1. सच्ची दाखलता मैं हूं; और मेरा पिता किसान है।

1. I am the true vine, and my father is the husbandman.

2. जो डाली मुझ में है, और नहीं फलती, उसे वह काट डालता है, और जो फलती है, उसे वह छांटता है ताकि और फले।

2. Euery braunche that beareth not fruite in me, he will take away: And euery braunche that beareth fruite wyll he pourge, that it may bryng foorth more fruite.

3. तुम तो उस वचन के कारण जो मैं ने तुम से कहा है, शुद्ध हो।

3. Nowe are ye cleane through the worde which I haue spoken vnto you.

4. तुम मुझ में बने रहो, और मैं तुम में: जैसे डाली यदि दाखलता में बनी न रहे, तो अपने आप से नहीं फल सकती, वैसे ही तुम भी यदि मुझ में बने न रहो तो नहीं फल सकते।

4. Byde in me, and I in you. As the braunche can not beare fruite of it selfe, except it byde in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abyde in me.

5. में दाखलता हूं: तुम डालियां हो; जो मुझ में बना रहता है, और मैं उस में, वह बहुत फल फलता है, क्योंकि मुझ से अलग होकर तुम कुछ भी नहीं कर सकते।

5. I am the vine, ye are the braunches. He that abydeth in me, and I in hym, the same bryngeth foorth much fruite: For without me can ye do nothyng.

6. यदि कोई मुझ में बना न रहे, तो वह डाली की नाई फेंक दिया जाता, और सूख जाता है; और लोग उन्हें बटोरकर आग में झोंक देते हैं, और वे जल जाती हैं।

6. Yf a man byde not in me, he is cast foorth as a braunch, and withereth, and men gather them, and cast them into the fyre, and they burne.

7. यदि तुम मुझ में बने रहो, और मेरी बातें तुम में बनी रहें तो जो चाहो मांगो और वह तुम्हारे लिये हो जाएगा।

7. Yf ye byde in me, and my wordes abyde in you, aske what ye wyll, and it shalbe done for you.

8. मेरे पिता की महिमा इसी से होती है, कि तुम बहुत सा फल लाओ, तब ही तुम मेरे चेले ठहरोगे।

8. Herein is my father glorified: that ye beare much fruite, and become my disciples.

9. जैसा पिता ने मुझ से प्रेम रखा, मेरे प्रेम में बने रहो।

9. As the father hath loued me, euen so haue I loued you: Continue ye in my loue.

10. यदि तुम मेरी आज्ञाओं को मानोगे, तो मेरे प्रेम में बने रहोगे: जैसा कि मैं ने अपने पिता की आज्ञाओं को माना है, और उसके प्रेम में बना रहता हूं।

10. Yf ye kepe my commaundementes, ye shall abyde in my loue, euen as I haue kept my fathers commaundementes, and abyde in his loue.

11. मैं ने ये बातें तुम से इसलिये कही हैं, कि मेरा आनन्द तुम में बना रहे, और तुम्हारा आनन्द पूरा हो जाए।

11. These thynges haue I spoken vnto you, that my ioy might remayne in you, and that your ioy myght be full.

12. मेरी आज्ञा यह है, कि जैसा मैं ने तुम से प्रेम रखा, वैसा ही तुम भी एक दूसरे से प्रेम रखो।

12. This is my commaundement, that ye loue together, as I haue loued you.

13. इस से बड़ा प्रेम किसी का नहीं, कि कोई अपने मित्रों के लिये अपना प्राण दे।

13. Greater loue hath no man, then this: yt a man bestowe his life for his frendes.

14. जो कुछ मैं तुम्हें आज्ञा देता हूं, यदि उसे करो, तो तुम मेरे मित्रा हो।

14. Ye are my frendes, yf ye do whatsoeuer I commaunde you.

15. अब से मैं तुम्हें दास न कहूंगा, क्योंकि दास नहीं जानता, कि उसका स्वामी क्या करता है: परन्तु मैं ने तुम्हें मित्रा कहा है, क्योंकि मैं ने जो बातें अपने पिता से सुनीं, वे सब तुम्हें बता दीं।

15. Hencefoorth call I you not seruautes: for the seruaunt knoweth not what his Lorde doeth. But you haue I called frendes, for all thynges that I haue hearde of my father, haue I made knowen to you.

16. तुम ने मुझे नहीं चुना परन्तु मैं ने तुम्हें चुना है और तुम्हें ठहराया ताकि तुम जाकर फल लाओ; और तुम्हारा फल बना रहे, कि तुम मेरे नाम से जो कुछ पिता से मांगो, वह तुम्हें दे।

16. Ye haue not chosen me, but I haue chosen you, and ordayned you, to go, and bryng foorth fruite, and that your fruite shoulde remayne, that whatsoeuer ye aske of the father in my name, he may geue it you.

17. इन बातें की आज्ञा मैं तुम्हें इसलिये देता हूं, कि तुम एक दूसरे से प्रेम रखो।

17. This commaunde I you, that ye loue together.

18. यदि संसार तुम से बैर रखता है, तो तुम जानते हो, कि उस ने तुम से पहिले मुझ से भी बैर रखा।

18. Yf the worlde hate you, ye knowe that it hated me before it hated you.

19. यदि तुम संसार के होते, तो संसार अपनों से प्रीति रखता, परन्तु इस कारण कि तुम संसार में से चुन लिया है इसी लिये संसार तुम से बैर रखता है।

19. If ye were of the worlde, the worlde would loue his owne: Howbeit, because ye are not of the worlde, but I haue chosen you out of the worlde: therfore the worlde hateth you.

20. जो बात मै। ने तुम से कही थी, कि दास अपने स्वामी से बड़ा नहीं होता, उसको याद रखो: यदि उन्हों ने मुझे सताया, तो तुम्हें भी सताएंगे; यदि उन्हों ने मेरी बात मानी, तो तुम्हारी भी मानेंगे।

20. Remember the worde that I sayde vnto you: the seruaunt is not greater then the Lorde. If they haue persecuted me, they wyll also persecute you. If they haue kept my saying, they wyll kepe yours also.

21. परन्तु यह सब कुछ वे मेरे नाम के कारण तुम्हारे साथ करेंगे क्योंकि वे मेरे भेजनेवाले को नहीं जानते।

21. But all these thynges wyll they do vnto you for my names sake, because they haue not knowe hym that sent me.

22. यदि मैं न आता और उन से बातें न करता, तो वे पापी न ठहरते परन्तु अब उन्हें उन के पाप के लिये कोई बहाना नहीं।

22. Yf I had not come and spoken vnto them, they shoulde haue had no sinne: but nowe haue they nothyng to cloke their sinne withall.

23. जो मुझ से बैर रखता है, वह मेरे पिता से भी बैर रखता है।

23. He that hateth me, hateth my father also.

24. यदि मैं उन में वे काम न करता, जो और किसी ने नहीं किए तो वे पापी नहीं ठहरते, परन्तु अब तो उन्हों ने मुझे और मेरे पिता दोनों को देखा, और दोनों से बैर किया।

24. Yf I had not done among them, the workes which none other man dyd, they shoulde haue had no sinne. But nowe haue they both seene, and hated not only me, but also my father,

25. और यह इसलिये हुआ, कि वहि वचन पूरा हो, जो उन की व्यवस्था में लिखा है, कि उन्हों ने मुझ से व्यर्थ बैर किया।

25. But [this commeth to passe,] that the worde myght be fulfylled, that is written in their lawe: They hated me without a cause.

26. परन्तु जब वह सहायक आएगा, जिसे मैं तुम्हारे पास भेजूंगा, अर्थात् सत्य का आत्मा जो पिता की ओर से निकलता है, तो वह मेरी गवाही देगा।

26. But when the comforter is come, whom I wyl sende vnto you from the father, euen the spirite of trueth, which proceadeth of the father, he shall testifie of me.

27. और तुम भी गवाह हो क्योंकि तुम आरम्भ से मेरे साथ रहे हो।।

27. And ye shall beare witnesse also, because ye haue ben with me from the begynnyng.
