेगा।

6. And he sayde furthermore vnto me, Thou sonne of man, seest thou what these do? seest thou the great abhominations that the house of Israel commit in this place, to driue me from my sanctuarie? but turne thee about, and thou shalt see yet greater abhominations.

7. तब वह मुझे आंगन के द्वार पर ले गया, और मैं ने देखा, कि भीत में एक छेद है।

7. And with that brought he me to the court gate, and when I loked, beholde there was a hole in the wall.

8. तब उस ने मूझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, भीत को फोड़; तो मैं ने भीत को फोड़कर क्या देखा कि एक द्वार है

8. Then sayde he vnto me, Thou sonne of man, digge nowe in the wall: and when I digged in the wall, beholde there was a doore.

9. उस ने मुझ से कहा, भीतर जाकर देख कि ये लोग यहां कैसे कैसे और अति घृणित काम कर रहे हैं।

9. And he sayde vnto me, Go thy way in, and loke what wicked abhominations they do here.

10. सो मैं ने भीतर जाकर देखा कि चारों ओर की भीत पर जाति जाति के रेंगनेवाले जन्तुओं और घृणित पशुओं और इस्राएल के घराने की सब मूरतों के चित्रा खिचे हुए हैं।

10. So I went in and sawe, and beholde there were al maner of creeping beastes, and abhominable beastes, and all the idols of the house of Israel paynted vpon the wall rounde about.

11. और इस्राएल के घराने के पुरनियों में से सत्तर पुरूष जिन के बीच में शापान का पुत्रा याजन्याह भी है, वे उन चित्रों के साम्हने खड़े हैं, और हर एक पुरूष अपने हाथ में घूपदान लिए हुए है; और धूप के धूएं के बादल की सुगन्ध उठ रही है।

11. There stoode also before the images threescore and ten men of the auncientes of the house of Israel, and in the middest of the stoode Iaazaniah the sonne of Shaphan, with euery man his censor in his hande, and the smoke of the insence ascended as a cloude.

12. तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, क्या तू ने देखा है कि इस्राएल के घराने के पुरनिये अपनी अपनी नक्काशीवाली कोठरियों के भीतर अर्थात् अन्धियारे में क्या कर रहे हैं? वे कहते हैं कि यहोवा हम को नहीं देखता; यहोवा ने देश को त्याग दिया है।

12. Then sayde he vnto me, Thou sonne of man, hast thou seene what the auncientes of the house of Israel do secretly, euery one in the chaumber of his imagerie? for they say, The Lorde seeth vs not, the Lorde hath forsaken the earth.

13. फिर उस ने मुझ से कहा, तू इन से और भी अति घृणित काम देखेगा जो वे करते हैं।

13. And he sayde vnto me, Turne thee yet agayne, and thou shalt see greater abhominations that they do.

14. तब वह मुझे यहोवा के भवन के उस फाटक के पास ले गया जो उत्तर की ओर था और वहां िस्.त्रायां बैठी हुई तम्मूज के लिये रो रही थीं।

14. And with that he brought me to the doore of the gate of the Lordes house towarde the north, and beholde there sate wome mourning for Thammuz.

15. तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, क्या तू ने यह देखा है? फिर इन से भी बड़े घृृणित काम तू देखेगा।

15. Then sayd he vnto me, Hast thou seene this thou sonne of man? turne thee yet about, and thou shalt see greater abhominations then these are.

16. तब वह मुझे यहोवा के भवन के भीतरी आंगन में ले गया; और वहां यहोवा के भवन के द्वार के पास ओसारे और वेदी के बीच कोई पच्चीस पुरूष अपनी पीठ यहोवा के भवन की ओर और अपने मुख पूर्व की ओर किए हुए थे; और वे पूर्व दिशा की ओर सूर्य को दण्डवत् कर रहे थे।

16. And so he brought me into the inward court of the Lordes house, and beholde at the doore of the Lordes house, betwixt the porche and the aulter, there were about twentie and fiue men that turned their backes vpon the temple of the Lorde, and their faces towarde the east, and these worshipped the sunne eastwarde.

17. तब उस ने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, क्या तू ने यह देखा? क्या यहूदा के घराने के लिये घृणित कामों का करना जो वे यहां करते हैं छोटी बात है? उन्होंने अपने देश को उपद्रव से भर दिया, और फिर यहां आकर मुझे रिस दिलाते हैं। वरन वे डाली को अपनी नाक के आगे लिए रहते हैं।

17. And he sayde vnto me, Hast thou seene this thou sonne of man? Thinketh the house of Iuda that it is but a trifle to do these abhominations which they do here? for they haue fylled the lande full of wickednesse, and haue returned to prouoke me to anger, and lo they are puttyng the braunches to their noses.

18. इसलिये मैं भी जलजलाहट के साथ काम करूंगा, न मैं दया करूंगा और न मैं कोमलता करूंगा; और चाहे वे मेरे कानों में ऊंचे शब्द से पुकारें, तौभी मैं उनकी बात न सुनूंगा।

18. Therfore wyll I also do somethyng in my wrathful displeasure, so that mine eye shall not spare them, neither wyll I haue pitie: yea and though they crye in mine eares with a loude voyce, yet wyll I not heare them.
