1. जो देश तुम्हारे पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें अधिकार में लेने को दिया है, उस में जब तक तुम भूमि पर जीवित रहो तब तक इन विधियों और नियमों के मानने में चौकसी करना।

1. These are the ordinaunces and lawes which ye shal kepe, that ye do therafter in the londe, which the LORDE God of thy fathers hath geuen the to possesse, as longe as ye lyue vpon earth.

2. जिन जातियों के तुम अधिकारी होगे उनके लोग ऊंचे ऊंचे पहाड़ों वा टीलों पर, वा किसी भांति के हरे वृक्ष के तले, जितने स्थानों में अपने देवताओं की उपासना करते हैं, उन सभों को तुम पूरी रीति से नष्ट कर डालना;

2. Destroye all the places, wherin ye Heithen (who ye shal conquere) haue serued their goddes, whether it be vpo hye mountaynes, vpo hilles, or amonge grene trees.

3. उनकी वेदियों को ढा देना, उनकी लाठों को तोड़ डालना, उनकी अशेरा नाम मूर्त्तियों को आग में जला देना, और उनके देवताओं की खुदी हुई मूर्त्तियों को काटकर गिरा देना, कि उस देश में से उनके नाम तक मिट जाएं।

3. And ouerthrowe their altares, and breake downe their pilers, and burne their groues with fyre, and hewe downe the ymages of their goddes, & brynge the names of them to naught out of the same place.

4. फिर जैसा वे करते हैं, तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये वैसा न करना।

4. Ye shal not do so vnto the LORDE youre God:

5. किन्तु जो स्थान तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हारे सब गोत्रों में से चुन लेगा, कि वहां अपना नाम बनाए रखे, उसके उसी निवासस्थान के पास जाया करना;

5. but the place which ye LORDE youre God shal chose out of all yor trybes (that he maye let his name dwell there) shal ye seke,

6. और वहीं तुम अपने होमबलि, और मेलबलि, और दंशमांश, और उठाई हुई भेंट, और मन्नत की वस्तुएं, और स्वेच्छाबलि, और गाय- बैलों और भेड़- बकरियों के पहिलौठे ले जाया करना;

6. and come thither, and thither shal ye brynge youre burntsacrifices, & youre other offerynges, and youre tithes and the Heueofferynges of youre handes, and youre vowes, and youre fre wyll offerynges, and the firstborne of youre oxen and shepe:

7. और वहीं तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने भोजन करना, और अपने अपने घराने समेत उन सब कामों पर, जिन में तुम ने हाथ लगाया हो, और जिन पर तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की आशीष मिली हो, आनन्द करना।

7. and there shall ye eate before the LORDE youre God, and reioyse ouer all that ye and youre houses haue geue with youre handes, because the LORDE thy God hath blessed the.

8. जैसे हम आजकल यहां जो काम जिसको भाता है वही करते हैं वैसा तुम न करना;

8. Ye shall do none of the thinges, yt we do here this daye, euery man what semeth him good in his awne eyes.

9. जो विश्रामस्थान तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हारे भाग में देता है वहां तुम अब तक तो नहीं पहुंचे।

9. For ye are not yet come to rest, ner to ye enheritauce which the LORDE thy God shal geue the.

10. परन्तु जब तुम यरदन पार जाकर उस देश में जिसके भागी तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हें करता है बस जाओ, और वह तुम्हारे चारों ओर के सब शत्रुओं से तुम्हें विश्राम दे,

10. But ye shal go ouer Iordane, and dwell in the londe yt the LORDE youre God shall deuyde out vnto you, & he shal geue you rest from all youre enemies rounde aboute, and ye shal dwell safe.

11. और तुम निडर रहने पाओ, तब जो स्थान तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा अपने नाम का निवास ठहराने के लिये चुन ले उसी में तुम अपने होमबलि, और मेलबलि, और दशमांश, और उठाई हुईं भेंटें, और मन्नतों की सब उत्तम उत्तम वस्तुएं जो तुम यहोवा के लिये संकल्प करोगे, निदान जितनी वस्तुओं की आज्ञा मैं तुम को सुनाता हूं उन सभों को वहीं ले जाया करना।

11. Now whan the LORDE thy God hath chosen a place, to make his name dwell there, ye shall brynge thither all yt I haue commaunded you, namely, yor burnt sacrifices, youre other offerynges, youre tythes, the Heueofferynges of youre handes, & all youre fre vowes, which ye shall vowe vnto ye LORDE:

12. और वहां तुम अपने अपने बेटे बेटियों और दास दासियों सहित अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने आनन्द करना, और जो लेवीय तुम्हारे फाटकों में रहे वह भी आनन्द करे, क्योंकि उसका तुम्हारे संग कोई निज भाग वा अंश न होगा।

12. and there shal ye eate, and reioyse before the LORDE youre God, ye and youre sonnes, and youre doughters, and youre seruauntes, and youre maydes, and the Leuites that are within youre gates, for they haue no porcion ner inheritauce with you.

13. और सावधान रहना कि तू अपने होमबलियों को हर एक स्थान पर जो देखने में आए न चढ़ाना;

13. Take hede vnto thy selfe, that thou offer not thy burntofferynges in what so euer place thou seyst:

14. परन्तु जो स्थान तेरे किसी गोत्रा में यहोवा चुन ले वहीं अपने होमबलियों को चढ़ाया करना, और जिस जिस काम की आज्ञा मैं तुझ को सुनाता हूं उसको वहीं करना।

14. but in the place which ye LORDE shall haue chosen in one of thy trybes, there shalt thou offer thy burntofferynges, and do all that I commaunde the.

15. परन्तु तू अपने सब फाटकों के भीतर अपने जी की इच्छा और अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की दी हुई आशीष के अनुसार पशु मारके खा सकेगा, शुद्व और अशुद्व मनुष्य दोनों खा सकेंगे, जैसे कि चिकारे और हरिण का मांस।

15. Notwtstondinge thou mayest kyll and eate flesh within all thy gates, after all the desyre of thy soule, acordynge to the blessynge of the LORDE thy God, which he hath geue the: both the cleane and vncleane maye eate it, as of the Roo and herte,

16. परन्तु उसका लोहू न खाना; उसे जल की नाई भूमि पर उंडेल देना।

16. onely the bloude shalt thou not eate, but poure it out as water vpon the earth.

17. फिर अपने अन्न, वा नये दाखमधु, वा टटके तेल का दशमांश, और अपने गाय- बैलों वा भेड़- बकरियों के पहिलौठे, और अपनी मन्नतों की कोई वस्तु, और अपने स्वेच्छाबलि, और उठाई हुई भेंटें अपने सब फाटकों के भीतर न खाना;

17. But within thy gates mayest thou not eate of the tythes of thy corne, of thy wyne, & of thy oyle, ner of ye first borne of thine oxen and of thy shepe, or of eny of thy vowes which thou hast vowed, or of thy frewylofferinges, or Heueofferinges of thy handes:

18. उन्हें अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने उसी स्थान पर जिसको वह चुने अपने बेटे बेटियों और दास दासियों के, और जो लेवीय तेरे फाटकों के भीतर रहेंगे उनके साथ खाना, और तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने अपने सब कामों पर जिन में हाथ लगाया हो आनन्द करना।

18. but before the LORDE thy God shalt thou eate them, in the place which the LORDE thy God choseth, thou & thy sonne, and thy doughter, thy seruaunt, thy mayde, and the Leuite that is within yi gates, & thou shalt reioyse before ye LORDE thy God, ouer all yt thou puttest thine hande vnto.

19. और सावधान रह कि जब तक तू भूमि पर जीवित रहे तब तक लेवियों को न छोड़ना।।

19. And bewarre, that thou forsake not the Leuite, as longe as thou lyuest vpon the earth.

20. जब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा अपने वचन के अनुसार तेरा देश बढ़ाए, और तेरा जी मांस खाना चाहे, और तू सोचने लगे, कि मैं मांस खाऊंगा, तब जो मांस तेरा जी चाहे वही खा सकेगा।

20. But whan the LORDE thy God shal enlarge thy bordes of thy londe (as he hath promysed the) and thou saye: I wil eate flesh (for so moch as thy soule longeth to eate flesh) then eate flesh acordinge to all the desyre of thy soule.

21. जो स्थान तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा अपना नाम बनाए रखने के लिये चुन ले वह यदि तुझ से बहुत दूर हो, तो जो गाय- बैल भेड़- बकरी यहोवा ने तुझे दी हों, उन में से जो कुछ तेरा जी चाहे, उसे मेरी आज्ञा के अनुसार मारके अपने फाटकों के भीतर खा सकेगा।

21. But yf the place that the LORDE thy God hath chosen (to let his name be there) be farre from the, then kyll of yi oxen and of thy shepe, which the LORDE hath geuen the, as he hath commaunded the, and eate it within thy gates acordinge to all ye desyre of thy soule.

22. जैसे चिकारे और हरिण का मांस खाया जाता है वैसे ही उनको भी खा सकेगा, शुद्व और अशुद्व दोनो प्रकार के मनुष्य उनका मांस खा सकेंगे।

22. Euen as a Roo or Hert is eaten, maiest thou eate it: both the cleane and vncleane maie eate it indifferently.

23. परन्तु उनका लोहू किसी भांति न खाना; क्योंकि लोहू जो है वह प्राण ही है, और तू मांस के साथ प्राण कभी भी न खाना।

23. Onely bewarre, that thou eate not the bloude: for the bloude is the life. Therfore shalt thou not eate the life wt the flesh,

24. उसको न खाना; उसे जल की नाईं भूमि पर उंडेल देना।

24. but shalt poure it out like water vpon the earth,

25. तू उसे न खाना; इसलिये कि वह काम करने से जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक हैं तेरा और तेरे बाद तेरे वंश का भी भला हो।

25. yt thou mayest prospere, and yi children after the, whan thou hast done that which is righte in the sighte of the LORDE.

26. परन्तु जब तू कोई वस्तु पवित्रा करे, वा मन्नत माने, तो ऐसी वस्तुएं लेकर उस स्थान को जाना जिसको यहोवा चुन लेगा,

26. But whan thou halowest oughte that is thine, or makest a vowe, thou shalt take it, and brynge it vnto the place, that the LORDE hath chosen,

27. और वहां अपने होमबलियों के मांस और लोहू दोनों को अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की वेदी पर चढ़ाना, और मेलबलियों का लोहू उसकी वेदी पर उंडेलकर उनका मांस खाना।

27. and do thy burntofferynges with the flesh and bloude vpon the altare of the LORDE thy God. The bloude of thine offrynge shalt thou poure vpon the altare of the LORDE thy God, and eate the flesh.

28. इन बातों को जिनकी आज्ञा मैं तुझे सुनाता हूं चित्त लगाकर सुन, कि जब तू वह काम करे जो तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में भला और ठीक है, तब तेरा और तेरे बाद तेरे वंश का भी सदा भला होता रहे।

28. Take hede, and heare all these wordes, which I commaunde the, yt it maye go well with the, and thy children after ye for euer, whan thou hast done yt which is righte and acceptable in the sighte of the LORDE thy God.

29. जब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन जातियों को जिनका अधिकारी होने को तू जा रहा है तेरे आगे से नष्ट करे, और तू उनका अधिकारी होकर उनके देश में बस जाए,

29. Whan the LORDE yi God hath roted out the Heithen before the, whither thou commest into conquere them, & whan thou hast coquered them, & dwelt in their londe,

30. तब सावधान रहना, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि उनके सत्यनाश होने के बाद तू भी उनकी नाई फंस जाए, अर्थात् यह कहकर उनके देवताओं के सम्बन्ध में यह पूछपाछ न करना, कि उन जातियों के लोग अपने देवताओं की उपासना किस रीति करते थे? मैं भी वैसी ही करूंगा।

30. bewarre then, yt thou fall not in the snare after the, whan they are destroyed before the: & that thou axe not after their goddes, & saye: Eue as these nacions haue serued their goddes, so wil I do also.

31. तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से ऐसा व्यवहार न करना; क्योंकि जितने प्रकार के कामों से यहोवा घृणा करता है और बैर- भाव रखता है, उन सभों को उन्हों ने अपने देवताओं के लिये किया है, यहां तक कि अपने बेटे बेटियों को भी वे अपने देवताओं के लिये अग्नि में डालकर जला देते हैं।।

31. Thou shalt not do so vnto the LORDE thy God. For all that is abhominacion vnto the LORDE, & that he hateth, ye same haue they done vnto their goddes. For they haue burnt euen their sonnes and their doughters with fyre vnto their goddes.

32. जितनी बातों की मैं तुम को आज्ञा देता हूं उनको चौकस होकर माना करना; और न तो कुछ उन में बढ़ाना और न उन में से कुछ घटाना।।
