1. अब तीसरी बार तुम्हारे पास आता हूं: दो या तीन गवाहों के मुंह से हर एक बात ठहराई जाएगी।

1. Well, this is my third visit coming up. Remember the Scripture that says, 'A matter becomes clear after two or three witnesses give evidence'?

2. जैसे जब दूसरी बार तुम्हारे साथ था, सो वैसे ही अब दूर रहते हुए उन लोगों से जिन्हों ने पहिले पाप किया, और और सब लोगों से अब पहिले से कहे देता हूं, कि यदि मैं फिर आऊंगा, तो नहीं छोडूंगा।

2. On my second visit I warned that bunch that keeps sinning over and over in the same old ways that when I came back I wouldn't go easy on them. Now, preparing for the third, I'm saying it again from a distance. If you haven't changed your ways by the time I get there, look out.

3. तुम तो इस का प्रमाण चाहते हो, कि मसीह मुझ में बोलता है, जो तुम्हारे लिये निर्बल नहीं; परन्तु तुम में सामर्थी है।

3. You who have been demanding proof that Christ speaks through me will get more than you bargained for. You'll get the full force of Christ, don't think you won't.

4. वह निर्बलता के कारण क्रूस पर चढ़ाया तो गया, तौभी परमेश्वर की सामर्थ से जीवित है, हम भी तो उस में निर्बल हैं; परन्तु परमेश्वर की सामर्थ से जो तुम्हारे लिये है, उसके साथ जीएंगे।

4. He was sheer weakness and humiliation when he was killed on the Cross, but oh, he's alive now--in the mighty power of God! We weren't much to look at, either, when we were humiliated among you, but when we deal with you this next time, we'll be alive in Christ, strengthened by God.

5. अपने प्राण को परखो, कि विश्वास में हो कि नहीं; अपने आप को जांचो, क्या तुम अपने विषय में यह नहीं जानते, कि यीशु मसीह तुम में है? नहीं तो तुम निकम्मे निकले हो।

5. Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don't drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.

6. पर मेरी आशा है, कि तुम जान लोगे, कि हम निकम्मे नहीं।

6. I hope the test won't show that we have failed.

7. और हम अपने परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं, कि तुम कोई बुराई न करो; इसलिये हनीं, कि हम खरे देख पड़ें, पर इसलिये कि तुम भलाई करो, चाहे हम निकम्मे ही ठहरें।

7. But if it comes to that, we'd rather the test showed our failure than yours.

8. क्योंकि हम सत्य के विरोध में कुछ नहीं कर सकते, पर सत्य के लिये कर सकते हैं।

8. We're rooting for the truth to win out in you.

9. जब हम निर्बल हैं, और तुम बलवन्त हो, तो हम आनन्दित होते हैं, और यह प्रार्थना भी करते हैं, कि तुम सिद्ध हो जाओ।

9. We couldn't possibly do otherwise. We don't just put up with our limitations; we celebrate them, and then go on to celebrate every strength, every triumph of the truth in you. We pray hard that it will all come together in your lives.

10. इस कारण मैं तुम्हारे पीठ पीछे ये बातें लिखता हूं, कि उपस्थित होकर मुझे उस अधिकार के अनुसार जिसे प्रभु ने बिगाड़ने के लिये नहीं पर बनाने के लिये मुझे दिया है, कढ़ाई से कुछ करना न पडे।।

10. I'm writing this to you now so that when I come I won't have to say another word on the subject. The authority the Master gave me is for putting people together, not taking them apart. I want to get on with it, and not have to spend time on reprimands.

11. निदान, हे भाइयो, आनन्दित रहो; सिद्ध बनते जाओ; ढाढ़स रखो; एक ही मन रखो; मेल से रहो, और प्रेम और शान्ति का दाता परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ होगा।

11. And that's about it, friends. Be cheerful. Keep things in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure.

12. एक दूसरे को पवित्रा चुम्बन से नमस्कार करो।

12. Greet one another with a holy embrace.

13. सब पवित्रा लोग तुम्हें नमस्कार करते हैं।

13. All the brothers and sisters here say hello.

14. प्रभु यीशु मसीह का अनुग्रह और परमेश्वर का प्रेम और पवित्रा आत्मा की सहभागिता तुम सब के साथ होती रहे।।

14. The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.
