1. और फरीसियों और सदूकियों ने पास आकर उसे परखने के लिये उस से कहा, कि हमें आकाश का कोई चिन्ह दिखा।

2. उस ने उन को उत्तर दिया, कि सांझ को तुम कहते हो कि खुला रहेगा क्योंकि आकाश लाल है।

3. और भोर को कहते हो, कि आज आन्धी आएगी क्योंकि आकाश लाल और धुमला है; तुम आकाश का लक्षण देखकर भेद बता सकते हो पर समयों के चिन्हों को भेद नहीं बता सकते?

3. and in the morninge ye saye to daye shalbe foule wedder and that because the skye is cloudy and reed. O ye ypocrites ye can discerne ye fassion of the skye: and can ye not discerne ye signes of the tymes?

4. इस युग के बुरे और व्यभिचारी लोग चिन्ह ढूंढ़ते हैं पर यूनुस के चिन्ह को छोड़ कोई और चिन्ह उन्हें न दिया जाएगा, और वह उन्हें छोड़कर चला गया।।

4. The frowarde nacion and advoutrous seketh a signe and there shall non other signe be geven vnto them but the signe of the prophet Ionas. So lefte he them and departed.

5. और चेले पार जाते समय रोटी लेना भूल गए थे।

5. And when his disciples were come to the other side of the water they had forgotte to take breed with the.

6. यीशु ने उन से कहा, देखो; फरीसियों और सदूकियों के खमीर से चौकस रहना।

6. Then Iesus sayd vnto them: Take hede and beware of the leve of ye Pharises and of ye Saduces.

7. वे आपस में विचार करने लगे, कि हम तो रोटी नहीं लाए।

7. And they thought in them selves sayinge: because we have brought no breed with vs.

8. यह जानकर, यीशु ने उन से कहा, हे अल्पविश्वासियों, तुम आपस में क्यों विचार करते हो कि हमारे पास रोटी नहीं?

8. When Iesus vnderstode that he sayd vnto the. O ye of lytell faith why are youre mindes cumbred because ye have brought no breed?

9. क्या तुम अब तक नहीं समझे? और उन पांच हजार की पांच रोटी स्मरण नहीं करते, और न यह कि कितनी टोकरियां उठाईं थीं?

9. Do ye not yet perceave nether remeber those .v. loves when there were .v.M. men and how many baskettes toke ye vp?

10. और न उन चार हजार की सात रोटी; और न यह कि कितने टोकरे उठाए गए थे?

10. Nether the .vii. loves when there were .iiiii.M. and how many baskettes toke ye vp?

11. तुम क्यों नहीं समझते कि मैं ने तुम से रोटियों के विषय में नहीं कहा? फरीसियों और सदूकियों के खमीर से चौकस रहना।

11. Why perceave ye not then yt I spake not vnto you of breed whe I sayde beware of the leven of the Pharises and of the Saduces?

12. तब उन को समझ में आया, कि उस ने रोटी के खमीर से नहीं, पर फरीसियों और सदूकियों की शिक्षा से चौकस रहने को कहा था।

13. यीशु कैसरिया फिलिप्पी के देश में आकर अपने चेलों से पूछने लगा, कि लोग मनुष्य के पुत्रा को क्या कहते हैं?

13. When Iesus cam in to the costes of the cite which is called Cesarea Philippi he axed his disciples sayinge: whom do men saye yt I the sonne of ma am?

14. उन्हों ने कहा, कितने तो यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देनेवाला कहते हैं और कितने एलिरयाह, और कितने यिर्मयाह या भविष्यद्वक्ताओं में से कोई एक कहते हैं।

14. They saide some saye yt thou arte Ihon Baptist some Helias some Ieremias or one of ye prophetes.

15. उस ने उन से कहा; परन्तु तुम मुझे क्या कहते हो?

15. He sayde vnto the: but who saye ye yt I am?

16. शमौन पतरस ने उत्तर दिया, कि तू जीवते परमेश्वर का पुत्रा मसीह है।

17. यीशु ने उस को उत्तर दिया, कि हे शमौन योना के पुत्रा, तू धन्य है; क्योंकि मांस और लोहू ने नहीं, परन्तु मेरे पिता ने जो स्वर्ग में है, यह बात तुझ पर प्रगट की है।

17. And Iesus answered and sayde to him: happy arte thou Simon the sonne of Ionas for fleshe and bloud hath not opened vnto the yt but my father which is in heve.

18. और मैं भी तुझ से कहता हूं, कि तू पतरस है; और मैं इस पत्थर पर अपनी कलीसिया बनाऊंगा: और अधोलोक के फाटक उस पर प्रबल न होंगे।

20. तब उस ने चेलों को चिताया, कि किसी से न कहना! कि मैं मसीह हूं।

20. Then he charged his disciples yt they shulde tell no man yt he was Iesus Christ.

21. उस समय से यीशु अपने चेलों को बताने लगा, कि मुझे अवश्य है, कि यरूशलेम को जाऊं, और पुरनियों और महायाजकों और शास्त्रियों के हाथ से बहुत दुख उठाऊं; और मार डाला जाऊं; और तीसरे दिन जी उठूं।

21. From yt tyme forth Iesus began to shewe vnto his disciples how yt he must go vnto Ierusalem and suffer many thinges of ye Elders and of ye hye prestes and of the scribes and must be killed and ryse agayne ye thirde daye.

22. इस पर पतरस उसे अलग ले जाकर झिड़कने लगा कि हे प्रभु, परमेश्वर न करे; तुझ पर ऐसा कभी न होगा।

22. But Peter toke him asyde and began to rebuke him sayinge: master faver thy sylfe this shall not come vnto the.

23. उस ने फिरकर पतरस से कहा, हे शैतान, मेरे साम्हने से दूर हो: तू मेरे लिये ठोकर का कारण है; क्योंकि तू परमेश्वर की बातें नहीं, पर मनुष्यों की बातों पर मन लगाता है।

23. Then tourned he aboute and sayde vnto Peter: come after me Satan thou offendest me because thou sauourest not godly thinges but wordly thinges

24. तब यीशु ने अपने चेलों से कहा; यदि कोई मेरे पीछे आना चाहे, तो अपने आप का इन्कार करे और अपना क्रूस उठाए, और मेरे पीछे हो ले।

24. Iesus then sayde to his disciples. If eny man wyll folowe me leet him forsake him sylfe and take vp his crosse and folowe me.

25. क्योंकि जो कोई अपना प्राण बचाना चाहे, वह उसे खोएगा; और जो कोई मेरे लिये अपना प्राण खोएगा, वह उसे पाएगा।

25. For who soever wyll save his lyfe shall loose it. And whosoever shall loose his lyfe for my sake shall fynde it.

26. यदि मनुष्य सारे जगत को प्राप्त करे, और अपने प्राण की हाति उठाए, तो उसे क्या लाभ होगा? या मनुष्य अपने प्राण के बदले में क्या देगा?

26. What shall it proffet a man though he shulde wynne all the whoole worlde: yf he loose his owne soule? Or els what shall a man geve to redeme his soule agayne with all?

27. मनुष्य का पुत्रा अपने स्वर्गदूतों के साथ अपने पिता की महिमा में आएगा, और उस समय वह हर एक को उसके कामों के अनुसार प्रतिफल देगा।

27. For the sonne of man shall come in the glory of his father wt his angels: and then shall he rewarde every man accordinge to his dedes.

28. मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं, कि जो यहां खड़े हैं, उन में से कितने ऐसे हैं; कि जब तक मनुष्य के पुत्रा को उसके राज्य में आते हुए न देख लेंगे, तब तक मृत्यु का स्वाद कभी न चखेंगे।

28. Verely I saye vnto you some ther be amonge them that here stonde which shall not taste of deeth tyll they shall have sene the sonne of man come in his kyngdomen.
