1. सो हे दोष लगानेवाले, तू कोई क्यों न हो; तू निरूत्तर है! क्योंकि जिस बात में तू दूसरे पर दोष लगाता है, उसी बात में अपने आप को भी दोषी ठहराता है, इसलिये कि तू जो दोष लगाता है, आप ही वही काम करता है।

1. Therefore art thou inexcusable O man whosoever thou be that judgest. For in the same wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself. For thou that judgest doest even the same self things.

2. और हम जातने हैं, कि ऐसे ऐसे काम करनेवालों पर परमेश्वर की ओर से ठीक ठीक दण्ड की आज्ञा होती है।

2. But we are sure that the judgement of God is according to truth, against them which commit such things.

3. और हे मनुष्य, तू जो ऐसे ऐसे काम करनेवालों पर दोष लगाता है, और आप वे ही काम करता है; क्या यह समझता है, कि तू परमेश्वर की दण्ड की आज्ञा से बच जाएगा?

3. Thinkest thou (this) O thou man that judgest them which do such things and yet doest even the very same, that thou shalt escape the judgement of God?

4. क्या तू उस की कृपा, और सहनशीलता, और धीरजरूपी धन को तुच्छ जानता है? और कया यह नहीं समझता, कि परमेश्वर की कृपा तुझे मन फिराव को सिखाती है?

4. Other(Either) despisest thou the riches of his goodness and patience, and long sufferance? and rememberest not how that the kindness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5. पर अपनी कठोरता और हठीले मन के अनुसार उसके क्रोध के दिन के लिये, जिस में परमेश्वर का सच्चा न्याय प्रगट होगा, अपने निमित्त क्रोध कमा रहा है।

5. But thou after thine hard heart that cannot repent, heapest thee together the treasure of wrath against the day of vengeance,(wrath) when shall be opened the righteous judgement of God,

6. वह हर एक को उसके कामों के अनुसार बदला देगा।
भजन संहिता 62:12, नीतिवचन 24:12

6. which will reward every man according to his deeds,

7. जो सुकर्म में स्थिर रहकर महिमा, और आदर, और अमरता की खोज में है, उन्हें अनन्त जीवन देगा।

7. that is to say praise, honour, and immortality,(uncorruption) to them which continue(with patience) in good doing, and seek eternal life:

8. पर जो विवादी हैं, और सत्य को नहीं मानते, बरन अधर्म को मानते हैं, उन पर क्रोध और कोप पड़ेगा।

8. But unto them that are rebellious, and disobey the truth, yet(and) follow iniquity,(are contentious and not obedient unto the truth, but obey unrighteousness) shall come indignation, and wrath,

9. और क्लेश और संकट हर एक मनुष्य के प्राण पर जो बुरा करता है, पहिले यहूदी पर फिर यूनानी पर।

9. tribulation(trouble) and anguish upon the soul of every man that doth evil. Of the jew first: And also of the gentile.

10. पर महिमा और आदर ओर कल्याण हर एक को मिलेगा, जो भला करता है, पहिले यहूदी को फिर यूनानी को।

10. To every man that doth good shall come praise, honour and peace, to the jew first, and also to the gentile.

11. क्योंकि परमेश्वर किसी का पक्ष नहीं करता।
व्यवस्थाविवरण 10:17, 2 इतिहास 19:7

11. For there is no partiality with God:(there is no respect of persons before God)

12. इसलिये कि जिन्हों ने बिना व्यवस्था पाए पाप किया, वे बिना व्यवस्था के नाश भी होंगे, और जिन्हों ने व्यवस्था पाकर पाप किया, उन का दण्ड व्यवस्था के अनुसार होगा।

12. But whosoever hath sinned without law, shall perish without law. And as many as have sinned under the law, shall be judged by the law.

13. (क्योंकि परमेश्वर के यहां व्यवस्था के सुननेवाले धर्मी नहीं, पर व्यवस्था पर चलनेवाले धर्मी ठहराए जाएंगे।

13. For before God they are not righteous which hear the law: but they which do(doers of) the law shall be justified.

14. फिर जब अन्यजाति लोग जिन के पास व्यवस्था नहीं, स्वभाव ही से व्यवस्था की बातों पर चलते हैं, तो व्यवस्था उन के पास न होने पर भी वे अपने लिये आप ही व्यवस्था हैं।

14. For if the gentiles which have no law, do of nature the things contained in the law: then they having no law, are a law unto themselves,

15. वे व्यवस्था की बातें अपने हृदयों में लिखी हुई दिखने हैं और उन के विवेक भी गवाही देते हैं, और उन की चिन्ताएं परस्पर दोष लगाती, या उन्हें निर्दोष ठहराती है।)

15. which shew the deed(work) of the law written in their hearts: While their conscience beareth witness unto them, and also their thoughts, accusing one another, or excusing

16. जिस दिन परमेश्वर मेरे सुसमाचार के अनुसार यीशु मसीह के द्वारा मनुष्यों की गुप्त बातों का न्याय करेगा।।

16. at the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, by Jesus Christ according to my Gospell.

17. यदि तू यहूदी कहलाता है, और व्यवस्था पर भरोसा रखता है, और परमेश्वर के विषय में घमण्ड करता है।

17. Behold, thou art called a jew, and trustest in the law and rejoicest in(makest thy boast of) God,

18. और उस की इच्छा जानता और व्यवस्था की शिक्षा पाकर उत्तम उत्तम बातों को प्रिय जानता है।

18. and knowest his will, and hast experience of good and bad, in that thou art informed by the law:

19. और अपने पर भरोसा रखता है, कि मैं अन्धों का अगुवा, और अन्धकार में पड़े हुओं की ज्योति।

19. And believest that thou thyself art a guide unto the blind,(thou provest what is best to do, and presumest to be a leader of the blind) a light to them which are in darkness,

20. और बुद्धिहीनों का सिखानेवाला, और बालकों का उपदेशक हूं, और ज्ञान, और सत्य का नमूना, जो व्यवस्था में है, मुझे मिला है।

20. an informer of them which lack discretion,(the unwise) a teacher of the unlearned,(simple) which hast the ensample of that which ought to be known,(ensample of knowledge) and of the truth in the law.

21. सो क्या तू जो औरों को सिखाता है, अपने आप को नहीं सिखाता? क्या तू चोरी न करने का उपदेश देता है, आप ही चोरी करता है?
भजन संहिता 50:16-21

21. Now teachest thou another: but teachest not thyself.(But thou which teachest another, teachest not thyself.) Thou preachest, a man should not steal: and yet thou stealest.

22. तू जो कहता है, व्यभिचार न करना, क्या आप ही व्यभिचार करता है? तू जो मूरतों से घृणा करता है, क्या आप ही मन्दिरों को लूटता है।

22. Thou sayest, a man should not commit advoutry and thou breakest wedlock.

23. तू जो व्यवस्था के विषय में घमण्ड करता है, क्या व्यवस्था न मानकर, परमेश्वर का अनादर करता है?

23. Thou abhorrest images, and robbest God of his honour. Thou rejoicest in(makest thy boast of) the law, and thorow breaking the law dishonourest God.

24. क्योंकि तुम्हारे कारण अन्यजातियों में परमेश्वर के नाम की निन्दा की जाती है जैसा लिखा भी है।

24. For the name of God is evil spoken of among the gentiles thorow you as it is written.

25. यदि तू व्यवस्था पर चले, तो खतने से लाभ तो है, परन्तु यदि तू व्यवस्था को न माने, तो तेरा खतना बिन खतना की दशा ठहरा।
यिर्मयाह 4:4, यिर्मयाह 9:25

25. Circumcision verily availeth if thou keep the law: But if thou break the law thy circumcision is made(become) uncircumcision.

26. सो यदि खतनारहित मनुष्य व्यवस्था की विधियों को माना करे, तो क्या उस की बिन खतना की दशा खतने के बराबर न गिनी जाएगी?

26. Therefore if the uncircumcised keep the right things contained in the law: shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

27. और जो मनुष्य जाति के कारण बिन खतना रहा यदि वह व्यवस्था को पूरा करे, तो क्या तुझे जो लेख पाने और खतना किए जाने पर भी व्यवस्था को माना नहीं करता है, दोषी न ठहराएगा?

27. And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature (if it keep the law)(and fulfilleth the law) judge thee, which being under the letter and circumcision, dost transgress the law?

28. क्योंकि वह यहूदी नहीं, पर प्रगट में है, और देह में है।

28. For he is not a jew, which is a jew outward. Neither is that thing circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29. पर यहूदी वही है, जो मन में है; और खतना वही है, जो हृदय का और आत्मा में है; न कि लेख का: ऐसे की प्रशंसा मनुष्यों की ओर से नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर की ओर से होती है।।
व्यवस्थाविवरण 30:6

29. But he is a Jew which is hid within, and the circumcision of the heart is the true circumcision, which is in the spirit, and not in the letter: whose praise is not of men but of God.
