1. जब यहोवा सिरयोन से लौअनेवालों को लौटा ले आया, तब हम स्वप्त देखनेवाले से हो गए।

1. A pilgrim song. It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when GOD returned Zion's exiles.

2. तब हम आनन्द से हंसने और जयजयकार करने लगे; तब जाति जाति के बीच में कहा जाता था, कि यहोवा ने, इनके साथ बड़े बड़े काम किए हैं।

2. We laughed, we sang, we couldn't believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations-- 'GOD was wonderful to them!'

3. यहोवा ने हमारे साथ बड़े बड़े काम किए हैं; और इस से हम आनन्दित हैं।।

3. GOD was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.

4. हे यहोवा, दक्खिन देश के नालों की नाईं, हमारे बन्धुओं को लौटा ले आ!

4. And now, GOD, do it again-- bring rains to our drought-stricken lives

5. जो आंसू बहाते हुए बोते हैं, वे जयजयकार करते हुए लवने पाएंगे।

5. So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest,

6. चाहे बोनेवाला बीज लेकर रोता हुआ चला जाए, परन्तु वह फिर पूलियां लिए जयजयकार करता हुआ निश्चय लौट आएगा।।

6. So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
