1. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

1. And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, & sayde:

2. मिद्यानियों से इस्त्राएलियों का पलटा ले; बाद को तू अपने लोगों में जा मिलेगा।

2. Auenge the childre of Israel of the Madianites, yt thou mayest afterwarde be gathered vnto yi people.

3. तब मूसा ने लोगों से कहा, अपने में से पुरूषों को युद्ध के लिये हथियार बन्धाओ, कि वे मिद्यानियों पर चढ़के उन से यहोवा का पलटा ले।

3. The spake Moses vnto the people, & sayde: Harnesse some men amonge you to the warre agaynst the Madianites (yt they maye auenge ye LORDE vpon the Madianites)

4. इस्त्राएल के सब गोत्रों में से प्रत्येक गोत्रा के एक एक हजार पुरूषों को युद्ध करने के लिये भेजो।

4. out of euery trybe a thousande, yt out of euery trybe of Israel ye maye sende some to the battayll.

5. तब इस्त्राएल के सब गोत्रों में से प्रत्येक गोत्रा के एक एक हजार पुरूष चुने गये, अर्थात् युद्ध के लिये हथियार- बन्द बारह हजार पुरूष।

5. And from amonge the thousandes of Israel they toke one thousande out of euery tribe, euen twolue thousande prepared vnto the battayll.

6. प्रत्येक गोत्रा में से उन हजार हजार पुरूषों को, और एलीआजर याजक के पुत्रा पीनहास को, मूसा ने युद्ध करने के लिये भेजा, और उसके हाथ में पवित्रास्थान के पात्रा और वे तुरहियां थीं जो सांस बान्ध बान्ध कर फूंकी जाती थीं।

6. And Moses sent them with Phineas the sonne of Eleasar the prest in to the battayll, and the holy vessels and ye trompettes to blowe in his hande.

7. और जो आज्ञा यहोवा ने मूसा को दी थी, उसके अनुसार उन्हों ने मिद्यानियों से युद्ध करके सब पुरूषों को घात किया।

7. And they fought agaynst ye Madianites as ye LORDE comaunded Moses, & slew all ye males,

8. और दूसरे जूझे हुओं को छोड़ उन्हों ने एवी, रेकेम, सूर, हूर, और रेबा नाम मिद्यान के पांचों राजाओं को घात किया; और बोर के पुत्रा बिलाम को भी उन्हों ने तलवार से घात किया।

8. & the kynge of the Madianites slew they also amonge the other that were slaine namely, Eui, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba, the fyue kynges of the Madianites. And they slew Balaam the sonne of Beor wt the swerde.

9. और इस्त्राएलियों ने मिद्यानी स्त्रियों को बालबच्चों समेत बन्धुआई में कर लिया; और उनके गाय- बैल, भेड़- बकरी, और उनकी सारी सम्पत्ति को लूट लिया।

9. And ye children of Israel toke the wemen of the Madianites presoners, & their childre: all their catell, all their substaunce, and all their goodes spoiled they,

10. और उनके निवास के सब नगरों, और सब छावनियों को फूंक दिया;

10. and all their cities of their dwellynges & castels burnt they wt fyre.

11. तब वे, क्या मनुष्य क्या पशु, सब बन्धुओं और सारी लूट- पाट को लेकर

11. And they toke all ye spoyles, & all yt they coulde catche men & catell,

12. यरीहो के पास की यरदन नदी के तीर पर, मोआब के अराबा में, छावनी के निकट, मूसा और एलीआजर याजक और इस्त्राएलियों की मण्डली के पास आए।।

12. and brought the vnto Moses & to Eleasar the prest, and to ye congregacion of the children of Israel (namely ye presoners, and the catell yt were take, and the good that was spoyled) in to the hoost in the felde of the Moabites, which lyeth besyde Iordane ouer against Iericho.

13. तब मूसा और एलीआजर याजक और मण्डली के सब प्रधान छावनी के बाहर उनका स्वागत करने को निकले।

13. And Moses and Eleasar the prest and all the captaines of ye congregacion, wete out of the hoost to mete the.

14. और मूसा सहस्त्रापति- शतपति आदि, सेनापतियों से, जो युद्ध करके लौटे आते थे क्रोधित होकर कहने लगा,

14. And Moses was angrie at the officers of the hoost, which were captaynes ouer thousandes and hudreds, yt came from the battayll,

15. क्या तुम ने सब स्त्रियों को जीवित छोड़ दिया?

15. and sayde vnto the: Haue ye saued all ye wemen alyue?

16. देखे, बिलाम की सम्मति से, पोर के विषय में इस्त्राएलियों से यहोवा का विश्वासघात इन्हीं ने कराया, और यहोवा की मण्डली में मरी फैली।

16. Beholde, haue not they (thorow Balaams busynes) turned awaye ye childre of Israel to synne agaynst the LORDE vpo Peor, & their came a plage ouer the whole cogregacion of ye LORDE?

17. सो अब बालबच्चों में से हर एक लड़के को, और जितनी स्त्रियों ने पुरूष का मुंह देखा हो उन सभों को घात करो।

17. Now therfore slaie all the males amoge ye childre, & kyll all ye wemen yt haue knowne men & lyen wt them.

18. परन्तु जितनी लड़कियों ने पुरूष का मुंह न देखा हो उन सभों को तुम अपने लिये जीवित रखो।

18. But all the wemen chidren yt haue knowne no me ner lien wt them, kepe those alyue for youre selues.

19. और तुम लोग सात दिन तक छावनी के बाहर रहो, और तुम में से जितनों ने किसी प्राणी को घात किया, और जितनों ने किसी मरे हुए को छूआ हो, वे सब अपने अपने बन्धुओं समेत तीसरे और सातवें दिनों में अपने अपने को पाप छुड़ाकर पावन करें।

19. And lodge ye without the hoost, all yt haue slayne any man, or touched the slayne, that on the thirde and seuenth daie ye maie purifie yor selues and those whom ye haue taken presoners.

20. और सब वस्त्रों, और चमड़े की बनी हुई सब वस्तुओं, और बकरी के बालों की और लकड़ी की बनी हुई सब वस्तुओं को पावन कर लो।

20. And all the clothes, and all stuffe that is made of ?kynnes, and all maner furres, and all vessels of wod shal ye purifie.

21. तब एलीआजर याजक ने सेना के उन पुरूषों से जो युद्ध करने गए थे कहा, व्यवस्था की जिस विधि की आज्ञा यहोवा ने मूसा को दी है वह यह है,

21. And Eleasar the prest sayde vnto ye captaynes of the hoost, yt wente out to the battayll: This is the statute of the lawe, which the LORDE comaunded Moses:

22. कि सोना, चांदी, पीतल, लोहा, रांगा, और सीसा,

22. Golde, siluer brasse, yron, tynne and leed,

23. जो कुछ आग में ठहर सके उसको आग में डालो, तब वह शुद्ध ठहरेगा; तौभी वह अशुद्धता छुड़ानेवाले जल के द्वारा पावन किया जाए; परन्तु जो कुछ आग में न ठहर सके उसे जल में डुबाओ।

23. and all that suffreth the fyre, shall ye cause to go thorow the fyre, and clense it, that it maye be purified with ye sprencklynge water. As for all soch as suffreth not the fyre, ye shal cause it to go thorow ye water,

24. और सातवें दिन अपने वस्त्रों को धोना, तब तुम शुद्ध ठहरोगे; और तब छावनी में आना।।

24. and shal washe yor clothes vpon the seuenth daye. and the shall ye be cleane. After that shall ye come in to the hooste.

25. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

25. And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, and sayde:

26. एलीआजर याजक और मण्डली के पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य मुख्य पुरूषों को साथ लेकर तू लूट के मनुष्यों और पशुओं की गिनती कर;

26. Take the summe of the spoyle of those that are taken, both of wemen and of catell, thou and Eleasar the prest, and the chefe fathers of the congregacion,

27. तब उनको आधा आधा करके एक भाग उन सिपाहियों को जो युद्ध करने को गए थे, और दूसरा भाग मण्डली को दे।

27. and geue ye halfe vnto those that toke the warre vpon them, and wente out to the battayll, and ye other halfe to the congregacion.

28. फिर जो सिपाही युद्ध करने को गए थे, उनके आधे में से यहोवा के लिये, क्या मनुष्य, क्या गाय- बैल, क्या गदहे, क्या भेड़- बकरियां

28. And of the men of warre that wente out to ye battayll, thou shalt heue vnto the LORDE one soule of fyue hundreth, both of the wemen, oxen, Asses and shepe:

29. पांच सौ के पीछे एक को मानकर ले ले; और यहोवा की भेंट करके एलीआजर याजक को दे दे।

29. Of their halfe parte shalt thou take it, and geue it vnto Eleasar the prest for an Heueofferynge vnto the LORDE.

30. फिर इस्त्राएलियों के आधे में से, क्या मनुष्य, क्या गाय- बैल, क्या गदहे, क्या भेड़- बकरियां, क्या किसी प्रकार का पशु हो, पचास के पीछे एक लेकर यहोवा के निवास की रखवाली करनेवाले लेवियों को दे।

30. But of the children of Israels halfe parte, thou shalt take one heade of fyftie, both of the wemen, oxen, Asses and shepe, and of all the catell, and shalt geue them vnto the Leuites, that wayte vpon the habitacio of the LORDE.

31. यहोवा की इस आज्ञा के अनुसार जो उस ने मूसा को दी मूसा और एलीआजर याजक ने किया।

31. And Moses and Eleasar the prest dyd as the LORDE commaunded Moses.

32. और जो वस्तुएं सेना के पुरूषों ने अपने अपने लिये लूट ली थीं उन से अधिक की लूट यह थी; अर्थात् छ: लाख पचहत्तर हजार भेड़- बकरियां,

32. And the spoyle and praye which ye men of warre had spoyled, was sixe hundreth thousande and fyue and seuentye thousande shepe,

33. बहत्तर हजार गाय बैल,

33. two and seuentye thousande oxen,

34. इकसठ हजार गदहे,

34. one & thre score thousande Asses:

35. और मनुष्यों में से जिन स्त्रियों ने पुरूष का मुंह नहीं देखा था वह सब बत्तीस हजार थीं।

35. and the wemen yt had knowne no men ner lyen wt them, were two and thirtie thousande soules.

36. और इसका आधा, अर्थात् उनका भाग जो युद्ध करने को गए थे, उस में भेड़बकरियां तीन लाख साढ़े सैंतीस हजार,

36. And the halfe parte which belonged vnto them that wente to the warre, was in nobre thre hundreth thousande, and seuen and thirtie thousande, and fyue hundreth shepe:

37. जिस में से पौने सात सौ भेड़- बकरियां यहोवा का कर ठहरीं।

37. of the which the LORDE had sixe hundreth, & fyue and seuentye shepe.

38. और गाय- बैल छत्तीस हजार, जिन में से बहत्तर यहोवा का कर ठहरे।

38. Item sixe and thirtie thousande oxen: wherof the LORDE had two & seuentye.

39. और गदहे साढ़े तीस हजार, जिन में से इकसठ यहोवा का कर ठहरे।

39. Item thirtie thousande fyue hundreth Asses: wherof the LORDE had one & thre score.

40. और मनुष्य सोलह हजार जिन में से बत्तीस प्राणी यहोवा का कर ठहरे।

40. Item sixtene thousande soules of wemen: wherof the LORDE had two & thirtie.

41. इस कर को जो यहोवा की भेंट थी मूसा ने यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार एलीआजर याजक को दिया।

41. And Moses gaue this heueofferynge of the LORDE vnto Eleasar the prest, as the LORDE commaunded him.

42. और इस्त्राएलियों की मण्डली का आधा

42. As for the other halfe which Moses deuyded vnto the children of Israel fro thorne; men of warre

43. तीन लाख साढ़े सैंतिस हजार भेड़- बकरियां

43. (namely ye halfe that fell to the congregacion) it was also thre hundreth thousande, and seuen and thyrtie thousande, & fyue hundreth shepe,

44. छत्तीस हजार गाय- बैल,

44. sixe and thirtie thousande oxen,

45. साढ़े तीस हजार गदहे,

45. thyrtie thousande & fyue hundreth Asses,

46. और सोलह हजार मनुष्य हुए।

46. and sixtene thousande wemen soules.

47. इस आधे में से, जिसे मूसा ने युद्ध करनेवाले पुरूषों के पास से अलग किया था, यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार मूसा ने, क्या मनुष्य क्या पशु, पचास पीछे एक लेकर यहोवा के निवास की रखवाली करनेवाले लेवियों को दिया।

47. And of this halfe of the childre of Israel toke Moses one of euery fyftie, both of the catell & of the wemen, and gaue them vnto ye Leuites, that waited vpon the habitacio of the LORDE, as ye LORDE comauded Moses.

48. तब सहस्त्रापति- शतपति आदि, जो सरदार सेना के हजारों के ऊपर नियुक्त थे, वे मूसा के पास आकर कहने लगे,

48. And the captaynes ouer ye thousandes of the hoost, namely they that were ouer thousandes and ouer hundreds, came forth vnto Moses, and sayde vnto him:

49. जो सिपाही हमारे अधीन थे उनकी तेरे दासों ने गिनती ली, और उन में से एक भी नहीं घटा।

49. Thy seruauntes haue taken ye summe of ye men of warre, that were vnder oure hande, and there lacked not one:

50. इसलिये पायजेब, कड़े, मुंदरियां, बालियां, बाजूबन्द, सोने के जो गहने, जिस ने पाया है, उनको हम यहोवा के साम्हने अपने प्राणों के निमित्त प्रायश्चित्त करने को यहोवा की भेंट करके ले आए हैं।

50. therfore brynge we a present vnto the LORDE, what euery one hath foude of Iewels of golde, cheynes, bracelettes, rynges, earinges, and taches, that oure soules maye be reconcyled before the LORDE.

51. तब मूसा और एलीआजर याजक ने उन से वे सब सोने के नक्काशीदार गहने ले लिए।

51. And Moses and Eleasar ye prest toke of them ye golde of all maner ornamentes.

52. और सहस्त्रापतियों और शतपतियों ने जो भेंट का सोना यहोवा की भेंट करके दिया वह सब का सब सोलह हजार साढ़े सात सौ शेकेल का था।

52. And all the golde of the Heueofferynge that they Heued vnto the LORDE, was sixtene thousande and seuen hundreth and fyftye Sycles, of the captaynes ouer thousandes and hundreds.

53. ( योद्धाओं ने तो अपने अपने लिये लूट ले ली थी। )

53. For loke what euery one had spoyled, that was his awne.

54. यह सोना मूसा और एलीआजर याजक ने सहस्त्रापतियों और शतपतियों से लेकर मिलापवाले तम्बू में पहुंचा दिया, कि इस्त्राएलियों के लिये यहोवा के साम्हने स्म्रण दिलानेवाली वस्तु ठहरे।।

54. And Moses wt Eleasar the prest toke the golde of the captaynes ouer thousandes and hundreds, and broughte it in to the Tabernacle of witnesse for a remembraunce of the children of Israel before the LORDE.
