1. फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, यरूशलेम को उसके सब घृणित काम जता दे।

2. 'Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations

3. और उस से कह, हे यरूशलेम, प्रभु यहोवा तुझ से यों कहता है, तेरा जन्म और तेरी उत्पत्ति कनानियों के देश से हुई; तेरा पिता तो एमोरी और तेरी माता हित्तिन थी।

3. and say, `Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem: Thy birth and thy nativity are of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite and thy mother a Hittite.

4. और तेरा जन्म ऐसे हुआ कि जिस दिन तू जन्मी, उस दिन न तेरा नाल काटा गया, न तू शुठ्ठ होने के लिये धोई गई, न तेरे कुछ लोन मला गया और न तू कुछ कपड़ों में लमेटी गई।

4. And as for thy nativity, on the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to soothe thee. Thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

5. किसी की दयादृष्टि तुझ पर नहीं हुई कि इन कामों में से तेरे लिये एक भी काम किया जाता; वरन अपने जन्म के दिन तू घृणित होने के कारण खुले मैदान में फेंक दी गई थी।

5. No eye pitied thee to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the loathing of thy person on the day that thou wast born.

6. और जब मैं तेरे पास से होकर निकला, और तुझे लोहू में लोटते हुए देखा, तब मैं ने तुझ से कहा, हे नोहू में लोटती हुई जीवित रह; हां, तुझ ही से मैं ने कहा, हे लोहू मे लोटती हुई, जीवित रह।

6. '`And when I passed by thee and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, 'Live'; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, 'Live.'

7. फिर मैं ने तुझे खेत के बिरूले की नाई बढाया, और तू बढ़ते बढ़ते बड़ी हो गई और अति सुन्दर हो गई; तेरी छातियां सुडौल हुई, और तेरे बाल बढे; तौभी तू नंगी थी।

7. I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxed great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments. Thy breasts are fashioned and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

8. मैं ने फिर तेरे पास से होकर जाते हुए तुझे देखा, और अब तू पूरी स्त्री हो गई थी; सो मैं ने तुझे अपना वस्त्रा ओढ़ाकर तेरा तन ढांप दिया; और सौगन्ध खाकर तुझ से पाचा बान्धी और तू मेरी हो गई, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

8. '`Now when I passed by thee and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread My skirt over thee and covered thy nakedness. Yea, I swore unto thee and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest Mine.

9. तब मैं ने तुझे जल से नहलाकर तुझ पर से लोहू धो दिया, और तेरी देह पर तेल मला।

9. Then washed I thee with water; yea, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10. फिर मैं ने तुझे बूटेदार वस्त्रा और सूइसों के चमड़े की जूतियां पहिनाई; और तेरी कमर में सूक्ष्म सन बान्धा, और तुझे रेशमी कपड़ा ओढ़ाया।

10. I clothed thee also with embroidered work and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

11. तब मैं ने तेरा श्रृंगार किया, और तेरे हाथें में चूड़ियां और गले में तोड़ा पहिनाया।

11. I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands and a chain on thy neck.

12. फिर मैं ने तेरी नाक में नत्थ और तेरे कानों में बालियां पहिनाई, और तेरे सिर पर शोभायमान मुकुट धरा।

12. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

13. तेरे आभूषण सोने चान्दी के और तेरे वस्त्रा सूक्ष्म सन, रेशम और बूटेदार कमड़े के बने; फिर तेरा भोजन मैदा, मधु और तेल हुआ; और तू अत्यन्त सुन्दर, वरन रानी होने के योग्य हो गई।

13. Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver, and thy raiment was of fine linen and silk and embroidered work. Thou didst eat fine flour and honey and oil; and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

14. और तेरी सुन्दरता की कीर्त्ति अन्यजातियों में फैल गई, क्योंकि उस प्रताप के कारण, जो मैं ने अपनी ओर से तुझे दिया था, तू अत्यन्त सुन्दर थी, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

14. And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty; for it was perfect through My comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

15. परन्तु तू अपनी सुन्दरता पर भरोसा करके अपनी नामवरी के कारण व्यभिचार करने लगी, और सब यात्रियों के संग बहुत कुकर्म किया, और जो कोई तुझे चाहता था तू उसी से मिलती थी।

15. '`But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and played the harlot because of thy renown, and poured out thy fornications on every one that passed by: his it was.

16. तू ने अपने वस्त्रा लेकर रंग बिरंग के ऊंचे स्थान बना लिए, और उन पर व्यभिचार किया, ऐसे कुकर्म किए जो न कभी हुए और न होंगे।

16. And of thy garments thou didst take, and decked thy high places with divers colors and played the harlot thereupon. The like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

17. और तू ने अपने सुशोभित गहने लेकर जो मेरे दिए हुए सोने- चान्दी के थे, उन से पुरूषों की मूरतें बना ली, और उन से भी व्यभिचार करने लगी;

17. Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of My gold and of My silver, which I had given thee, and madest for thyself images of men and didst commit whoredom with them,

18. और अपने बूटेदार वस्त्रा लेकर उनको पहिनाए, और मेरा तेल और मेरा धूप उनके साम्हने चढ़ाया।

18. and tookest thy embroidered garments and covered them; and thou hast set Mine oil and Mine incense before them.

19. और जो भोजन मैं ने तुझे दिया था, अर्थात् जो मैदा, तेल और मधु मैं तुझे खिलाता था, वह सब तु ने उनके साम्हने सुखदायक सुगत्ध करके रखा; प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है कि यों ही हुआ।

19. My meat also which I gave thee -- fine flour and oil and honey, wherewith I fed thee -- thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savor; and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

20. फिर तू ने अपने पुत्रा- पुत्रियां लेकर जिन्हें तू ने मेरे लिये जन्म दिया, उन मूरतों को नैवेद्य करके चढ़ाई। क्या तेरा व्सभिचार ऐसी छोटी बात थीं;

20. Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto Me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this thy whoredoms a small matter,

21. कि तू ने मेरे लड़केबाले उन मूरतों के आगे आग में चढ़ाकर घात किए हैं?

21. that thou hast slain My children and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

22. और तू ने अपने सब घृणित कामों में और व्यभिचार करते हुए, अपने बचपन के दिनों की कभी सुधि न ली, जब कि तू नंगी अपने लोहू में लोटनी थी।

22. And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare and wast polluted in thy blood.

23. और तेरी उस सारी बुराई के पीछे क्या हुआ?

23. '`And it came to pass after all thy wickedness (Woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD),

24. प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, हाय, तुझ पर हाय ! कि तू ने एक गुम्मट बनवा लिया, और हर एक चौक में एक ऊंचा स्थान बनवा लिया;

24. that thou hast also built unto thee a brothel house, and hast made thee a high place in every street.

25. और एक एक सड़क के सिरे पर भी तू ने अपना ऊंचा स्थान बनवाकर अपनी सुन्दरता घृणित करा दी, और हर एक यात्री को कुकर्म के लिये बुलाकर महाव्यभिचारिणी हो गई।

25. Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

26. तू ने अपने पड़ोसी मिस्री लोगों से भी, जो मोटे- ताजे हैं, व्यभिचार किया और मुझे क्रोध दिलाने के लिये अपना व्यभिचार चढ़ाती गई।

26. Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbors, great of flesh, and hast increased thy whoredoms to provoke Me to anger.

27. इस कारण मैं ने अपना हाथ तेरे विरूद्ध बढ़ाकर, तेरा प्रति दिन का खाना घटा दिया, और तेरी बैरिन पलिश्ती स्त्रियां जो तेरे महापाप की चाल से लजाती है, उनकी इच्छा पर मैं ने तुझे छोड़ दिया है।

27. Behold, therefore I have stretched out My hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28. फिर भी तेरी तृष्णा न बुझी, इसलिये तू ने अश्शूरी लोगों से भी व्यभिचार किया; और उन से व्यभिचार करने पर भी तेरी तृष्णा न बुझी।

28. Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them and yet couldest not be satisfied.

29. फिर तू लेन देन के देश में व्यभिचार करते करते कसदियों के देश तक पहुंची, और वहां भी तेरी तृष्णा न बुझी।

29. Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea, and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

30. प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि तेरा हृदय कैसा चंचल है कि तू ये सब काम करती है, जो निर्लज्ज वेश्या ही के काम हैं?

30. '`How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman,

31. तू ने हर एक सड़क के सिरे पर जो अपना गुम्मट, और हर चौक में अपना ऊंचा स्थान बनवाया है, क्या इसी में तू वेश्या के समान नहीं ठहरी? क्योंकि तू ऐसी कमाई पर हंसती है।

31. in that thou buildest thine eminent place at the head of every way and makest thine high place in every street, and hast not been as a harlot in that thou scornest hire,

32. तू व्यभिचारिणी पत्नी है। तू पराये पुरूषों को अपने पति की सन्ती ग्रहण करती है।

32. but as a wife that committeth adultery, that taketh strangers instead of her husband!

33. सब वेश्याओं को तो रूपया मिलता है, परन्तु तू ने अपने सब मित्रों को स्वयं रूपए देकर, और उनको लालच दिखाकर बुलाया है कि वे चारों ओर से आकर तुझ से व्यभिचार करें।

33. Gifts are given to all whores, but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.

34. इस प्रकार तेरा व्यभिचार और व्यभिचारियों से उलटा है। तेरे पीछे कोई व्यभिचारी नहीं चलता, और तू किसी से दाम लेती नहीं, वरन तू ही देती है; इसी कारण तू उलटी ठहरी।

34. And it is the contrary in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms; and in that thou givest a reward and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.

35. इस कारण, हे वेश्या, यहोवा का वचन सुन,

35. '`Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD!

36. प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, कि तू ने जो व्यभिचार में अति निर्लज्ज होकर, अपनी देह अपने मित्रों को दिखाई, और अपनी मूरतों से घृणित काम किए, और अपने लड़केबालों का लोहू बहाकर उन्हें बलि चढ़ाया है,

36. Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thy filthiness was poured out and thy nakedness uncovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children which thou didst give unto them,

37. इस कारण देख, मैं तेरे सब मित्रों को जो तेरे प्रेमी हैं और जितनों से तू ने प्रीति लगाई, और जितनों से तू ने वैर रखा, उन सभों को चारों ओर से तेरे विरूद्ध इकट्ठा करके उनको तेरी देह नंगी करके दिखाऊंगा, और वे तेरा तन देखेंगे।

37. behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated. I will even gather them round about against thee and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38. तब मैं तुझ को ऐसा दण्ड दूंगा, जैसा व्यभिचारिणियों और लोहू बहानेवाली स्त्रियों को दिया जाता है; और क्रोध और जलन के साथ तेरा लोहू बहाऊंगा।

38. And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

39. इस रीति मैं तुझे उनके वश में कर दूंगा, और वे तेरे गुम्मटों को ढा देंगे, और तेरे ऊंचे स्थानों को तोड़देंगे; वे तेरे वस्त्रा बरबस उतारेंगे, और तेरे सुन्दर गहने छीन लेंगे, और तुझे नंगा करके छोड़ देंगे।

39. And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place and shall break down thy high places. They shall strip thee also of thy clothes and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

40. तब तेरे विरूद्ध एक सभा इकट्ठी करके वे तुझ को पत्थरवाह करेंगे, और अपनी कटारों से वारपार छेदेंगे।

40. They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones and thrust thee through with their swords.

41. तब वे आग लगाकर तेरे घरों को जला देंगे, और तूझे बहुत सी स्त्रियों के देखते दण्ड देंगे; और मैं तेरा व्यभिचार बन्द करूंगा, और तू फिर छिनाले के लिये दाम न देगी।

41. And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

42. और जब मैं तुझ पर पूरी जलजलाहट प्रगट कर चुकूंगा, तब तुझ पर और न जलूंगा वरन शान्त हो जाऊंगो और फिर न रिसियाऊंगा।

42. So will I make My fury toward thee to rest, and My jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet and will be no more angry.

43. तू ने जो अपने बचपन के दिन स्मरण नही रखे, वरन इन सब बातों के द्वारा मुझे चिढाया; इस कारण मैं तेरा चालचलन तेरे सिर पर डालूंगा और तू अपने सब पिछले घृणित कामों से और अधिक महापाप न करेगी, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

43. Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast made Me fret in all these things, behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD; and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.

44. देख, सब कहावत कहनेवाले तेरे विषय यह कहावत कहेंगे, कि जैसी मां वैसी पुत्री।

44. '`Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, 'As is the mother, so is her daughter.'

45. तेरी मां जो अपने पति और लड़केबालों से घृणा करती थी, तू भी ठीक उसकी पुत्री ठहरी; और तेरी बहिनें जो अपने अपने पति और लड़केबालों से घृृणा करती थीं, तू भी ठीक उनकी बहिन निकली। तेरी माता हित्तिन और पिता एमोरी था।

45. Thou art thy mother's daughter, who loatheth her husband and her children, and thou art the sister of thy sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.

46. तेरी बड़ी बहिन हाोमरोन है, जो अपनी पुत्रियों समेत तेरी बाई ओर रहती है, और तेरी छोटी बहिन, जो तेरी दहिनी ओर रहती है वह पुत्रियों समेत सदोम है।

46. And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters, who dwell at thy left hand; and thy younger sister, who dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

47. तू उनकी सी चाल नहीं चली, और न उनके से घृणित कामों ही से सन्तुष्ट हुई; यह तो बहुत छोटी बात ठहरती, परन्तु तेरा सारा चालचलन उन से भी अधिक बिगड़ गया।

47. Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done according to their abominations, but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

48. प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मेरे जीवन की सौगन्ध, तेरी बहिन सदोम ने अपनी पुत्रियों समेत तेरे ओर तेरी पुत्रियों के समान काम नहीं किए।

48. As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49. देख, तेरी बहिन सदोम का अधर्म यह था, कि वह अपनी पुत्रियों सहित घमण्ड करती, पेट भर भरके खाती, और सुख चैन से रहती थीे और दीन दरिद्र को न संभालती थी।

49. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy;

50. सो वह गर्व करके मेरे साम्हने घृणित काम करने लगी, और यह देखकर मैं ने उन्हें दूर कर दिया।

50. and they were haughty and committed abomination before Me. Therefore I took them away as I saw good.

51. फिर शोमरोन ने तेरे पापों के आधे भी पाप नहीं किऐ तू ने तो उस से बढ़कर घृणित काम किए ओर अपने घोर घृणित कामों के द्वारा अपनी बहिनों को जीत लिया।

51. Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52. सो तू ने जो अपनी बहिनों का न्याय किया, इस कारण लज्जित हो, क्योंकि तू ने उन से बढ़कर घृणित पाप किए हैं; इस कारण वे तुझ से कम दोषी ठहरी हैं। सो तू इस बात से लज्जा कर और लजाती रह, क्योंकि तू ने अपनी बहिनों को कम दोषी ठहराया है।

52. Thou also, who hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou. Yea, be thou confounded also and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

53. जब मैं उनको अर्थात् पुत्रियों सहित सदोम और शोमरोन को बंधुआई से फेर लाऊंगा, तब उनके बीच ही तेरे बंधुओं को भी फेर लाऊंगा,

53. '`When I shall bring back their captives, the captives of Sodom and her daughters and the captives of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring back the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them,

54. जिस से तू लजाती रहे, और अपने सब कामों को देखकर लजाए, क्योंकि तू उनकी शान्ति ही का कारण हुई है।

54. that thou mayest bear thine own shame and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

55. और तेरी बहिनें सदोम और शोमरोन अपनी अपनी पुत्रियों समेत अपनी पहिली दशा को फिर पहुंचेंगी, और तू भी अपनी पुत्रियों सहित अपनी पहिली दशा को फिर पहंचेगी।

55. When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

56. जब तक तेरी बुराई प्रगट न हुई थी, अर्थात् जिस समय तक तू आस पास के लोगों समेत अरामी और पलिश्ती स्त्रियों की जो अब चारों ओर से तुझे तुच्छ जानती हैं, नामधराई करती थी,

56. For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

57. उन अपने घ्मण्ड के दिनों में तो तू अपनी बहिन सदोम का नाम भी न लेती थी।

57. before thy wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria and all who are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise thee round about.

58. परन्तु अब तुझ को अपने महापाप और घृणित कामों का भार आप ही उठाना पड़ा है, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

58. Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

59. प्रभु यहोवा यह कहता है, मैं तेरे साथ ऐसा ही बर्ताव करूंगा, जैसा तू ने किया है, क्योंकि तू ने तो वाचा तोड़कर शपथ तुच्छ जानी है,

59. '`For thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

60. तौभी मैं तेरे बचपन के दिनों की अपनी वाचा स्मरण करूंगा, और तेरे साथ सदा की वाचा बान्धूंगा।

60. Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61. और जब तू अपनी बहिनों को अर्थात् अपनी बड़ी और छोटी बहिनों को ग्रहण करे, तब तू अपना चालचलन स्मरण करके लज्जित होगी; और मैं उन्हें तेरी पुत्रियां ठहरा दूंगा; परन्तु यह तेरी वाचा के अनुसार न करूंगा।
रोमियों 6:21

61. Then thou shalt remember thy ways and be ashamed when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger; and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

62. मैं तेरे साथ अपनी वाचा स्थिर करूंगा, और तब तू जान लेगी कि मैं यहोवा हूँ,

62. And I will establish My covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD,

63. जिस से तू स्मरण करके लज्जित हो, और लज्जा के मारे फिर कभी मुंह न खोले। यह उस समय होगा, जब मैं तेरे सब कामों को ढांपूंगा, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है।
रोमियों 6:21

63. that thou mayest remember and be confounded and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.''
