2. संकट के दिन मैं प्रभु की खोज में लगा रहा; रात को मेरा हाथ फैला रहा, और ढीला न हुआ, मुझ में शांति आई ही नहीं।

2. I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and he hears me.

3. मैं परमेश्वर का स्मरण कर करके कहरता हूं; मैं चिन्ता करते करते मूर्छित हो चला हूं। (सेला)

3. On the day of my distress I am seeking [Adonai]; my hands are lifted up; my tears flow all night without ceasing; my heart refuses comfort.

4. तू मुझे झपकी लगने नहीं देता; मैं ऐसा घबराया हूं कि मेरे मुंह से बात नहीं निकलती।।

4. When remembering God, I moan; when I ponder, my spirit fails. ([Selah])

5. मैं प्राचीनकाल के दिनों को, और युग युग के वर्षों को सोचा है।

5. You hold my eyelids [[and keep me from sleeping]]; I am too troubled to speak.

6. मैं रात के समय अपने गीत को स्मरण करता; और मन में ध्यान करता हूं, और मन में भली भांति विचार करता हूं:

6. I think about the days of old, the years of long ago;

7. क्या प्रभु युग युग के लिये छोड़ देगा; और फिर कभी प्रसन्न न होगा?

7. in the night I remember my song, I commune with myself, my spirit inquires:

8. क्या उसकी करूणा सदा के लिये जाती रही? क्या उसका वचन पीढ़ी पीढ़ी के लिये निष्फल हो गया है?

8. Will [Adonai] reject forever? will he never show his favor again?

9. क्या ईश्वर अनुग्रह करना भूल गया? क्या उस ने क्रोध करके अपनी सब दया को रोक रखा है? (सेला)

9. Has his grace permanently disappeared? Is his word to all generations done away?

10. मैने कहा यह तो मेरी दुर्बलता ही है, परन्तु मैं परमप्रधान के दहिने हाथ के वर्षों को विचारता हूं।।

10. Has God forgotten to be compassionate? Has he in anger withheld his mercy?' ([Selah])

11. मैं याह के बड़े कामों की चर्चा करूंगा; निश्चय मैं तेरे प्राचीनकालवाले अद्भुत कामों को स्मरण करूंगा।

11. Then I add, 'That's my weakness- [[supposing]] the Most High's right hand could change.'

12. मैं तेरे सब कामों पर ध्यान करूंगा, और तेरे बड़े कामों को सोचूंगा।

12. So I will remind myself of [Yah]'s doings; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.

13. हे परमेश्वर तेरी गति पवित्राता की है। कौन सा देवता परमेश्वर के तुल्य बड़ा है?

13. I will meditate on your work and think about what you have done.

14. अद्भुत काम करनेवाला ईश्वर तू ही है, तू ने अपने देश देश के लोगों पर अपनी शक्ति प्रगट की है।

14. God, your way is in holiness. What god is as great as God?

15. तू ने अपने भुजबल से अपनी प्रजा, याकूब और यूसुफ के वंश को छुड़ा लिया है।। (सेला)

15. You are the God who does wonders, you revealed your strength to the peoples.

16. हे परमेश्वर समुद्र ने तुझे देखा, समुद्र तुझे देखकर ड़र गया, गहिरा सागर भी कांप उठा।

16. With your arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Ya'akov and Yosef. ([Selah])

17. मेघों से बड़ी वर्षा हुई; आकाश से शब्द हुआ; फिर तेरे तीर इधर उधर चले।

17. The water saw you, God; the water saw you and writhed in anguish, agitated to its depths.

18. बवणडर में तेरे गरजने का शब्द सुन पड़ा था; जगत बिजली से प्रकाशित हुआ; पृथ्वी कांपी और हिल गई।

18. The clouds poured water, the skies thundered, and your arrows flashed here and there.

19. तेरे मार्ग समुद्र में है, और तेरा रास्ता गहिरे जल में हुआ; और तेरे पांवों के चिन्ह मालम नहीं होते।

19. The sound of your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightning flashes lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook.

20. तू ने मूसा और हारून के द्धारा, अपनी प्रजा की अगुवाई भेड़ों की सी की।।

20. Your way went through the sea, your path through the turbulent waters; but your footsteps could not be traced.
