1. हे भाइयों, मैं नहीं चाहता कि तुम आत्मिक बरदानों के विषय में अज्ञात रहो।

1. But of spiritual thingis, britheren, Y nyle that ye vnknowun.

2. तुम जानते हो, कि जब तुम अन्यजाति थे, तो गूंगी मूरतों के पीछे जेसे चलाए जाते थे वैसे चलते थे।
हबक्कूक 2:18-19

2. For ye witen, that whanne ye weren hethene men, hou ye weren led goynge to doumbe maumetis.

3. इसलिये मैं तुम्हें चितौनी देता हूं कि जो कोई परमेश्वर की आत्मा की अगुआई से बोलता है, वह नहीं कहता कि यीशु स्त्रापित है; और न कोई पवित्रा आत्मा के बिना कह सकता है कि यीशु प्रभु है।।

3. Therfor Y make knowun to you, that no man spekynge in the spirit of God, seith departyng fro Jhesu; and no man may seie the Lord Jhesu, but in the Hooli Goost.

4. बरदान तो कई प्रकार के हैं, परन्तु आत्मा एक ही है।

4. And dyuerse graces ther ben, but it is al oon Spirit;

5. और सेवा भी कई प्रकार की है, परन्तु प्रभु एक ही है।

5. and dyuerse seruyces ther ben, but it is al oon Lord; and dyuerse worchingis ther ben,

6. और प्रभावशाली कारर्य कई प्रकार के हैं, परन्तु परमशॆवर एक ही है, जो सब में हर प्रकार का प्रभाव उत्पन्न करता है।

6. but `al is oon God, that worchith alle thingis in alle thingis.

7. किन्तु सब के लाभ पहुंचाने के लिये हर एक को आत्मा का प्रकाश दिया जाता है।

7. And to ech man the schewyng of spirit is youun to profit. The word of wisdom is youun to oon bi spirit;

8. क्योंकि एक को आत्मा के द्वारा बुद्वि की बातें दी जाती हैं; और दूसरे को उसी आत्मा के अनुसार ज्ञान की बातें।

8. to another the word of kunnyng, bi the same spirit;

9. और किसी को उसी आत्मा से विश्वास; और किसी को उसी एक आत्मा से चंगा करने का बरदान दिया जाता है।

9. feith to another, in the same spirit; to anothere, grace of helthis, in o spirit;

10. फिर किसी को सामर्थ के काम करने की शक्ति; और किसी को भविष्यद्वाणी की; और किसी को अनेक प्रकार की भाषा; और किसी को भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना।

10. to another, the worchyng of vertues; to another, profecie; to another, very knowyng of spiritis; to another, kyndis of langagis; to another, expownyng of wordis.

11. परन्तु ये सब प्रभावशाली कारर्य वही एक आत्मा करवाता है, और जिसे जो चाहता है वह बांट देता है।।

11. And oon and the same spirit worchith alle these thingis, departynge to ech bi hem silf as he wole.

12. क्योंकि जिस प्रकार देह तो एक है और उसके अंग बहुत से हैं, और उस एक देह के सब अंग, बहुत होने पर भी सब मिलकर एक ही देह हैं, उसी प्रकार मसीह भी है।

12. For as ther is o body, and hath many membris, and alle the membris of the bodi whanne tho ben manye, ben o bodi, so also Crist.

13. क्योंकि हम सब ने क्या यहूदी हो, क्या युनानी, क्या दास, क्या स्वतंत्रा एक ही आत्मा के द्वारा एक देह होने के लिये बपतिस्मा लिया, और हम एक को एक ही आत्मा पिलाया गया।

13. For in o spirit alle we ben baptisid `in to o bodi, ether Jewis, ether hethene, ether seruauntis, ether free; and alle we ben fillid with drink in o spirit.

14. इसलिये कि देह में एक ही अंग नहीं, परन्तु बहुत से हैं।

14. For the bodi is not o membre, but manye.

15. यदि पांव कहे: कि मैं हाथ नहीं, इसलिये देह का नहीं, तो क्या वह इस कारण देह का नहीं?

15. If the foot seith, For Y am not the hoond, Y am not of the bodi; not therfor it is not of the bodi.

16. और यदि कान कहे; कि मैं आंख का नहीं, इसलिये देह का नहीं, तो क्या वह इस कारण देह का नहीं।

16. And if the ere seith, For Y am not the iye, Y am not of the bodi; not therfor it is not of the bodi.

17. यदि सारी देह आंख की होती तो सुनना कहां से होता? यदि सारी देह कान ही होती तो सूंघना कहां होता?

17. If al the bodi is the iye, where is heryng? and if al the bodi is heryng, where is smellyng?

18. परन्तु सचमुच परमेश्वर ने अंगो को अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार एक एक करके देह में रखा है।

18. But now God hath set membris, and ech of hem in the bodi, as he wolde.

19. यदि वे सब एक ही अंग होते, तो देह कहां होती?

19. That if alle weren o membre, where were the bodi?

20. परन्तु अब अंग तो बहुत से हैं, परन्तु देह एक ही है।

20. But now ther ben many membris, but o bodi.

21. आंख हाथ से नहीं कह सकती, कि मुझे तेरा प्रयोजन नहीं, और न सिर पांवों से कह सकता है, कि मुझे तुम्हारा प्रयोजन नहीं।

21. And the iye may not seie to the hond, Y haue no nede to thi werkis; or eft the heed to the feet, Ye ben not necessarie to me.

22. परन्तु देह के वे अंग जो औरों से निर्बल देख पड़ते हैं, बहुत ही आवश्यक हैं।

22. But myche more tho that ben seyn to be the lowere membris of the bodi, ben more nedeful;

23. और देह के जिन अंगो को हम आदर के योग्य नहीं समझते हैं उन्ही को हम अधिक आदर देते हैं; और हमारे शोभाहीन अंग और भी बहुत शोभायमान हो जाते हैं।

23. and thilke that we gessen to be the vnworthier membris of the bodi, we yyuen more honour `to hem; and tho membris that ben vnonest, han more oneste.

24. फिर भी हमारे शोभायमान अंगो केा इस का प्रयोजन नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर ने देह को ऐसा बना दिया है, कि जिस अंग को घटी थी उसी को और भी बहुत आदर हो।

24. For oure oneste membris han nede of noon; but God tempride the bodi, yyuynge more worschip to it, to whom it failide,

25. ताकि देह में फूट न पड़े, परन्तु अंग एक दूसरे की बराबर चिन्ता करें।

25. that debate be not in the bodi, but that the membris be bisi in to the same thing ech for othere.

26. इसलिये यदि एक अंग दु:ख पाता है, तो सब अंग उसके साथ दु:ख पाते हैं; और यदि एक अंग की बड़ाई होती है, तो उसके साथ सब अंग आनन्द मनाते हैं।

26. And if o membre suffrith ony thing, alle membris suffren therwith; ethir if o membre ioieth, alle membris ioien togidere.

27. इसी प्रकार तुम सब मिलकर मसीह की देह हो, और अलग अलग उसके अंग हो।

27. And ye ben the bodi of Crist, and membris of membre.

28. और परमशॆवर ने कलीसिया में अलग अलग व्यक्ति नियुक्त किए हैं; प्रथम प्रेरित, दूसरे भविष्यद्वक्ता, तीसरे शिक्षक, फिर सामर्थ के काम करनेवाले, फिर चंगा करनेवाले, और उपकार करनेवाले, और प्रधान, और नाना प्रकार की भाषा बालनेवाले।

28. But God sette sum men in the chirche, fyrst apostlis, the secunde tyme prophetis, the thridde techeris, aftirward vertues, aftirward graces of heelyngis, helpyngis, gouernails, kyndis of langagis, interpretaciouns of wordis.

29. क्या सब प्रेरित हैं? क्या सब भविष्यद्वक्ता हैं? क्या सब उपदेशक हैं? क्या सब सामर्थ के काम करनेवाले हैं?

29. Whether alle apostlis? whethir alle prophetis? whether alle techeris? whether alle vertues?

30. क्या सब को चंगा करने का बरदान मिला है? क्या सब नाना प्रकार की भाषा बोलते हैं?

30. whether alle men han grace of heelyngis? whether alle speken with langagis? whether alle expownen?

31. क्या सब अनुवाद करते हैं? तुम बड़ी से बड़ी बरदानों की धुन में रहो! परन्तु मैं तुम्हें और भी सब से उत्तम मार्ग बताता हूं।।

31. But sue ye the betere goostli yiftis. And yit Y schewe to you a more exellent weye.
