1. अब तीसरी बार तुम्हारे पास आता हूं: दो या तीन गवाहों के मुंह से हर एक बात ठहराई जाएगी।

1. Now come I the third time unto you: in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word(everything) stand.(every matter be stablished)

2. जैसे जब दूसरी बार तुम्हारे साथ था, सो वैसे ही अब दूर रहते हुए उन लोगों से जिन्हों ने पहिले पाप किया, और और सब लोगों से अब पहिले से कहे देता हूं, कि यदि मैं फिर आऊंगा, तो नहीं छोडूंगा।

2. I told you before, and tell you before, (and) as I said when I was present with you the second time, so write I now being absent to them which in time past have sinned, and to all other: (that) If I come again, I will not spare

3. तुम तो इस का प्रमाण चाहते हो, कि मसीह मुझ में बोलता है, जो तुम्हारे लिये निर्बल नहीं; परन्तु तुम में सामर्थी है।

3. seeing that ye seek experience of Christ which speaketh in me, which among you is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4. वह निर्बलता के कारण क्रूस पर चढ़ाया तो गया, तौभी परमेश्वर की सामर्थ से जीवित है, हम भी तो उस में निर्बल हैं; परन्तु परमेश्वर की सामर्थ से जो तुम्हारे लिये है, उसके साथ जीएंगे।

4. And verily though it came of weakness that he was crucified, yet liveth he thorow the power of God: and we no doubt are weak in him: but we shall live with him, by the might(power) that God gave us to you ward.(by the might of God among you.)

5. अपने प्राण को परखो, कि विश्वास में हो कि नहीं; अपने आप को जांचो, क्या तुम अपने विषय में यह नहीं जानते, कि यीशु मसीह तुम में है? नहीं तो तुम निकम्मे निकले हो।

5. Prove yourselves whether ye are in the faith or not. Examine your own selves: know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you? except ye be castaways.

6. पर मेरी आशा है, कि तुम जान लोगे, कि हम निकम्मे नहीं।

6. I trust that ye shall know that we are not castaways.

7. और हम अपने परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं, कि तुम कोई बुराई न करो; इसलिये हनीं, कि हम खरे देख पड़ें, पर इसलिये कि तुम भलाई करो, चाहे हम निकम्मे ही ठहरें।

7. I desire before God that ye do none evil, not that we should seem commendable: but that ye should do, that which is honest:(good) and let us be counted as lewd persons.(cast aways)

8. क्योंकि हम सत्य के विरोध में कुछ नहीं कर सकते, पर सत्य के लिये कर सकते हैं।

8. We can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9. जब हम निर्बल हैं, और तुम बलवन्त हो, तो हम आनन्दित होते हैं, और यह प्रार्थना भी करते हैं, कि तुम सिद्ध हो जाओ।

9. We are glad when we are weak, and ye strong. This also we wish for, even that ye were perfect.(namely your perfectness)

10. इस कारण मैं तुम्हारे पीठ पीछे ये बातें लिखता हूं, कि उपस्थित होकर मुझे उस अधिकार के अनुसार जिसे प्रभु ने बिगाड़ने के लिये नहीं पर बनाने के लिये मुझे दिया है, कढ़ाई से कुछ करना न पडे।।

10. Therefore write I these things being absent, lest when I am present I should use sharpness according to the power which the Lord hath given me, to edify, and not to destroy.

11. निदान, हे भाइयो, आनन्दित रहो; सिद्ध बनते जाओ; ढाढ़स रखो; एक ही मन रखो; मेल से रहो, और प्रेम और शान्ति का दाता परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ होगा।

11. Furthermore(Finally) brethren fare ye well,(rejoice) be perfect, be of good comfort,(comfort your selves) be of one mind, live in peace,(be peaceable) and the God of love and peace, shall be with you.

12. एक दूसरे को पवित्रा चुम्बन से नमस्कार करो।

12. Greet(Salute) one another in an holy kiss.

13. सब पवित्रा लोग तुम्हें नमस्कार करते हैं।

13. All the saints salute you.

14. प्रभु यीशु मसीह का अनुग्रह और परमेश्वर का प्रेम और पवित्रा आत्मा की सहभागिता तुम सब के साथ होती रहे।।
