1. मसीह यीशु के दास पौलुस और तीमुथियुस की ओर से सब पवित्रा लोगों के नाम, जो मसीह यीशु में होकर फिलिप्पी मेेें रहते हैं, अध्यक्षों और सेवकों समेत।

1. This letter is from Paul and Timothy. We are servants owned by Jesus Christ. This letter is to all who belong to Christ Jesus who are living in the city of Philippi and to the church leaders and their helpers also.

2. हमारे पिता परमेश्वर और प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से तुम्हें अनुग्रह और शान्ति मिलती रहे।।

2. May you have loving-favor and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. मैं जब जब तुम्हें स्मरण करता हूं, तब तब अपने परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करता हूं।

3. I thank God for you whenever I think of you.

4. और जब कभी तुम सब के लिये बिनती करता हूं, तो सदा आनन्द के साथ बिनती करता हूं।

4. I always have joy as I pray for all of you.

5. इसलिये, कि तुम पहिले दिन से लेकर आज तक सुसमाचार के फैलाने में मेरे सहभागी रहे हो।

5. It is because you have told others the Good News from the first day you heard it until now.

6. और मुझे इस बात का भरोसा है, कि जिस ने तुम में अच्छा काम आरम्भ किया है, वही उसे यीशु मसीह के दिन तक पूरा करेगा।

6. I am sure that God Who began the good work in you will keep on working in you until the day Jesus Christ comes again.

7. उचित है, कि मैं तुम सब के लिये ऐसा ही विचार करूं क्योंकि तुम मेरे मन में आ बसे हो, और मेरी कैद में और सुसमाचार के लिये उत्तर और प्रमाण देने में तुम सब मेरे साथ अनुग्रह में सहभागी हो।

7. It is right for me to feel like this about all of you. It is because you are very dear to me. While I was in prison and when I was proving that the Good News is true, you all shared God's loving-favor with me.

8. इस में परमेश्वर मेरा गवाह है, कि मैं मसीह यीशु की सी प्रीति करके तुम सब की लालसा करता हूं।

8. God knows what I am saying. He knows how much I love you all with a love that comes from Jesus Christ.

9. और मैं यह प्रार्थना करता हूं, कि तुम्हारा प्रेम, ज्ञान और सब प्रकार के विवेक सहित और भी बढ़ता जाए।

9. And this is my prayer: I pray that your love will grow more and more. I pray that you will have better understanding and be wise in all things.

10. यहां तक कि तुम उत्तम से उत्तम बातों को प्रिय जानो, और मसीह के दिन तक सच्चे बने रहो; और ठोकर न खाओ।

10. I pray that you will know what is the very best. I pray that you will be true and without blame until the day Christ comes again.

11. और उस धार्मिकता के फल से जो यीशु मसीह के द्वारा होते हैं, भरपूर होते जाओ जिस से परमेश्वर की महिमा और स्तुति होती रहे।।

11. And I pray that you will be filled with the fruits of right living. These come from Jesus Christ, with honor and thanks to God.

12. हे भाइयों, मैं चाहता हूं, कि तुम यह जान लो, कि मुझ पर जो बीता है, उस से सुसमाचार ही की बढ़ती हुई है।

12. Christian brothers, I want you to know that what has happened to me has helped spread the Good News.

13. यहां तक कि कैसरी राज्य की सारी पलटन और शेष सब लोगों में यह प्रगट हो गया है कि मैं मसीह के लिये कैद हूं।

13. Everyone around here knows why I am in prison. It is because I preached about Jesus Christ. All the soldiers who work for the leader of the country know why I am here.

14. और प्रभु में जो भाई हैं, उन में से बहुधा मेरे कैद होने के कारण, हियाव बान्ध कर, परमेश्वर का वचन निधड़क सुनाने का और भी हियाव करते हैं।

14. Because of this, most of my Christian brothers have had their faith in the Lord made stronger. They have more power to preach the Word of God without fear.

15. कितने तो डाह और झगड़े के कारण मसीह का प्रचार करते हैं और कितने भली मनसा से।

15. Some are preaching because they are jealous and want to make trouble. Others are doing it for the right reason.

16. कई एक तो यह जान कर कि मैं सुसमाचार के लिये उत्तर देने को ठहराया गया हूं प्रेम से प्रचार करते हैं।

16. These do it because of love. They know that I am put here to prove the Good News is true.

17. और कई एक तो सीधाई से नहीं पर विरोध से मसीह की कथा सुनाते हैं, यह समझ कर कि मेरी कैद में मेरे लिये क्लेश उत्पन्न करें।

17. The others preach about Christ for what they get out of it. Their hearts are not right. They want to make me suffer while I am in prison.

18. सो क्या हुआ? केवल यह, कि हर प्रकार से चाहे बहाने से, चाहे सच्चाई से, मसीह की कथा सुनाई जाती है, और मैं इस से आनन्दित हूं, और आनन्दित रहूंगा भी।

18. What difference does it make if they pretend or if they are true? I am happy, yes, and I will keep on being happy that Christ is preached.

19. क्योंकि मैं जानता हूं, कि तुम्हारी बिनती के द्वारा, और यीशु मसीह की आत्मा के दान के द्वारा इस का प्रतिफल मेरा उद्धार होगा।

19. Because of your prayers and the help the Holy Spirit gives me, all of this will turn out for good.

20. मैं तो यही हार्दिक लालसा और आशा रखता हूं, कि मैं किसी बात में लज्जित न होऊं, पर जैसे मेरे प्रबल साहस के कारण मसीह की बड़ाई मेरी देह के द्वारा सदा होती रही है, वैसा ही अब भी हो चाहे मैं जीवित रहूं वा मर जाऊं।

20. I hope very much that I will have no reason to be ashamed. I hope to honor Christ with my body if it be by my life or by my death. I want to honor Him without fear, now and always.

21. क्योंकि मेरे लिये जीवित रहना मसीह है, और मर जाना लाभ है।

21. To me, living means having Christ. To die means that I would have more of Him.

22. पर यदि शरीर में जीवित रहना ही मेरे काम के लिये लाभदायक है तो मैं नहीं जानता, कि किस को चुनूं।

22. If I keep on living here in this body, it means that I can lead more people to Christ. I do not know which is better.

23. क्योंकि मैं दोनों के बीच अधर में लटका हूं; जी तो चाहता है कि कूच करके मसीह के पास जा रहूं, क्योंकि यह बहुत ही अच्छा है।

23. There is a strong pull from both sides. I have a desire to leave this world to be with Christ, which is much better.

24. परन्तु शरीर में रहना तुम्हारे कारण और भी आवश्यक है।

24. But it is more important for you that I stay.

25. और इसलिये कि मुझे इस का भरोसा है सो मैं जानता हूं कि मैं जीवित रहूंगा, बरन तुम सब के साथ रहूंगा जिस से तुम विश्वास में दृढ़ होते जाओ और उस में आनन्दित रहो।

25. I am sure I will live to help you grow and be happy in your faith.

26. और जो घमण्ड तुम मेरे विषय में करते हो, वह मेरे फिर तुम्हारे पास आने से मसीह यीशु में अधिक बढ़ जाए।

26. This will give you reason to give more thanks to Christ Jesus when I come to visit you again.

27. केवल इतना करो कि तुम्हारा चाल- चलन मसीह के सुसमाचार के योग्य हो कि चाहे मैं आकर तुम्हें देखूं, चाहे न भी आऊं, तुम्हारे विषय में यह सुनूं, कि तुम एक ही आत्मा में स्थिर हो, और एक चित्त होकर सुसमाचार के विश्वास के लिये परिश्रम करते रहते हो।

27. Live your lives as the Good News of Christ says you should. If I come to you or not, I want to hear that you are standing true as one. I want to hear that you are working together as one, preaching the Good News.

28. और किसी बात में विरोधियों से भय नहीं खाते? यह उन के लिये विनाश का स्पष्ट चिन्ह है, परन्तु तुम्हारे लिये उद्धार का, और यह परमेश्वर की ओर से है।

28. Do not be afraid of those who hate you. Their hate for you proves they will be destroyed. It proves you have life from God that lasts forever.

29. क्योंकि मसीह के कारण तुम पर यह अनुग्रह हुआ कि न केवल उस पर विश्वास करो पर उसके लिये दुख भी उठाओ।

29. You are not only to put your trust in Him, but you are to suffer for Him also.

30. और तुम्हें वैसा ही परिश्रम करना है, जैसा तुम ने मुझे करते देखा है, और अब भी सुनते हो, कि मैं वैसा ही करता हूं।।

30. You know what the fight is like. Now it is time for you to have a part in it as I have.
