1. इस्राएलियों के मिस्र देश से निकलने के चार सौ अस्सीवें वर्ष के बाद जो सुलैमान के इस्राएल पर राज्य करने का चौथा वर्ष था, उसके जीव नाम दूसरे महीने में वह यहोवा का भवन बनाने लगा।

1. Solomon began to build the temple of the Lord. It was 480 years after the people of Israel had come out of Egypt. It was in the fourth year of Solomon's rule over Israel. He started in the second month. That was the month of Ziv.

2. और जो भवन राजा सुलैमान ने यहोवा के लिये बनाया उसकी लम्बाई साठ हाथ, चौड़ाई बीस हाथ और ऊंचाई तीस हाथ की थी।

2. The temple King Solomon built for the Lord was 90 feet long. It was 30 feet wide. And it was 45 feet high.

3. और भवन के मन्दिर के साम्हने के ओसारे की लम्बाई बीस हाथ की थी, अर्थात् भवन की चौड़ाई के बराबर थी, और ओसारे की चौड़ाई जो भवन के साम्हने थी, वह दस हाथ की थी।

3. The temple had a porch in front of the main hall. The porch was as wide as the temple itself. It was 30 feet wide. It came out 15 feet from the front of the temple.

4. फिर उस ने भवन में स्थिर झिलमिलीदार खिड़कियां बनाई।

4. Solomon made narrow windows high up in the temple walls.

5. और उस ने भवन के आसपास की भीतों से सटे हुए अर्थात् मन्दिर और दर्शन- स्थान दोनों भीतों के आसपास उस ने मंजिलें और कोठरियां बनाई।

5. He built side rooms around the temple. They were built against the walls of the main hall and the Most Holy Room.

6. सब से नीचेवाली मंजिल की चौड़ाई पांच हाथ, और बीचवाली की छ : हाथ, और ऊपरवाली की सात हाथ की थी, क्योंकि उस ने भवन के आसपास भीत को बाहर की ओर कुस दार बनाया था इसलिये कि कड़ियां भवन की भीतों को पकड़े हुए न हों।

6. On the first floor the side rooms were seven and a half feet wide. On the second floor they were nine feet wide. And on the third floor they were ten and a half feet wide. Solomon made the walls of the temple thinner as they went up floor by floor. The result was ledges along the walls. So the floor beams of the side rooms rested on the ledges. The beams didn't go into the temple walls.

7. और बनते समय भपन ऐसे पत्थरों का बनाया गया, जो वहां ले आने से पहिले गढ़कर ठीक किए गए थे, और भवन के बनते समय हथैड़े वसूली वा और किसी प्रकार के लोहे के औजार का शब्द कभी सुनाई नहीं पड़ा।

7. All of the stones that were used for building the temple were shaped where they were cut. So hammers, chisels and other iron tools couldn't be heard where the temple was being built.

8. बाहर की बीचवाली कोठरियों का द्वार भवन की दाहिनी अलंग में था, और लोग चक्करदार सीढ़ियों पर होकर बीचवाली कोठरियों में जाते, और उन से ऊपरवाली कोठरियों पर जाया करते थे।

8. The entrance to the first floor was on the south side of the temple. A stairway led up to the second floor. From there it went on up to the third floor.

9. उस ने भवन को बनाकर पूरा किया, और उसकी छत देवदारू की कड़ियों और तख्तों से बनी थी।

9. So Solomon built the temple and finished it. He made its roof out of beams and cedar boards.

10. और पूरे भवन से लगी हुई जो मंज़िलें उस ने बनाई वह पांच हाथ ऊंची थीं, और वे देवदारू की कड़िय़ों के द्वारा भवन से मिलाई गई थीं।

10. He built side rooms all along the temple. Each room was seven and a half feet high. They were joined to the temple by cedar beams.

11. तब यहोवा का यह वचन सुलैमान के पास पहुंचा, कि यह भवन जो नू बना रहा है,

11. A message came to Solomon from the Lord. The Lord said,

12. यदि तू मेरी विधियों पर चलेगा, और मेरे नियमों को मानेगा, और मेरी सब आज्ञाओं पर चलता हुआ उनका पालन करता रहेगा, तो जो वचन मैं ने तेरे विषय में तेरे पिता दाऊद को दिया था उसको मैं पूरा करूंगा।

12. 'You are now building this temple. Follow my orders. Keep my rules. Obey all of my commands. Then I will make the promise I gave your father David come true. I will do it through you.

13. और मैं इस्राएलियों के मध्य में निवास करूंगा, और अपनी इस्राएली प्रजा को न तजूंगा।

13. I will live among my people Israel. I will not desert them.'

14. सो सुलैमान ने भवन को बनाकर पूरा किया।

14. So Solomon built the temple and finished it.

15. और उस ने भवन की भीतों पर भीतरवार देवदारू की तख्ताबंदी की; और भवन के फ़र्श से छत तक भीतों में भीतरवार लकड़ी की तख्ताबंदी की, और भवन के फ़र्श को उस ने सनोवर के तख्तों से बनाया।

15. He put cedar boards on its inside walls. He covered them from floor to ceiling. He covered the temple floor with pine boards.

16. और भवन की पिछली अलंग में भी उस ने बीस हाथ की दूरी पर फ़र्श से ले भीतों के ऊपर तक देवदारू की तख्ताबंदी की; इस प्रकार उस ने परमपवित्रा स्थान के लिये भवन की एक भीतरी कोठरी बनाई।

16. He put up a wall 30 feet from the back of the temple. He made it with cedar boards from floor to ceiling. That formed a room inside the temple. It was the Most Holy Room.

17. उसके साम्हने का भवन अर्थात् मन्दिर की लम्बाई चालीस हाथ की थी।

17. The main hall in front of the room was 60 feet long.

18. और भवन की भीतों पर भीतरवार देवदारू की लकड़ी की तख्ताबंदी थी, और उस में इत्द्रायन और खिले हुए फूल खुदे थे, सब देवदारू ही था : पत्भर कुछ नहीं दिखाई पड़ता था।

18. The inside of the temple was covered with cedar wood. Gourds and open flowers were carved on the wood. Everything was cedar. There wasn't any stone showing anywhere.

19. भवन के भीतर उस ते एक दर्शन स्थान यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक रखने के लिये तैयार किया।

19. Solomon prepared the Most Holy Room inside the temple. That's where the ark of the covenant of the Lord would be placed.

20. और उस दर्शन- स्थान की लम्बाई चौड़ाई और ऊंचाई बीस बीस हाथ की थी; और उस ने उस पर चोखा सोना मढ़वाया और वेदी की तख्ताबंदी देवदारू से की।

20. The Most Holy Room was 30 feet long. It was 30 feet wide. And it was 30 feet high. Solomon covered the inside of it with pure gold. He prepared the cedar altar for burning incense. He covered it with gold.

21. फिर सुलैमान ने भवन को भीतर भीतर चोखे सोने से मढ़वाया, और दर्शन- स्थान के साम्हने सोने की सांकलें लगाई; और उसको भी सोने से मढ़वाया।

21. Solomon covered the inside of the main hall with pure gold. He placed gold chains across the front of the Most Holy Room. That room was covered with gold.

22. और उस ने पूरे भवन को सोने से मढ़वाकर उसका पूरा काम निपटा दिया। और दर्शन- स्थान की पूरी वेदी को भी उस ने सोने से मढ़वाया।

22. So Solomon covered the inside of the whole temple with gold. He also covered the altar for burning incense with gold. It was right in front of the Most Holy Room.

23. दर्शन- स्थान में उस ने दस दस हाथ ऊंचे जलपाई की लकड़ी के दो करूब बना रखे।

23. For the Most Holy Room Solomon made a pair of cherubim. He made them out of olive wood. Each cherub was 15 feet high.

24. एक करूब का एक पंख पांच हाथ का था, और उसका दूसरा पंख भी पांच हाथ का था, एक पंख के सिरे से, दूसरे पंख के सिरे तक दस हाथ थे।

24. One wing of the first cherub was seven and a half feet long. The other wing was also seven and a half feet long. So the wings measured 15 feet from tip to tip.

25. और दूसरा करूब भी दस हाथ का था; दोनों करूब एक ही नाप और एक ही आकार के थे।

25. The second cherub's wings also measured 15 feet from tip to tip. The two cherubim had the same size and shape.

26. एक करूब की ऊंचाई दस हाथ की, और दूसरे की भी इतनी ही थी।

26. Each cherub was 15 feet high.

27. और उस ने करूबों को भीतरवाले स्थान में धरवा दिया; और करूबों के पंख ऐसे फैले थे, कि एक करूब का एक पंख, एक भीत से, और दूसरे का दूसरा पंख, दूसरी भीत से लगा हुआ था, फिर उनके दूसरे दो पंख भवन के मध्य में एक दूसरे से लगे हुए थे।

27. Solomon placed the cherubim inside the Most Holy Room in the temple. Their wings were spread out. The wing tip of one cherub touched one wall. The wing tip of the other touched the other wall. The tips of their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.

28. और करूबों को उस ने सोने से मढ़वाया।

28. Solomon covered the cherubim with gold.

29. और उस ने भवन की भीतों में बाहर और भीतर चारों ओर करूब, खजूर और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए।

29. On the walls that were all around the temple he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers. He carved them on the walls of the Most Holy Room and the main hall.

30. और भवन के भीतर और बाहरवाले फर्श उस ने सोने से मढ़वाए।

30. He also covered the floors of those two rooms with gold.

31. और दर्शन- स्थान के द्वार पर उस ने जलपाई की लकड़ी के किवाड़ लगाए और चौखट के सिरहाने और बाजुओं की का पांचवां भाग थी।

31. For the entrance to the Most Holy Room he made two doors out of olive wood. Each doorpost had five sides.

32. दोनों किवाड़ जलपाई की लकड़ी के थे, और उस ने उन में करूब, खजूर के वृक्ष और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए और सोने से मढ़ा और करूबों और खजूरों के ऊपर सोना मढ़वा दिया गया।

32. On the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers. He covered the cherubim and palm trees with hammered gold.

33. असी की रीति उस ने मन्दिर के द्वार के लिये भी जलपाई की लकड़ी के चौखट के बाजू बनाए और वह भवन की चौड़ाई की चौथाई थी।

33. In the same way he made olive wood doorposts for the entrance to the main hall. Each doorpost had four sides.

34. दोनों किवाड़ सनोवर की लकड़ी के थे, जिन में से एक किवाड़ के दो पल्ले थे; और दूसरे किवाड़ के दो पल्ले थे जो पलटकर दुहर जाते थे।

34. He also made two pine doors. Each door had two parts. They turned in bases that were shaped like cups.

35. और उन पर भी उस ने करूब और खजूर के वृक्ष और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए और खुदे हुए काम पर उस ने सोना मढ़वाया।

35. He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on the doors. He covered the doors with gold. He hammered the gold evenly over the carvings.

36. और उस ने भीतरवाले आंगन के घेरे को गढ़े हुए पत्थरों के तीन र :, और एक परत देवदारू की कड़ियां लगा कर बनाया।

36. He used blocks of stone to build a wall around the inside courtyard. The first three layers of the wall were made out of stone. The top layer was made out of beautiful cedar wood.

37. चौथे वर्ष के जीव नाम महीने में यहोवा के भवन की नेव डाली गई।

37. The foundation of the Lord's temple was laid in Solomon's fourth year. It was in the month of Ziv.

38. और ग्यारहवें वर्ष के बूल नाम आठवें महीने में, वह भवन उस सब समेत जो उस में उचित समझा गया बन चुका : इस रीति सुलैमान को उसके बनाने में सात वर्ष लगे।

38. The temple was finished in his 11th year. It was in the month of Bul. That was the eighth month. Everything was finished just as the plans required. Solomon had spent seven years building the temple.
