1. जब इस्राएल ने मि से, अर्थात् याकूब के घराने ने अन्य भाषावालों के बीच में कूच किया,

2. तब यहूदा यहोवा का पवित्रास्थान और इस्राएल उसके राज्य के लोग हो गए।।

3. समुद्र देखकर भागा, यर्दन नदी उलटी बही।

4. पहाड़ मेढ़ों की नाईं उछलने लगे, और पहाड़ियां भेड़- बकरियों के बच्चों की नाईं उछलने लगीं।।

4. The mountains turned playful and skipped like rams, the hills frolicked like spring lambs.

5. हे समुद्र, तुझे क्या हुआ, कि तू भागा? और हे यर्दन तुझे क्या हुआ, कि तू उलठी बही?

5. What's wrong with you, Sea, that you ran away? and you, River Jordan, that you turned and ran off?

6. हे पहाड़ों तुम्हें क्या हुआ, कि तुम भेड़ों की नाईं, और हे पहाड़ियों तुम्हें क्या हुआ, कि तुम भेड़- बकरियों के बच्चों की नाईं उछलीं?

6. And mountains, why did you skip like rams? and you, hills, frolic like spring lambs?
