1. क्योंकि हम जानते हैं, कि जब हमारा पृथ्वी पर का डेरा सरीखा घर गिराया जाएगा तो हमें परमेश्वर की ओर से स्वर्ग पर एक ऐसा भवन मिलेगा, जो हाथों से बना हुआ घर नहीं परन्तु चिरस्थाई है।
अय्यूब 4:19

1. We know that our body -- the tent we live in here on earth -- will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a house for us. It will not be a house made by human hands; instead, it will be a home in heaven that will last forever.

2. इस में तो हम कहरते, और बड़ी लालसा रखते हैं; कि अपने स्वर्गीय घर को पहिन लें।

2. But now we groan in this tent. We want God to give us our heavenly home,

3. कि इस के पहिनने से हम नंगे न पाए जाएं।

3. because it will clothe us so we will not be naked.

4. और हम इस डेरे में रहते हुए बोझ से दबे कहरते रहते हैं; क्योंकि हम उतारना नहीं, बरन और पहिनना चाहते हैं, ताकि वह जो मरनहार है जीवन में डूब जाए।

4. While we live in this body, we have burdens, and we groan. We do not want to be naked, but we want to be clothed with our heavenly home. Then this body that dies will be fully covered with life.

5. और जिस ने हमें इसी बात के लिये तैयार किया है वह परमेश्वर है, जिस ने हमें बयाने में आत्मा भी दिया है।

5. This is what God made us for, and he has given us the Spirit to be a guarantee for this new life.

6. सो हम सदा ढाढ़स बान्धे रहते हैं और यह जानते हैं; कि जब तक हम देह में रहते हैं, तब तक प्रभु से अलग हैं।

6. So we always have courage. We know that while we live in this body, we are away from the Lord.

7. क्योंकि हम रूप को देखकर नहीं, पर विश्वास से चलते हैं।

7. We live by what we believe, not by what we can see.

8. इसलिये हम ढाढ़स बान्धे रहते हैं, और देह से अलग होकर प्रभु के साथ रहना और भी उत्तम समझते हैं।

8. So I say that we have courage. We really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord.

9. इस कारण हमारे मन की उमंग यह है, कि चाहे साथ रहें, चाहे अलग रहें पर हम उसे भाते रहें।

9. Our only goal is to please God whether we live here or there,

10. क्योंकि अवश्य है, कि हम सब का हाल मसीह के न्याय आसन के साम्हने खुल जाए, कि हर एक व्यक्ति अपने अपने भले बुरे कामों का बदला जो उस ने देह के द्वारा किए हों पाए।।
भजन संहिता 72:2-4, सभोपदेशक 12:14

10. because we must all stand before Christ to be judged. Each of us will receive what we should get -- good or bad -- for the things we did in the earthly body.

11. सो प्रभु का भय मानकर हम लोगों को समझाते हैं और परमेश्वर पर हमारा हाल प्रगट है; और मेरी आशा यह है, कि तुम्हारे विवेक पर भी प्रगट हुआ होगा।

11. Since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to help people accept the truth about us. God knows what we really are, and I hope that in your hearts you know, too.

12. हम फिर भी अपनी बड़ाई तुम्हारे साम्हने नहीं करते बरन हम अपने विषय में तुम्हें घमण्ड करने का अवसर देते हैं, कि तुम उन्हें उत्तर दे सको, जो मन पर नहीं, बरन दिखवटी बातों पर घमण्ड करते हैं।

12. We are not trying to prove ourselves to you again, but we are telling you about ourselves so you will be proud of us. Then you will have an answer for those who are proud about things that can be seen rather than what is in the heart.

13. यदि हम बेसुध हैं, तो परमेश्वर के लिये; और यदि चैतन्य हैं, तो तुम्हारे लिये हैं।

13. If we are out of our minds, it is for God. If we have our right minds, it is for you.

14. क्योंकि मसीह का प्रेम हमें विवश कर देता है; इसलिये कि हम यह समझते हैं, कि जब एक सब के लिये मरा तो सब मर गए।

14. The love of Christ controls us, because we know that One died for all, so all have died.

15. और वह इस निमित्त सब के लिये मरा, कि जो जीवित हैं, वे आगे को अपने लिये न जीएं परन्तु उसके लिये जो उन के लिये मरा और फिर जी उठा।

15. Christ died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves. He died for them and was raised from the dead so that they would live for him.

16. सो अब से हम किसी को शरीर के अनुसार न समझेंगे, और यदि हम ने मसीह को भी शरीर के अनुसार जाना था, तौभी अब से उस को ऐसा नहीं जानेंगे।

16. From this time on we do not think of anyone as the world does. In the past we thought of Christ as the world thinks, but we no longer think of him in that way.

17. सो यदि कोई मसीह में है तो वह नई सृष्टि है: पुरानी बातें बीत गई हैं; देखो, वे सब नई हो गईं।
यशायाह 43:18-21

17. If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation. The old things have gone; everything is made new!

18. और सब बातें परमेश्वर की ओर से हैं, जिस ने मसीह के द्वारा अपने साथ हमारा मेल मिलाप की सेवा हमें सौंप दी है।

18. All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself, and God gave us the work of telling everyone about the peace we can have with him.

19. अर्थात् परमेश्वर ने मसीह में होकर अपने साथ संसार का मेल मिलाप कर लिया, और उन के अपराधों का दोष उन पर नहीं लगाया और उस ने मेल मिलाप का वचन हमें सौंप दिया है।।

19. God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And he gave us this message of peace.

20. सो हम मसीह के राजदूत हैं; मानो परमेश्वर हमारे द्वारा समझाता है: हम मसीह की ओर से निवेदन करते हैं, कि परमेश्वर के साथ मेल मिलाप कर लो।
यशायाह 52:7

20. So we have been sent to speak for Christ. It is as if God is calling to you through us. We speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God.

21. जो पाप से अज्ञात था, उसी को उस ने हमारे लिये पाप ठहराया, कि हम उस में होकर परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता बन जाएं।।

21. Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.
