1. फिर दाऊद और सेनापतियों ने आसाप, हेमान और यदूतून के कितने पुत्रों को सेवकाई के लिये अलग किया कि वे वीणा, सारंगी और झांझ बजा बजाकर नबूवत करें। और इस सेवकाई के काम करनेवाले मनुष्यों की गिनती यह थी :

1. And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals, and the number of the workmen is according to their service.

2. अर्थात् आसाप के पुत्रों में से तो जक्कूर, योसेप, नतन्याह और अशरेला, आसाप के ये पुत्रा आसाप ही की आज्ञा में थे, जो राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार नबूवत करता था।

2. Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, [are] by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.

3. फिर यदूतून के पुत्रों में से गदल्याह, सरीयशायाह, हसब्याह, मत्तित्याह, ये ही छे अपने पिता यदूतून की आज्ञा में होकर जो यहोवा का धन्यवाद और स्तुति कर करके नबूवत करता था, वीणा बजाते थे।

3. Of Jeduthun: sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, Shisshah, [are] by the side of their father Jeduthun; with a harp he is prophesying, for giving of thanks and of praise to Jehovah.

4. और हेमान के पुत्रों में से, मुक्किरयाह, मत्तन्याह, लज्जीएल, शबूएल, यरीमोत, हनन्याह, हनानी, एलीआता, गि लती, रोममतीएजेर, योशबकाशा, मल्लोती, होतीर और महजीओत।

4. Of Heman: sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

5. परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञानुकूल जो उसका नाम बढ़ाने की थी, ये सब हेमान के पुत्रा थे जो राजा का दश था; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हेमान को चौदह बेटे और तीन बेटियां दीं थीं।

5. all these [are] sons of Heman -- seer of the king in the things of God -- to lift up a horn; and God giveth to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6. ये सब यहोवा के भवन में गाने के लिये अपने अपने पिता के अधीन रहकर, परमेश्वर के भवन, की सेवकाई में झांझ, सारंगी और वीणा बजाते थे। और आसाप, यदूतून और हेमान राजा के अधीन रहते थे।

6. All these [are] by the side of their father in the song of the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king [are] Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

7. इन सभों की गिनती भाइयों समेत जो यहोवा के गीत सीखे हुए और सब प्रकार से निपुण थे, दो सौ अठासी थी।

7. And their number, with their brethren -- taught in the song of Jehovah, all who are intelligent -- is two hundred, eighty and eight.

8. और उन्हों ने क्या बड़ा, क्या छोटा, क्या गुरू, क्या चेला, अपनी अपनी बारी के लिये चिट्ठी डाली।

8. And they cause to fall lots -- charge over-against [charge], as well the small as the great, the intelligent with the learner.

9. और पहिली चिट्ठी आसाप के बेटों में से योसेप के नाम पर निकली, दूसरी गदल्याह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

9. And the first lot goeth out for Asaph to Joseph; [to] Gedaliah the second; he, and his brethren and his sons, twelve;

10. तीसरी जक्कूर के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

10. the third [to] Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

11. चौथी यिस्री के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

11. the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

12. पांचवीं नतन्याह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

12. the fifth [to] Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

13. छठीं बुक्किरयाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

13. the sixth [to] Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

14. सातवीं यसरेला के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

14. the seventh [to] Jesharelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

15. आठवीं यशायाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

15. the eighth [to] Jeshaiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

16. नौवीं मतन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई समेत बारह थे।

16. the ninth [to] Mattaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

17. दसवीं शिमी के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

17. the tenth [to] Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

18. ग्यारहवीं अजरेल के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

18. eleventh [to] Azareel, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

19. बारहवीं हशब्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

19. the twelfth [to] Hashabiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

20.

20. at the thirteenth [to] Shubael, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

21. तेरहवी शूबाएल के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

21. at the fourteenth [to] Mattithiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

22. चौदहवीं मत्तिरयाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

22. at the fifteenth [to] Jeremoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

23. पन्द्रहवीं यरेमोत के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

23. at the sixteenth [to] Hananiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

24. सोलहवीं हनन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

24. at the seventeenth [to] Joshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

25. सत्राहवीं योशबकाशा के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

25. at the eighteenth [to] Hanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

26. अठारहवीं हरानी के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

26. at the nineteenth [to] Mallothi, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

27. उन्नीसवीं मल्लोती के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

27. at the twentieth [to] Eliathah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

28. बीसवीं इलिरयाता के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

28. at the one and twentieth [to] Hothir, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

29. इक्कीसवीं होतीर के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

29. at the two and twentieth [to] Giddalti, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

30. बाईसवीं गि लती के नाम पर तिकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

30. at the three and twentieth [to] Mahazioth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

31. तेईसवीं महजीओत के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

31. at the four and twentieth [to] Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
