1. फिर वह मुझे बाहरी आंगन में उत्तर की ओर ले गया, और मुझे उन दो कोठरियों के पास लाया जो भवन के आंगन के साम्हने और उसकी उत्तर ओर थीं।

1. And he brought me into the inner court eastward, opposite the northern gate. And he brought me in, and behold, five chambers near the vacant space, and near the northern partition,

2. सौ हाथ की दूरी पर उत्तरी द्वार था, और चौड़ाई पचास हाथ की थी।

2. a hundred cubits in length toward the north, and in breadth fifty,

3. भीतरी आंगन के बीस हाथ साम्हने और बाहरी आंगन के फर्श के साम्हने तीनों महलों में छज्जे थे।

3. ornamented accordingly as the gates of the inner court, and arranged accordingly as the peristyles of the outer court, [with three] porches fronting one another.

4. और कोठरियों के साम्हने भीतर की ओर जानेवाला दस हाथ चौड़ा एक मार्ग था; और हाथ भर का एक और मार्ग था; और कोठरियों के द्वार उत्तर ओर थे।

4. And in front of the chambers was a walk ten cubits in breadth, the length [reaching] to a hundred cubits; and their doors were northward.

5. और उपरली कोठरियां छोटी थीं, अर्थात् छज्जों के कारण वे निचली और बिचली कोठरियों से छोटी थीं।

5. And the upper walks were in like manner: for the peristyle projected from it, [even] from the range of columns below, and [there was] a space between; so [were there] a peristyle and a space between, and so [were there] two porches.

6. क्योंकि वे सिमहली थीं, और आंगनों के समान उनके खम्भे न थे; इस कारण उपरली कोठरियां निचली और बिचली कोठरियों से छोटी थीं।

6. For they were triple, and they had not pillars like the pillars of the outer ones; therefore they projected from the lower ones and the middle ones from the ground.

7. और जो भीत कोठरियों के बाहर उनके पास पास थी अर्थात् कोठरियों के साम्हने बाहरी आंगन की ओर थी, उसकी लम्बाई पचास हाथ की थी।

7. And [there was] light outside, corresponding to the chambers of the outer court looking toward the front of the northern chambers; the length [of them was] fifty cubits.

8. क्योंकि बाहरी आंगन की कोठरियां पचास हाथ लम्बी थीं, और मन्दिर के साम्हने की अलंग सौ हाथ की थी।

8. For the length of the chambers looking toward the inner court was fifty cubits, and these are the ones that front the others; the whole was a hundred cubits.

9. और इन कोठरियों के नीचे पूर्व की ओर मार्ग था, जहां लोग बाहरी आंगन से इन में जाते थे।

9. And [there were] doors of these chambers for an outlet toward the east, so that one should go through them out of the outer court,

10. आंगन की भीत की चौड़ाई में पूर्व की ओर अलग स्थान और भवन दोनों के साम्हने कोठरियां थीं।

10. by the opening of the walk at the corner; and the south parts were toward the south, toward the remaining space, and toward the partition, and [so were] the chambers.

11. और उनके साम्हने का मार्ग उत्तरी कोठरियों के मार्ग सा थ; उनकी लम्बाई- चौड़ाई बराबर थी और निकास और ढंग उनके द्वार के से थे।

11. And the walk was in front of them, according to the measures of the chambers toward the north, both according to the length of them, and according to the breadth of them, and according to all their openings, and according to all their turnings, and according to their lights, and according to their doors.

12. और दक्खिनी कोठरियों के द्वारों के अनुसार मार्ग के सिरे पर द्वार था, अर्थात् पूर्व की ओर की भीत के साम्हने, जहां से लोग उन में प्रवेश करते थे।

12. [So were the measures] of the chambers toward the south, and according to the doors at the entrance of the walk, as it were the distance of a reed for light, and eastward as one went in by them.

13. फिर उस ने मुझ से कहा, ये उत्तरी और दक्खिनी कोठरियां जो आंगन के साम्हने हें, वे ही पवित्रा कोठरियां हैं, जिन में यहोवा के समीप जानेवाले याजक परमपवित्रा वस्तुएं खाया करेंगे; वे परमपवित्रा वस्तुएं, और अन्नबलि, और पापबलि, और दोषबलि, वहीं रखेंगे; क्योंकि वह स्थान पवित्रा हे।

13. And he said to me, The chambers toward the north, and the chambers toward the south, in front of the empty spaces, these are the chambers of the sanctuary, in which the priests, the sons of Zadok, who draw near to the Lord, shall eat the most holy things: and there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offerings, and the trespass offerings; because the place is holy.

14. जब जब याजक लोग भीतर जाएंगे, तब तब निकलने के समय वे पवित्रास्थान से बाहरी आंगन में यों ही न निकलेंगे, अर्थात् वे पहिले अपनी सेवा टहल के वस्त्रा पवित्रास्थान में रख देंगे; क्योंकि ये कोठरियां पवित्रा हैं। तब वे और वस्त्रा पहिनकर साधारण लोगों के स्थान में जाएंगे।

14. None shall go in there except the priests, [and] they shall not go forth into the holy place into the outer court, that they that draw near [to Me] may be continually holy, and may not touch their garments in which they minister, [with defilement], for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments whenever they come in contact with the people.

15. जब वह भीतरी भवन को माप चुका, तब मुझे पूर्व दिशा के फाटक के मार्ग से बाहर ले जाकर बाहर का स्थान चारों ओर मापने लगा।

15. So the measurement of the house within was accomplished. And he brought me forth by the way of the gate that looks eastward, and measured the plan of the house round about in order.

16. उस ने पूव अलंग को मापने के बांस से मापकर पांच सौ बांस का पाया।

16. And he stood behind the gate looking eastward, and measured five hundred [cubits] with the measuring reed.

17. तब उस ने उत्तरी अलंग को मापने के बांस से मापकर पांच सौ बांस का पाया।

17. An he turned to the north and measured in front of the north [side] five hundred cubits with the measuring reed.

18. तब उस ने दक्खिनी अलंग को मापने के बांस से मापकर पांच सौ बांस का पाया।

18. And he turned to the west, and measured in front of the west side, five hundred [cubits] with the measuring reed.

19. और पच्छिमी अलंग को मुड़कर उस ने मापने के बांस से मापकर उसे पांच सौ बांस का पाया।

19. And he turned to the south, and measured in front of the south side, five hundred [cubits] by the measuring reed.

20. उस ने उस स्थान की चारों अलंगें मापीं, और उसकी चारों ओर एक भीत थी, वह पांच सौ बांस लम्बी और पांच सौ बांस चौड़ी थी, और इसलिये बनी थी कि पवित्रा और सर्वसाधारण को अलग अलग करे।

20. The [four sides he measured] by the same reed, and he marked out the house and the circumference of the parts round about, [a space] of five hundred [cubits] eastward, and a breadth of five hundred cubits, to make a division between the sanctuary and the outer wall, that [belonged to] the design of the house.
