1. इस्राएल अब यह कहे, कि मेरे बचपन से लोग मुझे बार बार क्लेश देते आए हैं,

1. Israel, tell us how your enemies have persecuted you ever since you were young.

2. मेरे बचपन से वे मुझ को बार बार क्लेश देते तो आए हैं, परन्तु मुझ पर प्रबल नहीं हुए।

2. 'Ever since I was young, my enemies have persecuted me cruelly, but they have not overcome me.

3. हलवाहों ने मेरी पीठ के ऊपर हल चलाया, और लम्बी लम्बी रेखाएं कीं।

3. They cut deep wounds in my back and made it like a plowed field.

4. यहोवा धर्मी है; उस ने दुष्टों के फन्दों को काट डाला है।

4. But the LORD, the righteous one, has freed me from slavery.'

5. जितने सिरयोन से बैर रखते हैं, उन सभों की आशा टूटे, ओर उनको पीछे हटना पड़े!

5. May everyone who hates Zion be defeated and driven back.

6. वे छत पर की घास के समान हों, जो बढ़ने से पहिले सूख जाती है;

6. May they all be like grass growing on the housetops, which dries up before it can grow;

7. जिस से कोई लवैया अपनी मुट्ठी नहीं भरता, न पूलियों का कोई बान्धनेवाला अपनी अंकवार भर पाता है,

7. no one gathers it up or carries it away in bundles.

8. और न आने जानेवाले यह कहते हैं, कि यहोवा की आशीष तुम पर होवे! हम तुम को यहोवा के नाम से आशीर्वाद देते हैं!

8. No one who passes by will say, 'May the LORD bless you! We bless you in the name of the LORD.'
