1. और दारा नाम मादी राजा के राज्य के पहिले वर्ष में उसको हियाव दिलाने और बल देने के लिये मैं खड़ा हो गया ।।

1. And in the first yeare of Darius of Media, I stode by him, to conforte him, & to strength him,

2. और अब मैं तुझ को सच्ची बात बताता हूं। देख, फारस के राज्य में अब तीन और राजा उठेंगे; और चौथा राजा उन सभों से अधिक धनी होगा; और जब वह धन के कारण सामर्थी होगा, तब सब लोगों को यूनान के राज्य के विरूद्ध उभारेगा।

2. and now wil I shewe the the treuth. Beholde, there shal stonde vp yet thre kinges in Persia, but ye fourth shal be farre richer then they all. And when he is in the chefest power of his riches, he shal prouoke euery man agaynst the realme of Grekelonde.

3. उसके बाद एक पराक्रमी राजा उठकर अपना राज्य बहुत बढ़ाएगा, और अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार ही काम किया करेगा।

3. Then shal there arise yet a mightie kinge, that shal rule with greate dominion, and do what him list.

4. और जब वह बड़ा होगा, तब उसका राज्य टूटेगा और चारों दिशाओं में बटकर अलग अलग हो जाएगा; और न तो उसके राज्य की शक्ति ज्यों की त्यों रहेगी और न उसके वंश को कुछ मिलेगा; क्योंकि उसका राज्य उखड़कर, उनकी अपेक्षा और लोगों को प्राप्त होगा।।

4. And as soone as his kingdome commeth vp, it shalbe destroyed, & deuyded towarde ye foure wyndes of the heauen. They yt come after him, shall not haue soch power & dominion as he: but his kingdome shalbe scatred, yee euen amonge other the those.

5. तब दक्खिन देश का राजा बल पकड़ेगा; परन्तु उसका एक हाकिम उस से अधिक बल पकड़कर प्रभुता करेगा; यहां तक कि उसकी प्रभुता बड़ी हो जाएगी।

5. And the kynge of ye south shalbe migthier, then his other prynces. Agaynst him there shal one make himself stroge, & shal rule his dominio wt greate power.

6. कई वर्षों के बीतने पर, वे दोनों आपस में मिलेंगे, और दक्खिन देश के राजा की बेटी उत्तर देश के राजा के पास शान्ति की वाचा बान्धने को आएगी; परन्तु उसका बाहुबल बना न रहेगा, और न वह राजा और न उसका नाम रहेगा; परन्तु वह स्त्री अपने पहुंचानेवालों और अपने पिता और अपने सम्भालनेवालों समेत अलग कर दी जाएगी।।

6. But after certayne yeares they shalbe ioyned together, & the kynges doughter of the south shall come to the kynge of the north, for to make fredshipe, but she shal not optayne the power of that arme, nether shall she be able to endure thorow his might: but she, & soch as brought her (yee & he yt begat her, & conforted her for his tyme) shalbe delyuered vp.

7. फिर उसकी जड़ों में से एक डाल उत्पन्न होकर उसके स्थान में बढ़ेगी; वह सेना समेत उत्तर के राजा के गढ़ में प्रवेश करेगा, ओश्र उन से युद्ध करके प्रबल होगा।

7. Out of ye braunches of hir rote, there shal one stonde vp in his steade: which with power of armes shal go thorow the kynges londe of the north, & handle him acordinge to his strength. As for their Idols & prynces, with their costly Iewels of golde & syluer,

8. तब वह उसके देवताओं की ढली हुई मूरतों, और सोने- चान्दी के मनभाऊ पात्रों को छीनकर मि में ले जाएगा; इसके बाद वह कुछ वर्ष तक उत्तर देश के राजा के विरूद्ध हाथ रोके रहेगा।

8. he shal cary them awaye captyues in to Egipte, and he shal preuayle agaynst the kynge of the north certayne yeares.

9. ृतब वह राजा दक्खिन देश के राजा के देश में आएगा, परन्तु फिर अपने देश में लौट जाएगा।।

9. And when he is come into ye kynges realme of ye south, he shal be fayne to turne agayne in to his owne londe.

10. उसके पुत्रा झगड़ा मचाकर बहुत से बड़े बड़े दल इकट्टे करेंगे, और उपण्डनेवाली नदी की नाईं आकर देश के बीच होकर जाएंगे, फिर लौटते हुए उसके गढ़ तक झगड़ा मचाते जाएेंगे।

10. Wherfore his sonnes shalbe displeased, and shal gather together a mightie greate hoost of people: and one of them shal come, and go thorow like a waterfloude: then shal he returne, and go forth with defyenge and boostinge vnto his owne londe.

11. तब दक्खिन देश का राजा चिढ़ेगा, और निकलकर उत्तर देश के उस राजा से युद्ध करेगा, और वह राजा लड़ने के लिये बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठी करेगा, परन्तु वह भीड़ उसके हाथ में कर दी जाएगी।

11. The the kinge of ye south shalbe angrie, and shal come forth to fight agaynst the kinge of the north: Yee he shall bringe a greate multitude of people together, and a greate heape shalbe geue into his honde:

12. उस भीड़ को जीत करके उसका मन फूल उठेगा, और वह लाखों लोगों को गिराएगा, परन्तु वह प्रबल न होगा।

12. these shal he cary awaye wt greate pryde, for so moch as he hath cast downe so many thousandes, neuertheles he shall not preuayle.

13. क्योंकि उत्तर देश का राजा लौटकर पहिली से भी बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठी करेगा; और कई दिनों वरन वर्षों के बीतने पर वह निश्चय बड़ी सेना और सम्पत्ति लिए हुए आएगा।।

13. For ye kinge of ye north shal gather (of the new) a greater heape of people then afore, & come forth (after a certayne tyme and yeares) with a mightie hoost & exceadinge greate good.

14. उन दिनों में बहुत से लोग दक्खिन देश के राजा के विरूद्ध उठेंगे; वरन तेरे लोगों में से भी बलात्कारी लोग उठ खड़े होंगे, जिस से इस दर्शन की बात पूरी हो जाएगी; परन्तु वे ठोकर खाकर गिरेंगे।

14. At the same tyme there shall many stonde vp agaynst the kinge of the south, so that ye wicked children of thy people also shal exalte them selues (to fulfill the vision) and then fall.

15. तब उत्तर देश का राजा आकर किला बान्धेगा और दृढ़ नगर ले लेगा। और दक्खिन देश के न तो प्रधान खड़े रहेेंगे और न बड़े वीर; क्योंकि किसी के खड़े रहने का बल न रहेगा।

15. So the kinge of the north shall come to laye sege, and to take the stroge fensed cities: And the power of the of ye south shal not be able to abyde him, & the best men of the people shall not be so stronge, as to resist him.

16. तब जो भी उनके विरूद्ध आएगा, वह अपनी इच्छा पूरी करेगा, और वह हाथ में स्त्यानाश लिए हुए शिरोमणि देश में भी खड़ा होगा और उसका साम्हना करनेवाला कोई न रहेगा।

16. Shortly, when he commeth, he shall handle him as he list, & no man shalbe so hardy as to stonde agaynst him. He shal stode in the pleasaunt countre, which thorow him shalbe destroyed.

17. तब वह अपने राज्य के पूर्ण बल समेत, कई सीधे लोगों को संग लिए हुए आने लगेगा, और अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार काम किया करेगा। और वह उसको एक स्त्री इसलिये देगा कि उसका राज्य बिगाडा जाए; परन्तु वह स्थिर न रहेगी, न उस राजा की होगी।

17. He shal set his face wt all his power to optayne his kingdome, & to be like it. Yee that shal he do, & geue him vnto the doughters amoge women, to destroye him. But he shal fayle, nether shal he optayne his purpose.

18. तब वह द्धीपों की ओर मुंह करके बहुतों को ले लेगा; परन्तु एक सेनापति उसके अहंकार को मिटाएगा; वरन उसके अहंकार के अनुकूल उसे बदला देता।

18. After this, shall he set his face vnto the Iles, & take many of the. A prynce shal stoppe him, to do him a shame, besyde the confucion that els shal come vnto him.

19. तब वह अपने देश के गढ़ों की ओर मुंह फेरेगा, और वह ठोकर खाकर गिरेगा, और कहीं उसका पता न रहेगा।

19. Thus shal he turne agayne to his owne londe, stomble, & fall, and be nomore founde:

20. तब उसके स्थान में कोई ऐसा उठेगा, जो शिरोमणि राज्य में अन्धेर करनेवाले को घुमाएगा; परन्तु थोड़े दिन बीतने पर वह क्रोध वा युद्ध किए बिना ही नाश हो जाएगा।

20. so he that came vpon him & dyd him violence, shal stonde in his place, & haue a pleasaunt kingdome: and after few dayes he shal be destroyed, & that nether in wrath ner in batell.

21. उसके स्थान में एक तुच्छ मनुष्य उठेगा, जिसकी राजप्रतिष्ठा पहिले तो न होगी, तौभी वह चैन के समय आकर चिकनी- चुपड़ी बातों के द्वारा राज्य को प्राप्त करेगा।

21. In his steade there shal aryse a vyle person not holde worthy of a kinges dignite: this shall come in craftely, & optayne the kingdome with fayre wordes:

22. तब उसकी भुजारूपी बाढ़ से लोग, वरन वाचा का प्रधान भी उसके साम्हने से बहकर नाश होंगे।

22. he shal fight agaynst the armes of the mightie (& destroye them,) yee & agaynst the prynce of the couenaunt.

23. क्योंकि वह उसके संग वाचा बान्धने पर भी छल करेगा, और थोड़े ही लोगों को संग लिए हुए चढ़कर प्रबल होगा।

23. So after yt he hath taken truce with him, he shal hadle disceatfully: that he maye get vp, & ouer come him with a small flocke:

24. चैन के समय वह प्रान्त के उत्तम से उत्तम स्थानों पर चढ़ाई करेगा; और जो काम न उसके पुरखा और न उसके पुरखाओं के पुरखा करते थे, उसे वह करेगा; और लूटी हुई धन- सम्पत्ति उन में बहुत बांटा करेगा। वह कुछ काल तक दृढ़ नगरों के लेने की कल्पना करता रहेगा।

24. & so with craftynesse to get him to ye fattest place of the londe, and to deale otherwise, then ether his fathers or graudfathers dyd. For he shal destroye the thinge, ye they had robbed & spoyled, yee & all their substaunce: ymagenynge thoughtes agaynst the stroge holdes, & that for a tyme.

25. तब वह दक्खिन देश के राजा के विरूद्ध बड़ी सेना लिए हुए अपने बल और हियाव को बढ़ाएगा, और दक्खिन देश का राजा अत्यन्त बड़ी सामर्थी सेना लिए हुए युद्ध तो करेगा, परन्तु ठहर न सकेगा, क्योंकि लोग उसके विरूद्ध कल्पना करेंगे।

25. His power and herte shalbe sterred vp wt a greate armye agaynst the kinge of the south: where thorow the kinge of the south shalbe moued then vnto batell, with a greate & mightie hoost also. Neuerthelesse, he shal not be able to stonde, for they shall conspyre agaynst him.

26. उसके भोजन के खानेवाले भी उसको हरवाएंगे; और यघपि उसकी सेना बाढ़ की नाईं चढ़ेंगी, तौभी उसके बहुत से लोग मर मिटेंगे।

26. Yee they yt eate of his meate, shal hurte him: so that his hoost shal fall, & many be slayne downe.

27. तब उन दोनों राजाओं के मन बुराई करने में लगेंगे, यहां तक कि वे एक ही मेज पर बैठे हुए आपस में झूठ बोलेंगे, परन्तु इस से कुछ बन न पड़ेगा; क्योंकि इन सब बातों का अन्त नियत ही समय में होनेवाला है।

27. These two kinges shalbe mynded to do myschefe, & talke of disceate at one table: but they shal not prospere: for why, the ende shal not come yet, vnto the tyme apoynted.

28. तब उत्तर देश का राजा बड़ी लूट लिए हुए अपने देश को लौटेगा, और उसका मन पवित्रा वाचा के विरूद्ध उभरेगा, और वह अपनी इच्छ पूरी करके अपने देश को लौट जाएगा।।

28. The shall he go home agayne in to his owne londe with greate good, & set his herte agaynst the holy couenaunt, he shalbe busy agaynst it, & then returne home.

29. नियत समय पर वह फिर दक्खिन देश की ओर जाएगा, परन्तु उस पिछली बार के समान इस बार उसका वश न चलेगा।

29. At the tyme appoynted he shal come agayne, & go towarde the south: So shall it happen otherwise then at the first, yet ones agayne.

30. क्योंकि कित्तियों के जहाज उसके विरूद्ध आएंगे, और वह उदास होकर लौटेगा, और पवित्रा वाचा पर चिढ़कर अपनी इच्छा पूरी करेगा। वह लौटकर पवित्रा वाचा के तोड़नेवालों की सुधि लेगा।

30. And why, the shippes of Cythim shal come vpon him, that he maye be smytten & turne agayne: yt he maye take indignacion agaynst the couenaunt of holynes, to medle agaynst it. Yee he shal turne him, & drawe soch vnto him, as leaue the holy couenaunt.

31. तब उसके सहायक खड़े होकर, दृढ़ पवित्रा स्थान को अपवित्रा करेंगे, और नित्य होमबलि को बन्द करेंगे। और वे उस घृणित वस्तु को खड़ा करेंगे जो उजाड़ करा देती है।

31. He shal set mightie men to vnhalowe the sanctuary of stregth, to put downe the daylie offeringe, & to set vp the abhominable desolacion.

32. और जो दुष्ट होकर उस वाचा को तोड़ेंगे, उनको वह चिकनी- चुपड़ी बातें कह कहकर भक्तिहीन कर देगा; परन्तु जो लोग अपने परमेश्वर का ज्ञान रखेंगे, वे हियाव बान्धकर बड़े काम करेंगे।

32. And soch as breake the couenaunt, shal he flatre with fayre wordes. But ye people that wil knowe their God, shal haue the ouerhade and prospere.

33. और लोगों को सिखानेवाले बुद्धिमान जन बहुतों को समझाएंगे, तौभी वे बहुत दिन तक तलवार से छिदकर और आग में जलकर, और बंधुए होकर और लुटकर, बड़े दु:ख में पड़े रहेंगे।

33. Those also that haue vnderstondinge amonge the people, shal enfourme the multitude: & for a longe season, they shalbe persecuted with swearde, with fyre, with captyuyte & with the takynge awaye of their goodes.

34. जब वे दु:ख में पड़ेंगे तब थोड़ा बहुत सम्भलेंगे, परन्तु बहुत से लोग चिकनी- चुपड़ी बातें कह कहकर उन से मिल जाएंगे;

34. Now whe they fall, they shalbe set vp with a litle helpe: but many shal cleue vnto them faynedly.

35. और सिखानेवालों में से कितनें गिरेंगे, और इसलिये गिरने पाएंगे कि जांचे जाएं, और निर्मल और उजले किए जाएं। यह दशा अन्त के समय तक बनी रहेगी, क्योंकि इन सब बातों का अन्त नियत समय में होनेवाला है।।

35. Yee some of those which haue vnderstondynge shal be persecuted also: yt they maye be tryed, purified & clesed, till the tyme be out: for there is yet another tyme appoynted.

36. तब वह राजा अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार काम करेगा, और अपने आप को सारे देवताओं से ऊंचा और बड़ा ठहराएगा; वरन सब देवताओं के परमेश्वर के विरूद्ध भी अनोखी बातें कहेगा। और जब तक परमेश्वर का क्रोध न हो जाए तब तक उस राजा का कार्य सफल होता रहेगा; क्योंकि जो कुछ निश्चय करके ठाना हुआ है वह अवश्य ही पूरा होनेवाला है।

36. The kinge shal do what him list, he shal exalte and magnifie himself agaynst all, that is God. Yee he shall speake maruelous thinges agaynst the God of all goddes, wherin he shal prospere, so longe till the wrath be fulfilled, for the conclusion is deuysed alredy.

37. He shal not regarde the God of his fathers, but his lust shall be vpon wome: Yee he shal not care for eny God, for he shal magnifie himself aboue all.

38. वह अपने राजपद पर स्थिर रहकर दृढ़ गढ़ों ही के देवता का सम्मान करेगा, एक ऐसे देवता का जिसे उसके पुरखा भी न जानते थे, वह सोना, चान्दी, मणि और मनभावनी वस्तुएं चढ़ाकर उसका सम्मान करेगा।

38. In his place shal he worshipe the mightie Idols: & the god whom his fathers knewe not, shal he honoure with golde and syluer, with precious stones and pleasaunt Iewels.

39. उस बिराने देवता के सहारे से वह अति दृढ़ गढ़ों से लड़ेगा, और जो कोई उसको माने उसे वह बड़ी प्रतिष्ठा देगा। ऐसे लोगों को वह बहुतों के ऊपर प्रभुता देगा, और अपने लाभ के लिए अपने देश की भूमि को बांट देगा।।

39. This shal he do, sekinge helpe and sucoure at the mightie Idols and straunge goddes. Soch as wil receaue him, and take him for God, he shal geue them greate worshipe and power: yee and make them lordes of the multitude, and geue them the londe with rewardes.

40. अन्त के समय दक्खिन देश का राजा उसको सींग मारने लगेगा; परन्तु उत्तर देश का राजा उस पर बवण्डर की नाईं बहुत से रथ- सवार और जहाज लेकर चढ़ाई करेगा; इस रीति से वह बहुत से देशों में फैल जाएगा, और उन में से निकल जाएगा।

40. In the latter tyme, shal the kinge of the south stryue with him: and the kinge of the north in like maner shall come agaynst him with charettes, horsmen & with a greate nauy of shippes. He shal come in to the londes, destroye and go thorow:

41. वह शिरोमणि देश में भी आएगा। और बहुत से देश उजड़ जाएंगे, परन्तु ऐदोमी, मोआबी और मुख्य मुख्य अम्मोनी आदि जातियों के देश उसके हाथ से बच जाएंगे।

41. he shal entre also in to the fayre pleasaunt londe. Many cities & countrees shal decaye, excepte Edom, Moab & the best of the children of Ammon, which shal escape from his honde.

42. वह कई देशों पर हाथ बढ़ाएगा और मि देश भी न बचेगा।

42. He shall stretch forth his hodes vpon the countrees, & the londe of Egipte shal not escape him.

43. वह मि के सोने चान्दी के खजानों और सब मनभावनी वस्तुओं का स्वामी हो जाएगा; और लूबी और कूशी लोग भी उसके पीछे हो लेंगे।

43. For thorow his goinge in, he shal haue dominion ouer the treasures of syluer & golde, & ouer all the precious Iewels of Egipte, Lybia and Ethiopia.

44. उसी समय वह पूरब और उत्तर दिशाओं से समाचार सुनकर घबराएगा, और बड़े क्रोध में आकर बहुतों को सत्यानाश करने के लिये निकलेगा।

44. Neuerthelesse the tydinges out of the east and the north shall trouble him, for the which cause he shal go forth to destroye & curse a greate multitude.

45. और वह दोनों समुद्रों के बीच पवित्रा शिरोमणि पर्वत के पास अपना राजकीय तम्बू खड़ा कराएगा; इतना करने पर भी उसका अन्त जा जाएगा, और कोई उसका सहायक न रहेगा।।

45. The tentes of his palace shall he pytch betwixte the two sees, vpon the hill of the noble sanctuary, for he shal come to the ende of it, and then shal no man helpe him.
