1. फिर दाऊद और सेनापतियों ने आसाप, हेमान और यदूतून के कितने पुत्रों को सेवकाई के लिये अलग किया कि वे वीणा, सारंगी और झांझ बजा बजाकर नबूवत करें। और इस सेवकाई के काम करनेवाले मनुष्यों की गिनती यह थी :

1. And David and the commanders of the army separated some to the service of the sons of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, who were prophets with harps, with lyres and with cymbals. And their number, of the workmen according to their service, was,

2. अर्थात् आसाप के पुत्रों में से तो जक्कूर, योसेप, नतन्याह और अशरेला, आसाप के ये पुत्रा आसाप ही की आज्ञा में थे, जो राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार नबूवत करता था।

2. of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph at the hands of Asaph, who prophesied at the hands of the king.

3. फिर यदूतून के पुत्रों में से गदल्याह, सरीयशायाह, हसब्याह, मत्तित्याह, ये ही छे अपने पिता यदूतून की आज्ञा में होकर जो यहोवा का धन्यवाद और स्तुति कर करके नबूवत करता था, वीणा बजाते थे।

3. Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah, and Shimei, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun who prophesied with the lyre to give thanks and to praise Jehovah.

4. और हेमान के पुत्रों में से, मुक्किरयाह, मत्तन्याह, लज्जीएल, शबूएल, यरीमोत, हनन्याह, हनानी, एलीआता, गि लती, रोममतीएजेर, योशबकाशा, मल्लोती, होतीर और महजीओत।

4. Of Heman were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

5. परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञानुकूल जो उसका नाम बढ़ाने की थी, ये सब हेमान के पुत्रा थे जो राजा का दश था; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हेमान को चौदह बेटे और तीन बेटियां दीं थीं।

5. All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the Words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6. ये सब यहोवा के भवन में गाने के लिये अपने अपने पिता के अधीन रहकर, परमेश्वर के भवन, की सेवकाई में झांझ, सारंगी और वीणा बजाते थे। और आसाप, यदूतून और हेमान राजा के अधीन रहते थे।

6. All these were at the hands of their father for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God, at the hands of the king: Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman.

7. इन सभों की गिनती भाइयों समेत जो यहोवा के गीत सीखे हुए और सब प्रकार से निपुण थे, दो सौ अठासी थी।

7. So was their number, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Jehovah, all that were discerning: two hundred, eighty eight.

8. और उन्हों ने क्या बड़ा, क्या छोटा, क्या गुरू, क्या चेला, अपनी अपनी बारी के लिये चिट्ठी डाली।

8. And they made fall lots for duty, as in the rule, as the small, so the great, the one teaching with the pupil.

9. और पहिली चिट्ठी आसाप के बेटों में से योसेप के नाम पर निकली, दूसरी गदल्याह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

9. And the first lot came out for Asaph, to Joseph: Gedaliah, he was the second; and his brothers and sons, twelve men.

10. तीसरी जक्कूर के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

10. The third was Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

11. चौथी यिस्री के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

11. The fourth was to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

12. पांचवीं नतन्याह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

12. The fifth was to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

13. छठीं बुक्किरयाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

13. The sixth was to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

14. सातवीं यसरेला के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

14. The seventh was to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

15. आठवीं यशायाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

15. The eighth was to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

16. नौवीं मतन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई समेत बारह थे।

16. The ninth was to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

17. दसवीं शिमी के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

17. The tenth was to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

18. ग्यारहवीं अजरेल के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

18. The eleventh was Azareel his sons and his brothers, twelve.

19. बारहवीं हशब्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

19. The twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

20. The thirteenth to Shubael his sons and his brothers twelve.

21. तेरहवी शूबाएल के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

21. The fourteenth to Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

22. चौदहवीं मत्तिरयाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

22. The fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

23. पन्द्रहवीं यरेमोत के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

23. The sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

24. सोलहवीं हनन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

24. The seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

25. सत्राहवीं योशबकाशा के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

25. The eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

26. अठारहवीं हरानी के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

26. The nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

27. उन्नीसवीं मल्लोती के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

27. The twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

28. बीसवीं इलिरयाता के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

28. The twenty first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

29. इक्कीसवीं होतीर के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

29. The twenty second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

30. बाईसवीं गि लती के नाम पर तिकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

30. The twenty third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

31. तेईसवीं महजीओत के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्रा और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

31. The twenty fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
