1. फिर मैं ने मन्दिर में किसी को ऊंचे शब्द से उन सातों स्वर्गदूतों से यह कहते सुना कि जाओ, परमेश्वर के प्रकोप के सातों कटोरों को पृथ्वी पर उंडेल दो।।

1. And I heard a great voice out of the sanctuary saying to the seven messengers, 'Go away, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God to the earth;'

2. सो पहिले ने जाकर अपना कटोरा पृथ्वी पर उंडेल दिया। और उन मनुष्यों के जिन पर पशु की छाप थी, और जो उस की मूरत की पूजा करते थे, एक प्रकार का बुरा और दुखदाई फोड़ा निकला।।

2. and the first did go away, and did pour out his vial upon the land, and there came a sore -- bad and grievous -- to men, those having the mark of the beast, and those bowing to his image.

8. And the fourth messenger did pour out his vial upon the sun, and there was given to him to scorch men with fire,

9. और मनुष्य बड़ी तपन से झुलस गए, और परमेश्वर के नाम की जिसे इन विपत्तियों पर अधिकार है, निन्दा की और उस की महिमा करने के लिये मन न फिराया।।

9. and men were scorched with great heat, and they did speak evil of the name of God, who hath authority over these plagues, and they did not reform -- to give to Him glory.

10. और पांचवें ने अपना कटोरा उस पशु के सिंहासन पर उंडेल दिया और उसके राज्य पर अंधेरा छा गया; और लोग पीड़ा के मारे अपनी अपनी जीभ चबाने लगे।

10. And the fifth messenger did pour out his vial upon the throne of the beast, and his kingdom did become darkened, and they were gnawing their tongues from the pain,

13. और मैं ने उस अजगर के मुंह से, और उस पशु के मुंह से और उस झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ता के मुंह से तीन अशुद्ध आत्माओं को मेंढ़कों के रूप में निकलते देखा।

13. and I saw [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs --

14. ये चिन्ह दिखानेवाली दुष्टात्मा हैं, जो सारे संसार के राजाओं के पास निकलकर इसलिये जाती हैं, कि उन्हें सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर के उस बड़े दिन की लड़ाई के लिये इकट्ठा करें।

14. for they are spirits of demons, doing signs -- which go forth unto the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty; --

15. 'lo, I do come as a thief; happy [is] he who is watching, and keeping his garments, that he may not walk naked, and they may see his unseemliness,' --

20. and every island did flee away, and mountains were not found,

21. और आकाश से मनुष्यों पर मन मन भर के बड़े ओले गिरे, और इसलिये कि यह विपत्ति बहुत ही भारी थी, लोगों ने ओलों की विपत्ति के कारण परमेश्वर की निन्दा की।।

21. and great hail (as of talent weight) doth come down out of the heaven upon men, and men did speak evil of God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague is very great.
