1. हे द्वीपों, मेरे साम्हने चुप रहो; देश देश के लोग नया बल प्राप्त करें; वे समीप आकर बोलें; हम आपस में न्याय के लिये एक दूसरे के समीप आएं।।

1. Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

2. किस ने पूर्व दिशा से एक को उभारा है, जिसे वह धर्म के साथ अपने पांव के पास बुलाता है? वह जातियों को उसके वश में कर देता और उसको राजाओं पर अधिकारी ठहराता है; उसकी तलवार वह उन्हें धूल के समान, और उसके धनुष से उड़ाए हुए भूसे के समान कर देता है।

2. Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.

3. He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.

4. Who has worked and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

5. द्वीप देखकर डरते हैं, पृथ्वी के दूर देश कांप उठे और निकट आ गए हैं।

5. The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

6. वे एक दूसरे की सहायता करते हैं और उन में से एक अपने भाई से कहता है, हियाव बान्ध!

6. They helped every one his neighbor; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

7. बढ़ई सोनार को और हथौड़े से बराबर करनेवाला निहाई पर मारनेवाले को यह कहकर हियाव बन्धा रहा है, जोड़ तो अच्छी है, सो वह कील ठोंक ठोंककर उसको ऐसा दृढ़ करता है कि वह स्थिर रहे।।

7. So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smoothes with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the soldering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

8. But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

9. तू जिसे मैं ने पृथ्वी के दूर दूर देशों से लिया और पृथ्वी की छोर से बुलाकर यह कहा, तू मेरा दास है, मैं ने तुझे चुला है और तजा नहीं;

9. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you from the chief men thereof, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.

10. मत डर, क्योंकि मैं तेरे संग हूं, इधर उधर मत ताक, क्योंकि मैं तेरा परमेश्वर हूं; मैं तुझे दृढ़ करूंगा और तेरी सहायता करूंगा, अपने धर्ममय दहिने हाथ से मैं तुझे सम्हाले रहूंगा।।

10. Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

11. देख, जो तुझ से क्रोधित हैं, वे सब लज्जित होंगे; जो तुझ से झगड़ते हैं उनके मुंह काले होंगे और वे नाश होकर मिट जाएंगे।

11. Behold, all they that were incensed against you shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with you shall perish.

12. जो तुझ से लड़ते हैं उन्हें ढूंढने पर भी तू न पएगा; जो तुझ से युद्ध करते हैं वे नाश होकर मिट जाएंगे।

12. You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with you: they that war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nothing.

13. क्योंकि मैं तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा, तेरा दहिना हाथ पकड़कर कहूंगा, मत डर, मैं तेरी सहायता करूंगा।।

13. For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not; I will help you.

14. हे कीड़े सरीखे याकूब, हे इस्राएल के मनुष्यों, मत डरो! यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मैं तेरी सहयता करूंगा; इस्राएल का पवित्रा तेरा छुड़ानेवाला है।

14. Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, said the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

15. देख, मैं ने तुझे छुरीवाले दांवने का एक नया और चोखा यन्त्रा ठहराया है; तू पहाड़ों को दांय दांयकर स्ूक्ष्म धूलि कर देगा, और पहाड़ियों को तू भूसे के समान कर देगा।

15. Behold, I will make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: you shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff.

16. तू उनको फटकेगा, और पवन उन्हें उड़ा ले जाएगी, और आंधी उन्हें तितर- बितर कर देगी। परन्तु तू यहोवा के कारण मगन होगा; और इस्राएल के पवित्रा के कारण बड़ाई मारेगा।।

16. You shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and you shall rejoice in the LORD, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.

17. जब दी और दरिद्र लोग जल ढूंढ़ने पर भी न पायें और उनका तालू प्यास के मारे सूख जाये; मैं यहोवा उनकी बिनती सुनूंगा, मैं इस्राएल का परमेश्वर उनको त्याग न दूंगां

17. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

18. मैं मुण्डे टीलों से भी नदियां और मैदानों के बीच में सोते बहऊंगा; मैं जंगल को ताल और निर्जल देश को सोते ही सोते कर दूंगा।

18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the middle of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

19. मैं जंगल में देवदार, बबूल, मेंहदी, और जलपाई उगाऊंगा; मैं अराबा में सनौवर, तिधार वृक्ष, और सीधा सनौबर इकट्ठे लगाऊंगा;

19. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

20. जिस से लोग देखकर जान लें, और सोचकर पूरी रीति से समझ लें कि यह यहोवा के हाथ का किया हुआ और इस्राएल के पवित्रा का सृजा हुआ है।।

20. That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.

21. यहोवा कहता है, अपना मुक मा लड़ो; याकूब का राजा कहता है, अपने प्रमाण दो।

21. Produce your cause, said the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, said the King of Jacob.

22. वे उन्हें देकर हम को बताएं कि भविष्य में क्या होगा? पूर्वकाल की घटनाएं बताओ कि आदि में क्या क्या हुआ, जिस से हम उन्हें सोचकर जान सकें कि भविष्य में उनका क्या फल होगा; वा होनेवाली घटनाएं हम को सुना दो।

22. Let them bring them forth, and show us what shall happen: let them show the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.

23. भविष्य में जो कुछ घटेगा वह बताओ, तब हम मानेंगे कि तुम ईश्वर हो; भला वा बुरा; कुछ तो करो कि हम देखकर एक चकित को जाएं।

23. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods: yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

24. देखो, तुम कुछ नहीं हो, तुम से कुछ नहीं बनता; जो कोई तुम्हें जानता है वह घृणित है।।

24. Behold, you are of nothing, and your work of nothing: an abomination is he that chooses you.

25. मैं ने एक को उत्तर दिशा से उभारा, वह आ भी गया है; वह पूर्व दिशा से है और मेरा नाम लेता है; जैसा कुम्हार गिली मिट्टी को लताड़ता है, वैसा ही वह हाकिमों को कीच के समान लताड़ देगा।

25. I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call on my name: and he shall come on princes as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

26. किस ने इस बात को पहिले से बताया था, जिस से हम यह जानते? किस ने पूर्वकाल से यह प्रगट किया जिस से हम कहें कि वह सच्चा है? कोई भी बतानेवाला नहीं, कोई भी सुनानेवाला नहीं, तुम्हारी बातों का कोई भी सुनानेवाला नहीं है।

26. Who has declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yes, there is none that shows, yes, there is none that declares, yes, there is none that hears your words.

27. मैं ही ने पहिले सिरयोन से कहा, देख, उन्हें देख, और मैं ने यरूशलेम को एक शुभ समाचार देनेवाला भेजा।

27. The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that brings good tidings.

28. मैं ने देखने पर भी किसी को न पाया; उन में से कोई मन्त्री नहीं जो मेरे पूछने पर कुछ उत्तर दे सके।

28. For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counselor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.

29. सुनो, उन सभों के काम अनर्थ हैं; उनके काम तुच्छ हैं, और उनकी ढली हुई मूत्तियां वायु और मिथ्या हैं।।

29. Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.
