1. हे इस्त्राएल के चरवाहे, तू जो यूसुफ की अगुवाई भेड़ों की सी करता है, कान लगा! तू जो करूबों पर विराजमान है, अपना तेज दिखा!

1. For the Chief Musician, set to Shoshannim Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who sit [above] the cherubim, shine forth.

2. एप्रैम, बिन्यामीन, और मनश्शे के साम्हने अपना पराक्रम दिखाकर, हमारा उठ्ठार करने को आ!

2. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your might, And come to save us.

3. हे परमेश्वर, हम को ज्यों के त्यों कर दे; और अपने मुख का प्रकाश चमका, तब हमारा उठ्ठार हो जाएगा!

3. Turn us again, O God; And cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.

4. हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा, तू कब तक अपनी प्रजा की प्रार्थना पर क्रोधित रहेगा?

4. O Yahweh God of hosts, How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

5. तू ने आंसुओं को उनका आहार कर दिया, और मटके भर भरके उन्हें आंसु पिलाए हैं।

5. You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure.

6. तू हमें हमारे पड़ोसियों के झगड़ने का कारण कर देता है; और हमारे शत्रु मनमाने ठट्ठा करते हैं।।

6. You make us a strife to our neighbors; And our enemies laugh among themselves.

7. हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर, हम को ज्यों के त्यों कर दे; और अपने मुख का प्रकाश हम पर चमका, तब हमारा उठ्ठार हो जाएगा।।

7. Turn us again, O God of hosts; And cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.

8. तू मि से एक दाखलता ले आया; और अन्यजातियों को निकालकर उसे लगा दिया।

8. You brought a vine out of Egypt: You drove out the nations, and planted it.

9. तू ने उसके लिये स्थान तैयार किया है; और उस ने जड़ पकड़ी और फैलकर देश को भर दिया।

9. You prepared [room] before it, And it took deep root, and filled the land.

10. उसकी छाया पहाड़ों पर फैल गई, और उसकी डालियां ईश्वर के देवदारों के समान हुई;

10. The mountains were covered with its shadow, And its boughs were [like] cedars of God.

11. उसकी शाखाएं समुद्र तक बढ़ गई, और उसके अंकुर महानद तक फैल गए।

11. It sent out its branches to the sea, And its shoots to the River.

12. फिर तू ने उसके बाड़ों को क्यों गिरा दिया, कि सब बटोही उसके फलों को तोड़ते है?

12. Why have you broken down its walls, So that all those who pass by the way pluck it?

13. वनसूअर उसको नाश किए डालता है, और मैदान के सब पशु उसे चर जाते हैं।।

13. The boar out of the forest ravages it, And the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

14. हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर, फिर आ! स्वर्ग से ध्यान देकर देख, और इस दाखलता की सुधि ले,

14. Turn again, we urge you, O God of hosts: Look down from heaven, and look, and visit this vine,

15. ये पौधा तू ने अपने दहिने हाथ से लगाया, और जो लता की शाखा तू ने अपने लिये दृढ़ की है।

15. And the stock which your right hand planted, And the son who you made strong for yourself.

16. वह जल गई, वह कट गई है; तेरी घुड़की से वे नाश होते हैं।

16. It is burned with fire, it is cut down: They perish at the rebuke of your countenance.

17. तेरे दहिने हाथ के सम्भाले हुअ पुरूष पर तेरा हाथ रखा रहे, उस आदमी पर, जिसे तू ने अपने लिये दृढ़ किया है।

17. Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, On the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.

18. तब हम लोग तुझ से न मुड़ेंगे: तू हम को जिला, और हम तुझ से प्रार्थना कर सकेंगे।

18. So we will not go back from you: Quicken us, and we will call on your name.

19. हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा, हम को ज्यों का त्यों कर दे! और अपने मुख का प्रकाश हम पर चमका, तब हमारा उठ्ठार हो जाएगा!

19. Turn us again, O Yahweh God of hosts; Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
