1. यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. GOD's Message came to me:

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, अम्मोनियों की ओर मुंह करके उनके विषय में भविष्यद्वाणी कर।

2. 'Son of man, face Ammon and preach against the people:

3. उन से कह, हे अम्मोनियो, परमेश्वर यहोवा का वचन सुनो, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है कि तुम ने जो मेरे पवित्रास्थान के विषय जब वह अपवित्रा किया गया, और इस्राएल के देश के विषय जब वह उजड़ गया, और यहूदा के घराने के विषय जब वे बंधुआई में गए, अहा, अहा ! कहा !

3. Listen to the Message of GOD, the Master. This is what GOD has to say: Because you cheered when my Sanctuary was desecrated and the land of Judah was devastated and the people of Israel were taken into exile,

4. I'm giving you over to the people of the east. They'll move in and make themselves at home, eating the food right off your tables and drinking your milk.

5. और मैं रब्बा नगर को ऊंटों के रहने और अम्मोनियों के देश को भेड़- बकरियों के बैठने का स्थान कर दूंगा; तब तुम जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

5. I'll turn your capital, Rabbah, into pasture for camels and all your villages into corrals for flocks. Then you'll realize that I am GOD.

6. क्योंकि परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, तुम ने जो इस्राएल के देश के कारण ताली बजाई और नाचे, और अपने सारे मन के अभिमान से आनन्द किया,

6. 'GOD, the Master, says, Because you clapped and cheered, venting all your malicious contempt against the land of Israel,

7. इस कारण देख, मैं ने अपना हाथ तेरे ऊपर बढ़ाया है; और तुझ को जाति जाति की लूट कर दूंगा, और देश देश के लोगों में से तुझे मिटाऊंगा; और देश देश में से नाश करूंगा। मैं तेरा सत्यानाश कर डालूंगा; तब तू जान लेगा कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

7. I'll step in and hand you out as loot--first come, first served. I'll cross you off the roster of nations. There'll be nothing left of you. And you'll realize that I am GOD.'

8. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, मोआब और सेईर जो कहते हैं, देखो, यहूदा का घराना और सब जातियों के समान हो गया हे।

8. 'GOD, the Master, says: Because Moab said, 'Look, Judah's nothing special,'

9. इस कारण देख, मोआब के देश के किनारे के नगरों को बेत्यशीमोत, बालमोन, और किर्यातैम, जो उस देश के शिरोमणि हैं, मैं उनका मार्ग खोलकर

9. I'll lay wide open the flank of Moab by exposing its lovely frontier villages to attack: Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.

10. उन्हें पूरबियों के वश में ऐसा कर दूंगा कि वे अम्योनियों पर चढ़ाई करें; और मैं अम्मोनियों को यहां तक उनके अधिकार में कर दूंगा कि जाति जाति के बीच उनका स्मरण फिर न रहेगा।

10. I'll lump Moab in with Ammon and give them to the people of the east for the taking. Ammon won't be heard from again.

11. और मैं मोआब को भी दण्ड दूंगा। और वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

11. I'll punish Moab severely. And they'll realize that I am GOD.'

12. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों भी कहता है, एदोम ने जो यहूदा के घराने से पलटा लिया, और उन से बदला लेकर बड़ा दोषी हो गया है,

12. 'GOD, the Master, says: Because Edom reacted against the people of Judah in spiteful revenge and was so criminally vengeful against them,

13. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं एदोम के देश के विरूद्ध अपना हाथ बढ़ाकर उस में से मनुष्य और पशु दोनों को मिटाऊंगा; और तेमान से लेकर ददान तक उसको उजाड़ कर दूंगा; और वे तलवार से मारे जाएंगे।

13. therefore I, GOD, the Master, will oppose Edom and kill the lot of them, people and animals both. I'll waste it--corpses stretched from Teman to Dedan.

14. और मैं अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल के द्वारा एदोम से अपना बदला लूंगा; और वे उस देश में मेरे कोप और जलजलाहट के अनुसार काम करेंगे। तब वे मेरा पलटा लेना जान लेंगे, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

14. I'll use my people Israel to bring my vengeance down on Edom. My wrath will fuel their action. And they'll realize it's my vengeance. Decree of GOD the Master.'

15. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, क्योंकि पलिश्ती लोगों ने पलटा लिया, वरन अपनी युग युग की शत्रुता के कारण अपने मन के अभिमान से बदला लिया कि नाश करें,

15. 'GOD, the Master, says: Because the Philistines were so spitefully vengeful--all those centuries of stored-up malice!--and did their best to destroy Judah,

16. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, देख, मैं पलिश्तियों के विरूद्ध अपना हाथ बढ़ाने पर हूँ, और करेतियों को मिटा डालूंगा; और समुद्रतीर के बचे हुए रहनेवालों को नाश करूंगा।

16. therefore I, GOD, the Master, will oppose the Philistines and cut down the Cretans and anybody else left along the seacoast.

17. और मैं जलजलाहट के साथ मुक़ मा लड़कर, उन से कड़ाई के साथ पलटा लूंगा। और जब मैं उन से बदला ले लूंगा, तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

17. Huge acts of vengeance, massive punishments! When I bring vengeance, they'll realize that I am GOD.'
