1. भाईचारे की प्रीति बनी रहे।

1. Let brotherly friendship continue;

2. पहुनाई करना न भूलना, क्योंकि इस के द्वारा कितनों ने अनजाने स्वर्गदूतों की पहुनाई की है।

2. but don't forget to be friendly to outsiders; for in so doing, some people, without knowing it, have entertained angels.

3. कैदियों की ऐसी सुधि लो, कि मानो उन के साथ तुम भी कैद हो; और जिन के साथ बुरा बर्ताव किया जाता है, उन की भी यह समझकर सुधि लिया करो, कि हमारी भी देह है।

3. Remember those in prison and being mistreated, as if you were in prison with them and undergoing their torture yourselves.

4. विवाह सब में आदर की बात समझी जाए, और बिछौना निष्कलंक रहे; क्योंकि परमेश्वर व्यभिचारियों, और परस्त्रीगामियों का न्याय करेगा।

4. Marriage is honorable in every respect; and, in particular, sex within marriage is pure. But God will indeed punish fornicators and adulterers.

5. तुम्हारा स्वभाव लोभरहित हो, और जो तुम्हारे पास है, उसी पर संतोष किया करो; क्योंकि उस ने आप ही कहा है, कि मैं तुझे कभी न छोडूंगा, और न कभी तुझे त्यागूंगा।

5. Keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God himself has said, 'I will never fail you or abandon you.'

6. Therefore, we say with confidence, 'ADONAI is my helper; I will not be afraid- what can a human being do to me?'

7. जो तुम्हारे अगुवे थे, और जिन्हों ने तुम्हें परमेश्वर का वचन सुनाया है, उन्हें स्मरण रखो; और ध्यान से उन के चाल- चलन का अन्त देखकर उन के विश्वास का अनुकरण करो।

7. Remember your leaders, those who spoke God's message to you. Reflect on the results of their way of life, and imitate their trust-

8. Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever.

9. नाना प्रकार के और ऊपरी उपदेशों से न भरमाए जाओ, क्योंकि मन का अनुग्रह से दृढ़ रहना भला है, न कि उन खाने की वस्तुओं से जिन से काम रखनेवालों को कुछ लाभ न हुआ।

9. Do not be carried away by various strange teachings; for what is good is for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods. People who have made these the focus of their lives have not benefited thereby.

10. हमारी एक ऐसी वेदी है, जिस पर से खाने का अधिकार उन लोगों को नहीं, जो तम्बू की सेवा करते हैं।

10. We have an altar from which those who serve in the Tent are not permitted to eat.

11. क्योंकि जिन पशुओं का लोहू महायाजक पाप- बलि के लिये पवित्रा स्थान में ले जाता है, उन की देह छावनी के बाहर जलाई जाती है।

11. For the [cohen hagadol] brings the blood of animals into the Holiest Place as a sin offering, but their bodies are burned outside the camp.

12. इसी कारण, यीशु ने भी लोगों को अपने ही लोहू के द्वारा पवित्रा करने के लिये फाटक के बाहर दुख उठाया।

12. So too Yeshua suffered death outside the gate, in order to make the people holy through his own blood.

13. सो आओ उस की निन्दा अपने ऊपर लिए हुए छावनी के बाहर उसके पास निकल चलें।

13. Therefore, let us go out to him who is outside the camp and share his disgrace.

14. क्योंकि यहां हमारा कोई स्थिर रहनेवाला नगर नहीं, बरन हम एक आनेवाले नगर की खोज में हैं।

14. For we have no permanent city here; on the contrary, we seek the one to come.

15. इसलिये हम उसके द्वारा स्तुतिरूपी बलिदान, अर्थात् उन होठों का फल जो उसके नाम का अंगीकार करते हैं, परमेश्वर के लिये सर्वदा चढ़ाया करें।

15. Through him, therefore, let us offer God a sacrifice of praise continually. For this is the natural product of lips that acknowledge his name.

16. पर भलाई करना, और उदारता न भूलो; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ऐसे बलिदानों से प्रसन्न होता है।

16. But don't forget doing good and sharing with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

17. अपने अगुवों की मानो; और उनके अधीन रहो, क्योंकि वे उन की नाई तुम्हारे प्राणों के लिये जागते रहते, जिन्हें लेखा देना पड़ेगा, कि वे यह काम आनन्द से करें, न कि ठंडी सांस ले लेकर, क्योंकि इस दशा में तुम्हें कुछ लाभ नहीं।

17. Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your lives, as people who will have to render an account. So make it a task of joy for them, not one of groaning; for that is of no advantage to you.

18. हमारे लिये प्रार्थना करते रहो, क्योंकि हमें भरोसा है, कि हमारा विवेक शुद्ध है; और हम सब बातों में अच्छी चाल चलना चाहते हैं।

18. Keep praying for us, for we are certain that we have a clear conscience and want to conduct ourselves properly in everything we do.

19. और इस के करने के लिये मैं तुम्हें और भी समझाता हूं, कि मैं शीघ्र तुम्हारे पास फिर आ सकूं।।

19. And all the more I beg you to do this, so that I may be restored to you that much sooner.

20. अब शान्तिदाता परमेश्वर जो हमारे प्रभु यीशु को जो भेड़ों का महान रखवाला है सनातन वाचा के लोहू के गुण से मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर ले आया।

20. The God of [shalom] brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Yeshua, by the blood of an eternal covenant.

21. तुम्हें हर एक भली बात में सिद्ध करे, जिस से तुम उस की इच्छा पूरी करो, और जो कुछ उस को भाता है, उसे यीशु मसीह के द्वारा हम में उत्पन्न करे, जिस की बड़ाई युगानुयुग होती रहे। आमीन।।

21. May that God equip you with every good thing you need to do his will; and may he do in us whatever pleases him, through Yeshua the Messiah. To him be the glory forever and ever. [Amen].

22. हे भाइयों मैं तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि इन उपदेश की बातों को सह लेओ; क्योंकि मैं ने तुम्हें बहुत संक्षेप में लिखा है।

22. Now I urge you, brothers, to bear with my message of exhortation; for I have written you only briefly.

23. तुम यह जान लो कि तीमुथियुस हमारा भाई छूट गया है और यदि वह शीघ्र आ गया, तो मैं उसके साथ तुम से भेंट करूंगा।

23. Know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon enough, I will bring him with me when I come to see you.

24. अपने सब अगुवों और सब पवित्रा लोगों को नमस्कार कहो। इतालियावाले तुम्हें नमस्कार कहते हैं।।

24. Greet all your leaders and all God's people. The people from Italy send greetings to you.
