1. जब शहरपनाह बन गई, और मैं ने उसके फाटक खड़े किए, और द्वारपाल, और गवैये, और लेवीय लोग ठहराये गए,

1. Nowe when the wall was builded, and I had set vp the doores, and the porters, and the singers and the Leuites were appointed,

2. तब मैं ने अपने भाई हनानी और राजगढ़ के हाकिम हनन्याह को यरूशलेम का अधिकारी ठहराया, क्योंकि यह सच्चा पुरूष और बहुतेरों से अधिक परमेश्वर का भय माननेवाला था।

2. Then I commanded my brother Hanani and Hananiah the prince of the palace in Ierusalem (for he was doubtlesse a faithfull man, and feared God aboue many)

3. और मैं ने उन से कहा, जब तक घाम कड़ा न हो, तब तक यरूशलेम के फाटक न खोले जाएं और जब पहरूए पहरा देते रहें, तब ही फाटक बन्द किए जाएं और बेड़े लगाए जाएं। फिर यरूशलेम के निवासियों में से तू रखवाले ठहरा जो अपना अपना पहरा अपने अपने घर के साम्हने दिया करें।

3. And I saide vnto them, Let not the gates of Ierusalem be opened, vntill the heate of the sunne: and while they stande by, let them shut the doores, and make them fast: and I appointed wardes of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, euery one in his warde, and euery one ouer against his house.

4. नगर तो लम्बा चौड़ा था, परन्तु उस में लोग थोड़े थे, और घर नहीं बने थे।

4. Nowe the citie was large and great, but the people were few therein, and the houses were not buylded.

5. तब मेरे परमेश्वर ने मेरे मन में यह उपजाया कि रईसों, हाकिमों और प्रजा के लोगों को इसलिये इकट्ठे करूं, कि वे अपनी अपनी वंशावली के अनुसार गिने जाएं। और मुझे पहिले पहिल यरूशलेम को आए हुओं का वंशावलीपत्रा मिला, और उस में मैं ने यों लिख हुआ पायो

5. And my God put into mine heart, and I gathered the princes, and the rulers, and the people, to count their genealogies: and I found a booke of the genealogie of them, which came vp at the first, and found written therein,

6. जिनको बाबेल का राजा, नबूकदनेस्सर बन्धुआ करके ले गया था, उन में से प्रान्त के जो लोग बन्धुआई से छूटकर, यरूशलेम और यहूदा के अपने अपने नगर को आए।

6. These are the sonnes of the prouince that came vp from the captiuitie that was caried away (whome Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel had caryed away) and they returned to Ierusalem and to Iudah, euery one vnto his citie.

7. वे जरूब्बाबेल, येशू, नहेमायाह, अजर्याह, राम्याह, नहमानी, मोर्दकै, बिलशान, मिस्पेरेत, विग्वै, नहूम और बाना के संग आए।

7. They which came with Zerubbabel, Ieshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Biguai, Nehum, Baanah. This is the nomber of the men of the people of Israel.

8. इस्राएली प्रजा के लोगों की गिनती यह है : अर्थात् परोश की सन्तान दो हजार एक सौ बहत्तर,

8. The sonnes of Parosh, two thousande an hundreth seuentie and two.

9. सपत्याह की सन्तान तीन सौ बहत्तर, आह की सन्तान छे सौ बावन।

9. The sonnes of Shephatiah, three hundreth seuentie and two.

10. पहत्मोआब की सन्तान याने येशू और योआब की सन्तान,

10. The sonnes of Arah, sixe hundreth fiftie and two.

11. दो हजार आठ सौ अठारह।

11. The sonnes of Pahath Moab of ye sonnes of Ieshua, and Ioab, two thousand, eight hundreth and eighteene.

12. एलाम की सन्तान बारह सौ चौवन,

12. The sonnes of Elam, a thousand, two hundreth fiftie and foure.

13. जत्तू की सन्तान आठ सौ पैंतालीस।

13. The sonnes of Zattu, eight hundreth and fiue and fourtie.

14. जवकै की सन्तान सात सौ साठ।

14. The sonnes of Zacchai, seuen hundreth and three score.

15. बिन्नूई की सन्तान छेसौ अड़तालीस।

15. The sonnes of Binnui, sixe hundreth and eight and fourtie.

16. बेबै की सन्तान छेसौ अट्ठाईस।

16. The sonnes of Bebai, sixe hundreth and eight and twentie.

17. अजगाद की सन्तान दो हजार तीन सौ बाईस।

17. The sonnes of Azgad, two thousand, three hundreth and two and twentie.

18. अदोनीकाम की सन्तान छेसौ सड़सठ।

18. The sonnes of Adonikam, sixe hundreth three score and seuen.

19. बिग्बै की सन्तान दो हजार सड़सठ।

19. The sonnes of Biguai, two thousand three score and seuen.

20. आदीन की सन्तान छेसौ पचपन।

20. The sonnes of Adin, sixe hundreth, and fiue and fiftie.

21. हिचकिरयाह की सन्तान आतेर के वंश में से अट्ठानवे।

21. The sonnes of Ater of Hizkiah, ninetie and eight.

22. हाशम की सन्तान तीन सौ अट्ठाईस।

22. The sonnes of Hashum, three hundreth and eight and twentie.

23. बैसै की सन्तान तीन सौ चौबीस।

23. The sonnes of Bezai, three hundreth and foure and twentie.

24. हारीप की सन्तान एक सौ बारह।

24. The sonnes of Hariph, an hundreth and twelue.

25. गिबोन के लोग पचानवे।

25. The sonnes of Gibeon, ninetie and fiue.

26. बेतलेहेम और नतोपा के मनुष्य एक सौ अट्ठासी।

26. The men of Beth-lehem and Netophah, an hundreth foure score and eight.

27. अनातोत के मनुष्य एक सौ अट्ठाईस।

27. The men of Anathoth, an hundreth and eight and twentie.

28. बेेतजमावत के मनुष्य बयालीस।

28. The me of Beth-azmaueth, two and fourty.

29. किर्यत्यारीम, कपीर, और बेरोत के मनुष्य सात सौ तैंतालीस।

29. The men of Kiriath-iearim, Chephirah and Beeroth, seuen hundreth, and three and fourtie.

30. रामा और गेबा के मनुष्य छेसौ इक्कीस।

30. The men of Ramah and Gaba, sixe hundreth and one and twentie.

31. मिकपास के मनुष्य एक सौ बाईस।

31. The men of Michmas, an hundreth and two and twentie.

32. बेतेल और ऐ के मनुष्य एक सौ तेईस।

32. The men of Beth-el and Ai, an hundreth and three and twentie.

33. दूसरे नबो के मनुष्य बावन।

33. The men of the other Nebo, two and fifty.

34. दूसरे एलाम की सन्तान बारह सौ चौवन।

34. The sonnes of the other Elam, a thousand, two hundreth and foure and fiftie.

35. हारीम की सन्तान तीन सौ बीस।

35. The sonnes of Harim, three hundreth and twentie.

36. यरीहो के लोग तीन सौ पैंतालीस।

36. The sonnes of Iericho, three hundreth and fiue and fourtie.

37. लोद हादीद और ओनों के लोग सात सौ इक्कीस।

37. The sonnes of Lod-hadid and Ono, seuen hundreth and one and twentie.

38. सना के लोग तीन हजार नौ सौ तीस।

38. The sonnes of Senaah, three thousand, nine hundreth and thirtie.

39. फिर याजक अर्थात् येशू के घराने में से यदायाह की सन्तान नौ सौ तिहत्तर।

39. The Priestes: the sonnes of Iedaiah of the house of Ieshua, nine hundreth seuentie and three.

40. इम्मेर की सन्तान एक हजार बावन।

40. The sonnes of Immer, a thousand and two and fiftie.

41. पशहूर की सन्तान बारह सौ सैंतालीस।

41. The sonnes of Pashur, a thousande, two hundreth and seuen and fourtie.

42. हारीम की सन्तान एक हजार सत्राह।

42. The sonnes of Harim, a thousande and seuenteene.

43. फिर लेवीय ये थे अर्थात् होदवा के दंश में से कदमीएल की सन्तान येशू की सन्तान चौहत्तर।

43. The Leuites: the sonnes of Ieshua of Kadmiel, and of the sonnes of Hodiuah, seuentie and foure.

44. फिर गवैये ये थे अर्थात् आसाप की सन्तान एक सौ अड़तालीस।

44. The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundreth, and eight and fourtie.

45. फिर द्वारपाल ये थे अर्थात् शल्लूम की सन्तान, आतेर की सन्तान, तल्मोन की सन्तान, अक्कूब की सन्तान, हतीता की सन्तान, और शोबै की सन्तान, जो सब मिलकर एक सौ अड़तीस हुए।

45. The porters: the sonnes of Shallum, the sonnes of Ater, the sonnes of Talmon, the sonnes of Akkub, the sonnes of Hatita, the sonnes of Shobai, an hundreth and eight and thirtie.

46. फिर नतीन अर्थत् सीहा की सन्तान, हसूपा की सन्तान, तब्बाओत की सन्तान,

46. The Nethinims: the sonnes of Ziha, the sonnes of Hashupha, the sonnes of Tabaoth,

47. केरोस की सन्तान, सीआ की सन्तान, पादोन की सन्तान,

47. The sonnes of Keros, the sonnes of Sia, the sonnes of Padon,

48. लबाना की सन्तान, हगावा की सन्तान, शल्मै की सन्तान।

48. The sonnes of Lebana, the sonnes of Hagaba, the sonnes of Shalmai,

49. हानान की सन्तान, गि :ल की सन्तान, गहर की सन्तान,

49. The sonnes of Hanan, the sonnes of Giddel, the sonnes of Gahar,

50. राया की सन्तान, रसीन की सन्तान, नकोदा की सन्तान,

50. The sonnes of Reaiah, the sonnes of Rezin, the sonnes of Nekoda,

51. गज्जाम की सन्तान, उज्जा की सन्तान, पासेह की सन्तान,

51. The sonnes of Gazzam, ye sonnes of Vzza, the sonnes of Paseah,

52. बेसै की सन्तान, मूनीम की सन्तान, नमूशस की सन्तान,

52. The sonnes of Besai, the sonnes of Meunim, the sonnes of Nephishesim,

53. बकबूक की सन्तान, हकूपा की सन्तान, हर्हूर की सन्तान,

53. The sonnes of Bakbuk, the sonnes of Hakupha, the sonnes of Harhur,

54. बसलीत की सन्तान, महीदा की सन्तान, हर्शा की सन्तान,

54. The sonnes of Bazlith, the sonnes of Mehida, the sonnes of Harsha,

55. बक स की सन्तान, सीसरा की सन्तान, तेमेह की सन्तान,

55. The sonnes of Barkos, the sonnes of Sissera, the sonnes of Tamah,

56. नसीह की सन्तान, और हतीपा की सन्तान।

56. The sonnes of Neziah, the sonnes of Hatipha,

57. फिर सुलैमान के दासों की सन्तान, अर्थात् सोतै की सन्तान, सोपेरेत की सन्तान, परीदा की सन्तान,

57. The sonnes of Salomons seruantes, the sonnes of Sotai, the sonnes of Sophereth, ye sonnes of Perida,

58. याला की सन्तान, दक न की सन्तान, गि :ल की सन्तान,

58. The sonnes of Iaala, the sonnes of Darkon, the sonnes of Giddel,

59. शपत्याह की सन्तान, हत्तील की सन्तान, पोकेरेत सवायीम की सन्तान, और आमोन की सन्तान।

59. The sonnes of Shephatiah, the sonnes of Hattil, the sonnes of Pochereth of Zebaim, the sonnes of Amon.

60. नतीन और सुलैमान के दासों की सन्तान मिलकर तीन सौ बानवे थे।

60. All the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruantes were three hundreth, ninetie and two.

61. और ये वे हैं, जो तेलमेलह, तेलहर्शा, करूब, अद्दॊन, और इम्मेर से यरूशलेम को गए, परन्तु अपने अपने पितरों के घराने और वंशावली न बता सके, कि इस्राएल के हैं, वा नहीं :

61. And these came vp from Tel-melah, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shewe their fathers house, nor their seede, or if they were of Israel.

62. अर्थात् दलायाह की सन्तान, तोबिरयाह की सन्तान, और दकोदा की सन्तान, जो सब मिलकर छे सौ बयालीस थे।

62. The sonnes of Delaiah: the sonnes of Tobiah, the sonnes of Nekoda, six hundreth and two and fourtie.

63. और याजकों में से होबायाह की सन्तान, हक्कोस की सन्तान, और बर्जिल्लै की सन्तान, जिस ने गिलादी बर्जिल्लै की बेटियों में से एक को ब्याह लिया, और उन्हीं का नाम रख लिया था।

63. And of the Priestes: the sonnes of Habaiah, the sonnes of Hakkoz, the sonnes of Barzillai, which tooke one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was named after their name.

64. इन्हों ने अपना अपना वंशावलीपत्रा और और वंशावलीपत्रों में दूंढ़ा, परन्तु न पाया, इसलिये वे अशुठ्ठ ठहरकर याजकपद से निकालेगए।

64. These sought their writing of the genealogies, but it was not founde: therefore they were put from the Priesthood.

65. और अधिपति ने उन से कहा, कि जब तक ऊरीम और तुम्मीम धारण करनेवाला कोई याजक न उठे, तब तक तुम कोई परमपवित्रा वस्तु खाने न पाओगे।

65. And the Tirshatha sayd vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy, till there rose vp a Priest with Vrim and Thummim.

66. पूरी मणडली के लोग मिलकर बयालीस हजार तीन सौ साठ ठहरे।

66. All the Congregation together was two and fourtie thousand, three hundreth and threescore,

67. इनको छोड़ उनके सात हजार तीन सौ सैंतीस दास- दासियां, और दो सौ पैंतालीस गानेवाले और गानेवालियां थीं।

67. Besides their seruantes and their maydes, which were seuen thousand, three hundreth and seuen and thirtie: and they had two hundreth and fiue and fourtie singing men and singing women.

68. उनके घोड़े सात सौ छत्तीस, ख्च्चर दो सौ पैंतालीस,

68. Their horses were seuen hundreth and sixe and thirtie, and their mules two hundreth and fiue and fourtie.

69. ऊंट चार सौ पैंतीस और गदहे छे हजार सात सौ बीस थे।

69. The camels foure hundreth and fiue and thirtie, and sixe thousande, seuen hundreth and twentie asses.

70. और पितरों के घरानों के कई एक मुख्य पुरूषों ने काम के लिये दिया। अधिपति ने तो चन्दे में हजार दर्कमोन सोना, पचास कटोरे और पांच सौ तीस याजकों के अंगरखे दिए।

70. And certaine of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the worke. The Tirshatha gaue to the treasure, a thousand drammes of golde, fiftie basins, fiue hundreth and thirtie Priests garments.

71. और पितरों के घरानों के कई मुख्य मुख्य पुरूषों ने उस काम के चन्दे में बीस हजार दर्कमोन सोना और दो हजार दो सौ माने चान्दी दी।

71. And some of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the treasure of the worke, twentie thousand drams of golde, and two thousande and two hundreth pieces of siluer.

72. और शेष प्रजा ने जो दिया, वह बीस हजार दर्कमोन सोना, दो हजार माने चान्दी और सड़सठ याजकों के अंगरखे हुए।

72. And the rest of the people gaue twentie thousand drammes of golde, and two thousande pieces of siluer, and three score and seuen Priestes garments.

73. इस प्रकार याजक, लेवीय, द्वारपाल, गवैये, प्रजा के कुछ लोग और नतीन और सब इस्राएली अपने अपने नगर में बस गए।

73. And the Priestes, and Leuites, and the porters and the singers and the rest of the people and the Nethinims, and all Israel dwelt in their cities: and when the seuenth moneth came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
