1. दसवें वर्ष के दसवें महीने के बारहवें दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, अपना मुख मिस्र के राजा फिरौन की ओर करके उसके और सारे मिस्र के विरूद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी कर;

2. Son of man, Set thy face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And prophesy against him, and against Egypt all of it:

3. यह कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता हे, हे मिस्र के राजा फिरौन, मैं तेरे विरूद्ध हूँ, हे बड़े नगर, तू जो अपनी नदियों के बीच पड़ा रहता है, जिस ने कहा है कि मेरी नदी मेरी निज की है, और मैं ही ने उसको अपने लिये बनाया है।

3. Speak, and thou shalt say Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh Behold me! against thee O Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great Crocodile that lieth along in the midst of his rivers: Who saith My river is, mine own, Since I myself made it me!

4. मैं तेरे जबड़ों में आँकड़े डालूंगा, औरतेरी नदियों की मछलियों को तेरी खाल में चिपटाऊंगा, और तेरी खाल में चिपटी हुई तेरी नदियों की सब मछलियों समेत तुझ को तेरी नदियों में से निकालूंगा।

4. Therefore will I put hooks in thy jaws, And cause the fish of thy rivers to stick fast in thy scales, And will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, And lull the fish of thy rivers Ito thy scales1 shall stick fast;

6. तब मिस्र के सारे निवासी जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ। वे तो इस्राएल के घराने के लिये नरकट की टेक ठहरे थे।

6. So shall all the inhabitants of Egypt know that I, am Yahweh, Because they were a staff of reed to the house of Israel:

7. जब उन्हों ने तुझ पर हाथ का बल दिया तब तू टूट गया और उनके पखौड़े उखड़ ही गए; और जब उन्हों ने तुझ पर टेक लगाई, तब तू टूट गया, और उनकी कमर की सारी नसें चढ़ गई।

7. Whensoever they took held of thee by the hand, thou didst run through, and tear open for them every hand, And whensoever they leaned upon thee, thou didst break, and caused all their loins to halt.

8. इस कारण प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, देख, मैं तुझ पर तलवार चलवाकर, तेरे मनुष्य और पशु, सभों को नाश करूंगा।

8. Therefore, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! bringing upon thee a sword, And I will cut off out of thee, man and beast;

9. तब मिस्र देश उजाड़ ही अजाड़ होगा; और वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ। डस ने कहा है कि मेरी नदी मेरी अपनी ही है, और मैं ही ने उसे बनाया।

9. And the land of Egypt shall become an astonishment and desolation, go shall they know that, I, am Yahweh, Because he said The river is mine own, Since, I, myself made it!

10. इस कारण देख, मैं तेरे और तेरी नदियों के विरूद्ध हूँ, और मिस्र देश को मिग्दोल से लेकर सवेने तक वरन कूश देश के सिवाने तक उजाड़ ही उजाड़ कर दूंगा।

10. Therefore, behold me! against thee and against thy rivers, And I will make the land of Egypt to be most desolate an astounding desolation, from Migdol to Syene even up to the boundary of Ethiopia:

11. चालीस वर्ष तक उस में मनुष्य वा पशु का पांव तक न पड़ेगा; और न उस में कोई बसेगा।

11. The foot of man shall not pass through it, Nor shall the foot of beast, pass through it, Neither shall it be inhabited forty years:

12. चालीस वर्ष तक मैं मिस्र देश को उजड़े हुए देशों के बीच उजाड़ कर रखूंगा; और उसके नगर उजड़े हुए नगरों के बीच खण्डहर ही रहेंगे। मैं मिस्रियों को जाति जाति में छिन्न- भिन्न कर दूंगा, और देश देश में तितर- बितर कर दूंगा।

12. So will I make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of lands made desolate And her cities in the midst of cities that have been laid waste, shall become a desolation forty years, And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands.

13. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है कि चालीस वर्ष के बीतने पर मैं मिस्रियों को उन जातियों के बीच से इकट्ठा करूंगा, जिन में वे तितर- बितर हुए;

13. For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, At the end of forty years, will I gather the Egyptians from among the peoples whither I had dispersed them;

14. और मैं मिस्रियों को बंधुआई से छुड़ाकर पत्रास देश में, जो उनकी जन्मभूमि है, फिर पहुंचाऊंगा; और वहां उनका छोटा सा राज्य हो जाएगा।

14. And I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, And will cause them to return To the land of Pathros Upon the land of their nativity, And they shall become, there a kingdom abased:

15. वह सब राज्यों में से छोटा होगा, और फिर अपना सिर और जातियों के ऊपर न उठाएगा; क्योंकि मैं मिस्रियों को ऐसा घटाऊंगा कि वे अन्यजातियों पर फिर प्रभुता न करने पाएंगे।

15. More than any of the kingdoms, shall she be abased, And shall lift herself up no more over the nations, Yea I will make them too small to rule over the nations.

16. और वह फिर इस्राएल के घराने के भरोसे का कारण न होगा, क्योंकि जब वे फिर उनकी बोर देखने लगें, तब वे उनके अधर्म को स्मरण करेंगे। और तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं परमेश्वर यहोवा हूँ।

16. So shall it become no more unto the house of Israel a security. Calling to mind iniquity, by their turning to follow them, And they shall know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh.

17. फिर सत्ताइसवें वर्ष के पहले महीने के पहिले दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

17. And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year in the first month on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:

18. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर ने सोर के घेरने में अपनी सेना से बड़ा परिश्रम कराया; हर एक का सिर चन्दला हो गया, और हर एक के कन्धों का चमड़ा उड़ गया; तौभी उसको सोर से न तो इस बड़े परिश्रम की मज़दूरी कुछ मिली और न उसकी सेना को।

18. Son of man Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, hath made his army undergo a long service against Tyre, Every head, hath been made bald, and Every shoulder worn beret But pay, hath he had none nor hath his army, out of Tyre, for the service wherewith he hath served against it.

19. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता हे, देख, मैं बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर को मिस्र देश दूंगा; और वह उसकी भीड़ को ले जाएगा, और उसकी धन सम्पत्ति को लूटकर अपना कर लेगा; सो यही पजदूरी उसकी सेना को मिलेगी।

19. Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the land of Egypt, And he shall carry off her multitude And capture her spoil And seize her prey, So shall she become pay for his army.

20. मैं ने उसके परिश्रम के बदले में उसको मिस्र देश इस कारण दिया है कि उन लोगों ने मेरे लिये काम किया था, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी हे।

20. As a reward for his labour wherewith he hath served, have I given to him the land of Egypt, in that they wrought for me, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

21. उसी समय मैं इस्राएल के घराने का एक सींग उगाऊंगा, और उनके बीच तेरा मुंह खोलूंगा। और वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

21. In that day, will I cause to bud a horn for the house of Israel, And to thee, will I give an opening of mouth in their midst, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh.
