1. भाईचारे की प्रीति बनी रहे।

1. Let brotherly loue continue.

2. पहुनाई करना न भूलना, क्योंकि इस के द्वारा कितनों ने अनजाने स्वर्गदूतों की पहुनाई की है।

2. Be not forgetfull to intertaine strangers: for thereby some haue receiued Angels into their houses vnwares.

3. कैदियों की ऐसी सुधि लो, कि मानो उन के साथ तुम भी कैद हो; और जिन के साथ बुरा बर्ताव किया जाता है, उन की भी यह समझकर सुधि लिया करो, कि हमारी भी देह है।

3. Remember them that are in bondes, as though ye were bounde with them: and them that are in affliction, as if ye were also afflicted in the body.

4. विवाह सब में आदर की बात समझी जाए, और बिछौना निष्कलंक रहे; क्योंकि परमेश्वर व्यभिचारियों, और परस्त्रीगामियों का न्याय करेगा।

4. Mariage is honorable among all, and the bed vndefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will iudge.

5. तुम्हारा स्वभाव लोभरहित हो, और जो तुम्हारे पास है, उसी पर संतोष किया करो; क्योंकि उस ने आप ही कहा है, कि मैं तुझे कभी न छोडूंगा, और न कभी तुझे त्यागूंगा।

5. Let your conuersation be without couetousnesse, and be content with those things that ye haue, for he hath said,

6. इसलिये हम बेधड़क होकर कहते हैं, कि प्रभु, मेरा सहायक है; मैं न डरूंगा; मनुष्य मेरा क्या कर सकता है।।

6. I will not faile thee, neither forsake thee:

7. जो तुम्हारे अगुवे थे, और जिन्हों ने तुम्हें परमेश्वर का वचन सुनाया है, उन्हें स्मरण रखो; और ध्यान से उन के चाल- चलन का अन्त देखकर उन के विश्वास का अनुकरण करो।

7. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is mine helper, neither will I feare what man can doe vnto me.

8. Remember them which haue the ouersight of you, which haue declared vnto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering what hath bene the ende of their conuersation. Iesus Christ yesterday, and to day, the same also is for euer.

9. नाना प्रकार के और ऊपरी उपदेशों से न भरमाए जाओ, क्योंकि मन का अनुग्रह से दृढ़ रहना भला है, न कि उन खाने की वस्तुओं से जिन से काम रखनेवालों को कुछ लाभ न हुआ।

9. Be not caried about with diuers and strange doctrines: for it is a good thing that the heart be stablished with grace, and not with meates, which haue not profited them that haue bene occupied therein.

10. हमारी एक ऐसी वेदी है, जिस पर से खाने का अधिकार उन लोगों को नहीं, जो तम्बू की सेवा करते हैं।

10. We haue an altar, whereof they haue no authoritie to eate, which serue in the tabernacle.

11. क्योंकि जिन पशुओं का लोहू महायाजक पाप- बलि के लिये पवित्रा स्थान में ले जाता है, उन की देह छावनी के बाहर जलाई जाती है।

11. For the bodies of those beastes whose blood is brought into the Holy place by the high Priest for sinne, are burnt without the campe.

12. इसी कारण, यीशु ने भी लोगों को अपने ही लोहू के द्वारा पवित्रा करने के लिये फाटक के बाहर दुख उठाया।

12. Therefore euen Iesus, that he might sanctifie the people with his owne blood, suffered without the gate.

13. सो आओ उस की निन्दा अपने ऊपर लिए हुए छावनी के बाहर उसके पास निकल चलें।

13. Let vs goe foorth to him therefore out of the campe, bearing his reproch.

14. क्योंकि यहां हमारा कोई स्थिर रहनेवाला नगर नहीं, बरन हम एक आनेवाले नगर की खोज में हैं।

14. For here haue we no continuing citie: but we seeke one to come.

15. इसलिये हम उसके द्वारा स्तुतिरूपी बलिदान, अर्थात् उन होठों का फल जो उसके नाम का अंगीकार करते हैं, परमेश्वर के लिये सर्वदा चढ़ाया करें।

15. Let vs therefore by him offer the sacrifice of prayse alwaies to God, that is, the fruite of the lippes, which confesse his Name.

16. पर भलाई करना, और उदारता न भूलो; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ऐसे बलिदानों से प्रसन्न होता है।

16. To doe good, and to distribute forget not: for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

17. अपने अगुवों की मानो; और उनके अधीन रहो, क्योंकि वे उन की नाई तुम्हारे प्राणों के लिये जागते रहते, जिन्हें लेखा देना पड़ेगा, कि वे यह काम आनन्द से करें, न कि ठंडी सांस ले लेकर, क्योंकि इस दशा में तुम्हें कुछ लाभ नहीं।

17. Obey them that haue the ouersight of you, and submit your selues: for they watche for your soules, as they that must giue accountes, that they may doe it with ioy, and not with griefe: for that is vnprofitable for you.

18. हमारे लिये प्रार्थना करते रहो, क्योंकि हमें भरोसा है, कि हमारा विवेक शुद्ध है; और हम सब बातों में अच्छी चाल चलना चाहते हैं।

18. Pray for vs: for we are assured that we haue a good conscience in all things, desiring to liue honestly.

19. और इस के करने के लिये मैं तुम्हें और भी समझाता हूं, कि मैं शीघ्र तुम्हारे पास फिर आ सकूं।।

19. And I desire you somewhat the more earnestly, that yee so doe, that I may be restored to you more quickly.

20. अब शान्तिदाता परमेश्वर जो हमारे प्रभु यीशु को जो भेड़ों का महान रखवाला है सनातन वाचा के लोहू के गुण से मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर ले आया।
यशायाह 63:11, यिर्मयाह 32:40, यहेजकेल 37:26, जकर्याह 9:11

20. The God of peace that brought againe from the dead our Lord Iesus, the great shepheard of the sheepe, through the blood of the euerlasting Couenant,

21. तुम्हें हर एक भली बात में सिद्ध करे, जिस से तुम उस की इच्छा पूरी करो, और जो कुछ उस को भाता है, उसे यीशु मसीह के द्वारा हम में उत्पन्न करे, जिस की बड़ाई युगानुयुग होती रहे। आमीन।।

21. Make you perfect in all good workes, to doe his will, working in you that which is pleasant in his sight through Iesus Christ, to whom be praise for euer and euer, Amen.

22. हे भाइयों मैं तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि इन उपदेश की बातों को सह लेओ; क्योंकि मैं ने तुम्हें बहुत संक्षेप में लिखा है।

22. I beseeche you also, brethren, suffer the wordes of exhortation: for I haue written vnto you in fewe wordes.

23. तुम यह जान लो कि तीमुथियुस हमारा भाई छूट गया है और यदि वह शीघ्र आ गया, तो मैं उसके साथ तुम से भेंट करूंगा।

23. Knowe that our brother Timotheus is deliuered, with whome (if hee come shortly) I will see you.

24. अपने सब अगुवों और सब पवित्रा लोगों को नमस्कार कहो। इतालियावाले तुम्हें नमस्कार कहते हैं।।

24. Salute all them that haue the ouersight of you, and all the Saintes. They of Italie salute you.

25. तुम सब पर अनुग्रह होता रहे। आमीन।।
