1. मैं परमेश्वर की दोहाई चिल्ला चिल्लाकर दूंगा, मैं परमेश्वर की दोहाई दूंगा, और वह मेरी ओर कान लगाएगा।

1. My voice goes up to God, and I will cry out. My voice goes up to God and He will hear me.

2. संकट के दिन मैं प्रभु की खोज में लगा रहा; रात को मेरा हाथ फैला रहा, और ढीला न हुआ, मुझ में शांति आई ही नहीं।

2. I looked to the Lord when I was in trouble. I put out my hand at night, and it did not get tired. My soul would not be comforted.

3. मैं परमेश्वर का स्मरण कर करके कहरता हूं; मैं चिन्ता करते करते मूर्छित हो चला हूं। (सेला)

3. When I remember God, then I am troubled. When I am in deep thought, then my spirit becomes weak.

4. तू मुझे झपकी लगने नहीं देता; मैं ऐसा घबराया हूं कि मेरे मुंह से बात नहीं निकलती।।

4. You keep my eyes from closing. I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

5. मैं प्राचीनकाल के दिनों को, और युग युग के वर्षों को सोचा है।

5. I have thought about the days of old, the years of long ago.

6. मैं रात के समय अपने गीत को स्मरण करता; और मन में ध्यान करता हूं, और मन में भली भांति विचार करता हूं:

6. I remember my song in the night. I think with my heart. And my spirit asks questions.

7. क्या प्रभु युग युग के लिये छोड़ देगा; और फिर कभी प्रसन्न न होगा?

7. Will the Lord turn away forever? Will He never show favor again?

8. क्या उसकी करूणा सदा के लिये जाती रही? क्या उसका वचन पीढ़ी पीढ़ी के लिये निष्फल हो गया है?

8. Has His loving-kindness stopped forever? Has His promise come to an end for all time?

9. क्या ईश्वर अनुग्रह करना भूल गया? क्या उस ने क्रोध करके अपनी सब दया को रोक रखा है? (सेला)

9. Has God forgotten to be loving and kind? Has He in anger taken away His loving-pity?

10. मैने कहा यह तो मेरी दुर्बलता ही है, परन्तु मैं परमप्रधान के दहिने हाथ के वर्षों को विचारता हूं।।

10. Then I said, 'It is my sorrow that the right hand of the Most High has changed.'

11. मैं याह के बड़े कामों की चर्चा करूंगा; निश्चय मैं तेरे प्राचीनकालवाले अद्भुत कामों को स्मरण करूंगा।

11. I will remember the things the Lord has done. Yes, I will remember the powerful works of long ago.

12. मैं तेरे सब कामों पर ध्यान करूंगा, और तेरे बड़े कामों को सोचूंगा।

12. I will think of all Your work, and keep in mind all the great things You have done.

13. हे परमेश्वर तेरी गति पवित्राता की है। कौन सा देवता परमेश्वर के तुल्य बड़ा है?

13. O God, Your way is holy. What god is great like our God?

14. अद्भुत काम करनेवाला ईश्वर तू ही है, तू ने अपने देश देश के लोगों पर अपनी शक्ति प्रगट की है।

14. You are the God Who does great works. You have shown Your power among the people.

15. तू ने अपने भुजबल से अपनी प्रजा, याकूब और यूसुफ के वंश को छुड़ा लिया है।। (सेला)

15. You have set free Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph, with Your strong arm.

16. हे परमेश्वर समुद्र ने तुझे देखा, समुद्र तुझे देखकर ड़र गया, गहिरा सागर भी कांप उठा।

16. The waters saw You, O God. The waters saw You and shook. The sea shook also.

17. मेघों से बड़ी वर्षा हुई; आकाश से शब्द हुआ; फिर तेरे तीर इधर उधर चले।

17. The clouds poured down water. The sky sounded with thunder. Your arrows of lightning went this way and that.

18. बवणडर में तेरे गरजने का शब्द सुन पड़ा था; जगत बिजली से प्रकाशित हुआ; पृथ्वी कांपी और हिल गई।

18. The sound of Your thunder was in the turning wind. The lightning lit up the world. The earth shook.

19. तेरे मार्ग समुद्र में है, और तेरा रास्ता गहिरे जल में हुआ; और तेरे पांवों के चिन्ह मालम नहीं होते।

19. Your way was through the sea. Your paths went through the powerful waters. And it cannot be known where You stepped.

20. तू ने मूसा और हारून के द्धारा, अपनी प्रजा की अगुवाई भेड़ों की सी की।।

20. You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
