1. फिर जो दूत मुझ से बातें करता था, उस ने आकर मुझे ऐसा जगाया जैसा कोई नींद से जगाया जाए।

1. And the angel that talked with me, came again, and waked me up, as a man that is raised out of his sleep,

2. और उस ने मुझ से पूछा, तुझे क्या देख पड़ता है? मैं ने कहा, एक दीवट है, जो सम्पूर्ण सोने की है, और उसका कटोरा उसकी चोटी पर है, और उस पर उसके सात दीपक है; जिन के ऊपर बत्ती के लिये सात सात नालियां हैं।

2. and said unto me: What seest thou? And I said: I have looked, and behold: a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon it, and his seven lamps therein, and upon every lamp seven stalks.

3. और दीवट के पास जलपाई के दो वृक्ष हैं, एक उस कटोरे की दहिनी ओर, और दूसरा उसकी बाईं ओर।

3. And two olive trees thereby, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side.

4. तब मैं ने उस दूत से जो मुझ से बातें करता था, पूछा, हे मेरे प्रभु, ये क्या हैं?

4. So I answered, and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying: O my lord what are these?

5. जो दूत मुझ से बातें करता था, उस ने मुझ को उत्तर दिया, क्या तू नहीं जानता कि ये क्या हैं? मैं ने कहा, हे मेरे प्रभु मैं नहीं जानता।

5. The angel that talked with me answered and said unto me: knowest thou not what these be? And I said; No, my lord.

6. तब उस ने मुझे उत्तर देकर कहा, जरूब्बाबेल के लिये यहोवा का यह वचन है: न तो बल से, और न शक्ति से, परन्तु मेरे आत्मा के द्वारा होगा, मुझ सेनाओं के यहोवा का यही वचन है।

6. He answered, and said unto me: This is the word of the LORD unto Zorobabel, saying: Neither thorow an host of men, nor thorow strength, but thorow my spirit, sayeth the LORD of Hosts.

7. हे बड़े पहाड़, तू क्या है? जरूब्बाबेल के साम्हने तू मैदान हो जाएगा; और वह चोटी का पत्थर यह पुकारते हुए आएगा, उस पर अनुग्रह हो, अनुग्रह!

7. What art thou, thou great mountain, before Zorobabel? thou must be made even. And he shall bring up the first stone so that men shall cry unto him: good luck, good luck.

8. फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

8. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

9. जरूब्बाबेल ने अपने हाथों से इस भवन की नेव डाली है, और वही अपने हाथों से उसको तैयार भी करेगा। तब तू जानेगा कि सेनाओं के यहोवा ने मुझे तुम्हारे पास भेजा है।

9. The hands of Zorobabel have laid the foundation of this house, his hands also shall finish it: that ye may know, how that the LORD of Hosts hath sent me unto you.

10. क्योंकि किस ने छोटी बातों के दिन तुच्छ जाना है? यहोवा अपनी इन सातों आंखों से सारी पृथ्वी पर दृष्टि करके साहुल को जरूब्बाबेल के हाथ में देखेगा, और आनन्दित होगा।

10. For he that hath been despised a little season, shall rejoice, when he seeth the tin weight in Zorobabel's hand. The seven eyes are the LORD's, which go thorow the whole world.

11. तब मैं ने उस से फिर पूछा, ये दो जलपाई के वृक्ष क्या हैं जो दीवट की दहिनी- बाई ओर हैं?

11. Then answered I, and said unto him: What are these two olive trees upon the right and left side of the candlestick?

12. फिर मैं ने दूसरी बार उस से पूछा, जलपाई की दोनों डालियें क्या हैं जो सोने की दोनों नालियों के द्वारा अपने में से सोनहला तेल उण्डेलती हैं?

12. I spake moreover, and said unto him: what be these two olive branches (which thorow the two golden pipes) empty themselves into the gold?

13. उस ने मुझ से कहा, क्या तू नहीं जानता कि ये क्या हैं? मैं ने कहा, हे मेरे प्रभु मैं नहीं जानता।

13. He answered me, and said: knowest thou not, what these be? And I said: No, my lord.

14. तब उस ने कहा, इनका अर्थ ताजे तेल से भरे हुए वे दो पुरूष हैं जो सारी पृथ्वी के परमेश्वर के पास हाजिर रहते हैं।।

14. Then said he: These are the two olive branches, that stand before the ruler of the whole earth.
