1. इस कारण जब कि गवाहों का ऐसा बड़ा बादल हम को घेरे हुए है, तो आओ, हर एक रोकनेवाली वस्तु, और उलझानेवाले पाप को दूर करके, वह दौड़ जिस मे हमें दौड़ना है, धीरज से दौड़ें।

1. A huge cloud of witnesses is all around us. So let us throw off everything that stands in our way. Let us throw off any sin that holds on to us so tightly. Let us keep on running the race marked out for us.

2. Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the author of faith. He also makes it perfect. He paid no attention to the shame of the cross. He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

5. You have forgotten that word of hope. It speaks to you as children. It says, 'My son, think of the Lord's training as important. Do not lose hope when he corrects you.

7. Put up with hard times. God uses them to train you. He is treating you as children. What children are not trained by their parents?

8. यदि वह ताड़ना जिस के भागी सब होते हैं, तुम्हारी नहीं हुई, तो तुम पुत्रा नहीं, पर व्यभिचार की सन्तान ठहरे!

8. God trains all of his children. But what if he doesn't train you? Then you are like children of people who weren't married to each other. You are not truly God's children.

9. फिर जब कि हमारे शारीरिक पिता भी हमारी ताड़ना किया करते थे, तो क्या आत्माओं के पिता के और भी आधीन न रहें जिस से जीवित रहें।

9. Besides, we have all had human parents who trained us. We respected them for it. How much more should we be trained by the Father of our spirits and live!

10. वे तो अपनी अपनी समझ के अनुसार थोड़े दिनों के लिये ताड़ना करते थे, पर यह तो हमारे लाभ के लिये करता है, कि हम भी उस की पवित्राता के भागी हो जाएं।

10. Our parents trained us for a little while. They did what they thought was best. But God trains us for our good. He wants us to share in his holiness.

11. और वर्तमान में हर प्रकार की ताड़ना आनन्द की नहीं, पर शोक ही की बात दिखाई पड़ती है, तौभी जो उस को सहते सहते पक्के हो गए हैं, पीछे उन्हें चैन के साथ धर्म का प्रतिफल मिलता है।

11. No training seems pleasant at the time. In fact, it seems painful. But later on it produces a harvest of godliness and peace. It does that for those who have been trained by it.

12. इसलिये ढीले हाथों और निर्बल घुटनों को सीधे करो।

12. So lift your sagging arms. Strengthen your weak knees.

13. और अपने पांवों के लिये सीधे मार्ग बनाओ, कि लंगड़ा भटक न जाए, पर भला चंगा हो जाए।।

13. Make level paths for your feet to walk on.'--(Proverbs 4:26) Then those who have trouble walking won't be disabled. Instead, they will be healed.

14. Try your best to live in peace with everyone. Try to be holy. Without holiness no one will see the Lord.

15. Be sure that no one misses God's grace. See to it that a bitter plant doesn't grow up. If it does, it will cause trouble. And it will pollute many people.

17. As you know, after that he wanted to receive his father's blessing. But he was turned away. With tears he tried to get the blessing. But he couldn't get his father to change his mind.

23. You have come to the church of God's people. God's first and only Son is over all things. God's people share in what belongs to his Son. Their names are written in heaven. You have come to God. He is the judge of all people. You have come to the spirits of godly people who have been made perfect.

24. और नई वाचा के मध्यस्थ यीशु, और छिड़काव के उस लोहू के पास आए हो, जो हाबिल के लोहू से उत्तम बातें कहता है।

24. You have come to Jesus. He is the go-between of a new covenant. You have come to the sprinkled blood. It promises better things than the blood of Abel.

25. सावधान रहो, और उस कहनेवाले से मुंह न फेरो, क्योंकि वे लोग जब पृथ्वी पर के चितावनी देनेवाले से मुंह मोड़कर न बच सके, तो हम स्वर्ग पर से चितावनी करनेवाले से मुंह मोड़कर क्योंकर बच सकेंगे?

25. Be sure that you don't say no to the One who speaks. People did not escape when they said no to the One who warned them on earth. And what if we turn away from the One who warns us from heaven? How much less will we escape!

26. उस समय तो उसके शब्द ने पृथ्वी को हिला दिया पर अब उस ने यह प्रतिज्ञा की है, कि एक बार फिर मैं केवल पृथ्वी को नहीं, बरन आकाश को भी हिला दूंगा।

26. At that time his voice shook the earth. But now he has promised, 'Once more I will shake the earth. I will also shake the heavens.'--(Haggai 2:6)

27. और यह वाक्य `एक बार फिर' इस बात को प्रगट करता है, कि जो वस्तुएं हिलाई जाती हैं, वे सृजी हुई वस्तुएं होने के कारण टल जाएंगी; ताकि जो वस्तुएं हिलाई नहीं जातीं, वे अटल बनी रहें।

27. The words 'once more' point out that what can be shaken can be taken away. I'm talking about created things. Then what can't be shaken will remain.

28. We are receiving a kingdom that can't be shaken. So let us be thankful. Then we can worship God in a way that pleases him. We will worship him with deep respect and wonder.
