1. उन बातों के विषय में जो तुम ने लिखीं, यह अच्छा है, कि पुरूष स्त्री को न छुए।

1. Neverthelesse to avoyde fornicacio let every man have his wyfe: and let every woman have her husbande.

2. परन्तु व्यभिचार के डर से हर एक पुरूष की पत्नी, और हर एक सत्री का पति हो।

2. Let the man geve vnto the wyfe due benevolence. Lykwyse also the wyfe vnto the man.

3. पति अपनी पत्नी का हक्क पूरा करे; और वैसे ही पत्नी भी अपने पति का।

3. The wyfe hath not power over her awne body: but the husbande. And lykewyse the man hath not power over his awne body: but the wyfe

4. पत्नी को अपनी देह पर अधिकार नहीं पर उसके पति का अधिकार है; वैसे ही पति को भी अपनी देह पर अधिकार नहीं, परन्तु पत्नी को।

4. 5. Withdrawe not youre selves one from another excepte it be with consent for a tyme for to geve youre selves to fastynge and prayer. And afterwarde come agayne to the same thynge lest Satan tempt you for youre incontinencye.

5. तुम एक दूसरे से अलग न रहो; परन्तु केवल कुछ समय तक आपस की सम्मति से कि प्रार्थना के लिये अवकाश मिले, और फिर एक साथ रहो, ऐसा न हो, कि तुम्हारे असंयम के कारण शैतान तुम्हें परखे।

5. This I saye of faveour not of comaundement.

6. परन्तु मैं जो यह कहता हूं वह अनुमति है न कि आज्ञा।

6. For I wolde that all men were as I my selfe am: but every man hath his proper gyfte of God one after this maner another after that.

7. मैं यह चाहता हूं, कि जैसा मैं हूं, वैसा ही सब मनुष्य हों; परन्तु हर एक को परमेश्वर की ओर से विशेष विशेष बरदान मिले हैं; किसी को किसी प्रकार का, और किसी को किसी और प्रकार का।।

7. I saye vnto the vnmaried men and widdowes: it is good for them yf they abyde eve as I do.

8. परन्तु मैं अविवाहितों और विधवाओं के विषय में कहता हूं, कि उन के लिये ऐसा ही रहना अच्छा है, जैसा मैं हूं।

8. But and yf they canot abstayne let them mary. For it is better to mary then to burne.

9. परन्तु यदि वे संयम न कर सकें, तो विवाह करें; क्योंकि विवाह करना कामतुर रहने से भला है।

9. Vnto the maryed comaunde not I but the Lorde: that the wyfe separate not her selfe from the man.

10. जिन का ब्याह हो गया है, उन को मैं नहीं, बरन प्रभु आज्ञा देता है, कि पत्नी अपने पति से अलग न हो।

10. Yf she separate her selfe let her remayne vnmaryed or be reconciled vnto her husbande agayne. And let not the husbande put awaye his wyfe from him.

11. (और यदि अलग भी हो जाए, तो बिन दूसरा ब्याह किए रहे; या अपने पति से फिर मेल कर ले) और न पति अपनी पत्नी को छोड़े।

11. To the remnaunt speake I and not the lorde. Yf eny brother have a wyfe that beleveth not yf she be content to dwell with him let him not put her awaye.

12. दूसरें से प्रभु नहीं, परन्तु मैं ही कहता हूं, यदि किसी भाई की पत्नी विश्वास न रखती हो, और उसके साथ रहते से प्रसन्न हो, तो वह उसे न छोड़े।

12. And ye woma which hath to her husbande an infidell yf he consent to dwell with her let her not put him awaye.

13. और जिस स्त्री का पति विश्वास न रखता हो, और उसके साथ रहने से प्रसन्न हो; वह पति को न छोड़े।

13. For ye vnbelevynge husbande is sanctified by the wyfe: and the vnbelevynge wyfe is sanctified by the husbande. Or els were youre chyldren vnclene: but now are they pure.

14. क्योंकि ऐसा पति जो विश्वास न रखता हो, वह पत्नी के कारण पवित्रा ठहरता है, और ऐसी पत्नी जो विश्वास नहीं रखती, पति के कारण पवित्रा ठहरती है; नहीं तो तुम्हारे लड़केबालें अशुद्ध होते, परन्तु अब तो पवित्रा हैं।

14. But and yf the vnbelevynge departe let him departe. A brother or a sister is not in subiection to soche. God hath called vs in peace.

15. परन्तु जो पुरूष विश्वास नहीं रखता, यदि वह अलग हो, तो अलग होने दो, ऐसी दशा में कोई भाई या बहिन बन्धन में नहीं; परन्तु परमेश्वर ने तो हमें मेल मिलाप के लिये बुलाया है।

15. For how knowest thou o woman whether thou shalt save that man or no? Other how knowest thou o man whether thou shalt save that woman or no?

16. क्योंकि हे स्त्री, तू क्या जानती है, कि तुम अपने पति का उद्धार करा ले? और हे पुरूष, तू क्या जानता है कि तू अपनी पत्नी का उद्धार करा ले?

16. but even as God hath distributed to every man. As the lorde hath called every person so let him walke: and so orden I in all congregacios.

17. पर जैसा प्रभु ने हर एक को बांटा है, और परमेश्वर ने हर एक को बुलाया है; वैसा ही वह चले: और मैं सब कलीसियाओं में ऐसा ही ठहराताह हूं।

17. Yf eny man be called beynge circumcised let him adde nothinge therto. Yf eny be called vncircumcised: let him not be circucised.

18. जो खतना किया हुअ बुलाया गया हो, वह खतनारहित न बने: जो खतनारहित बुलाया गया हो, वह खतना न कराए।

18. Circumcision is nothinge vncircumcision is nothinge: but the kepyng of the comaundmentes of god is altogether.

19. न खतना कुछ है, और न खतनारहित परन्तु परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं को मानना ही सब कुछ है।

19. Let every man abyde in the same state wherin he was called.

20. हर एक जन जिस दशा में बुलाया गया हो, उसी में रहे।

20. Arte thou called a servaut? care not for it. Neverthelesse yf thou mayst be fre vse it rather.

21. यदि तू दास की दशा में बुलाया गया हो तो चिन्ता न कर; परन्तु यदि तू स्वतंत्रा हो सके, तो ऐसा ही काम कर।

21. For he that is called in the lorde beynge a servaunt is the lordes freman. Lykwyse he that is called beynge fre is Christes servaut.

22. क्योंकि जो दास की दशा में प्रभु में बुलाया गया है, वह प्रभु का स्वतंत्रा किया हुआ है: और वैसे ही जो स्वतंत्राता की दशा में बुलाया गया है, वह मसीह का दास है।

22. Ye are dearly bought be not mennes seruauntes.

23. तुम दाम देकर मोल लिये गए हो, मनुष्यों के दास न बनो।

23. Brethren let everye man wherin he is called therin abyde with God.

24. हे भाइयो, जो कोई जिस दशा में बुलाया गया हो, वह उसी में परमेश्वर के साथ रहे।।

24. As concernynge virgins I have no comaundment of the lorde: yet geve I counsell as one that hath obtayned mercye of the lorde to be faythfull.

25. कुंवारियों के विषय में प्रभु की कोई आज्ञा मुझे नहीं मिली, परन्तु विश्वासयोग्य होने के लिये जैसी दया प्रभु ने मुझ पर की है, उसी के अनुसार सम्मति देता हूं।

25. I suppose that it is good for the present necessite. For it is good for a ma so to be.

26. सो मेरी समझ में यह अच्छा है, कि आजकल क्लेश के कारण मनुष्य जैसा है, वैसा ही रहे।

26. Arte thou bounde vnto a wyfe? seke not to be lowsed. Arte thou lowsed from a wyfe? seke not a wyfe.

27. यदि तेरे पत्नी है, तो उस से अलग होने का यत्न न कर: और यदि तेरे पत्नी नहीं, तो पत्नी की खोज न कर:

27. But and yf thou take a wyfe thou synnest not. Lykwyse if a virgin mary she synneth not. Neverthelesse soche shall have trouble in their flesshe: but I faver you.

28. परन्तु यदि तू ब्याह भी करे, तो पाप नहीं; और यदि कुंवारी ब्याही जाए तो कोई पाप नहीं; परन्तु ऐसों को शारीरिक दुख होगा, और मैं बचाना चाहता हूं।

28. This saye I brethre the tyme is shorte. It remayneth that they which have wives be as though they had none

29. हे भाइयो, मैं यह कहता हूं, कि समय कम किया गया है, इसलिये चाहिए कि जिन के पत्नी हों, वे ऐसे हों मानो उन के पत्नी नहीं।

29. and they that wepe be as though thy wept not: and they that reioyce be as though they reioysed not: and they that bye be as though they possessed not:

30. और रोनेवाले ऐसे हों, मानो रोते नहीं; और आनन्द करनेवाले ऐसे हों, मानो आनन्द नहीं करते; और मोल लेनेवाले एसे हों, कि मानो उन के पास कुछ है नहीं।

30. and they yt vse this worlde be as though they vsed it not. For the fassion of this worlde goeth awaye.

31. और इस संसार के बरतनेवाले ऐसे हों, कि संसार ही के न हो लें; क्योंकि इस संसार की रीति और व्यवहार बदलते जाते हैं।

31. I wolde have you without care: the single man careth for the thinges of the lorde how he maye please the lorde.

32. सो मैं यह चाहता हूं, कि तुम्हें चिन्ता न हो: अविवाहित पुरूष प्रभु की बातों की चिन्ता में रहता है, कि प्रभु को क्योंकर प्रसन्न रखे।

32. But he that hath maried careth for the thinges of the worlde howe he maye please his wyfe.

33. परन्तु विवाहित मनुष्य संसार की बातों की चिन्ता में रहता है, कि अपनी पत्नी को किस रीति से प्रसन्न रखे।

33. There is differece bitwene a virgin and a wyfe. The single woman careth for the thinges of the lorde that she maye be pure both in body and also in sprete But she that is maryed careth for the thinges of the worlde how she maye please her husband.

34. विवाहिता और अविवाहिता में भी भेद है: अविवाहिता प्रभु की चिन्ता में रहती है, कि वह देह और आत्मा दोनों में पवित्रा हो, परन्तु विवाहिता संसार की चिन्ता में रहती है, कि अपने पति को प्रसन्न रखे।

34. This speake I for youre proffit not to tangle you in a snare: but for that which is honest and comly vnto you and that ye maye quyetly cleave vnto the lorde wt out separacion.

35. यह बात तुम्हारे ही लाभ के लिये कहता हूं, न कि तुम्हें फंसाने के लिये, बरन इसलिये कि जैसा सोहता है, वैसा ही किया जाए; कि तुम एक चित्त होकर प्रभु की सेवा में लगे रहो।

35. If eny man thinke that it is vncomly for his virgin if she passe the tyme of mariage ad if so nede requyre let him do what he listeth he synneth not: let the be coupled in mariage.

36. और यदि कोई यह समझे, कि मैं अपनी उस कुंवारी का हक्क मान रहा हूं, जिस की जवानी ढल चली है, और प्रयोजन भी होए, तो जैसा चाहे, वैसा करे, इस में पाप नहीं, वह उसका ब्याह होने दे।

36. Neverthelesse he yt purposeth surely in his herte havynge none nede: but hath power over his awne will: and hath so decreed in his herte that he will kepe his virgin doth well.

37. परन्तु जो मन में दृढ़ रहता है, और उस को प्रयोजन न हो, बरन अपनी इच्छा पूरी करने में अधिकार रखता हो, और अपने मन में यह बात ठान ली हो, कि मैं अपनी कुंवारी लड़की को बिन ब्याही रखूंगा, वह अच्छा करता है।

37. So then he that ioyneth his virgin in maryage doth well. But he that ioyneth not his virgin in mariage doth better.

38. सो जो अपनी कुंवारी का ब्याह कर देता है, वह अच्छा करता है और जो ब्याह नहीं कर देता, वह और भी अच्छा करता है।

38. The wyfe is bounde to the lawe as longe as her husband liveth If her husbande slepe she is at liberte to mary with whom she wyll only in the lorde.

39. जब तक किसी स्त्री का पति जीवित रहता है, तब तक वह उस से बन्धी हुई है, परन्तु जब उसका पति मर जाए, तो जिस से चाहे विवाह कर सकती है, परन्तु केवल प्रभु में।

39. But she is happiar yf she so abyde in my iudgmet And I thinke verely that I have the sprete of God.

40. परनतु जेसी है यदि वैसी ही रहे, तो मेरे विचार में और भी धन्य है, और मैं समझता हूं, कि परमेश्वर का आत्मा मुझ में भी है।।

40. To speake of thinges dedicate vnto ydols we are sure that we all have knowledge. knowledge maketh a man swell: bnt love edifieth.
