1. इस्राएल अब यह कहे, कि मेरे बचपन से लोग मुझे बार बार क्लेश देते आए हैं,

3. हलवाहों ने मेरी पीठ के ऊपर हल चलाया, और लम्बी लम्बी रेखाएं कीं।

4. यहोवा धर्मी है; उस ने दुष्टों के फन्दों को काट डाला है।

5. जितने सिरयोन से बैर रखते हैं, उन सभों की आशा टूटे, ओर उनको पीछे हटना पड़े!

5. May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame.

6. वे छत पर की घास के समान हों, जो बढ़ने से पहिले सूख जाती है;

6. May they be like grass on the roof, which withers before it can grow;

7. जिस से कोई लवैया अपनी मुट्ठी नहीं भरता, न पूलियों का कोई बान्धनेवाला अपनी अंकवार भर पाता है,

7. reapers cannot fill their hands with it, nor those who gather fill their arms.

8. और न आने जानेवाले यह कहते हैं, कि यहोवा की आशीष तुम पर होवे! हम तुम को यहोवा के नाम से आशीर्वाद देते हैं!

8. May those who pass by not say to them, 'The blessing of the LORD be on you; we bless you in the name of the LORD.'
