1. फिर यहोवा ने मुझ से कहा, यदि मूसा और शमूएल भी मेरे साम्हने खड़े होते, तौभी मेरा मन इन लोगों की ओर न फिरता। इनको मेरे साम्हने से निकाल दो कि वे निकल जाएं!

2. और यदि वे तुझ से पूछें कि हम कहां निकल जाएं? तो कहना कि यहोवा यों कहता है, जो मरनेवाले हैं, वे मरने को चले जाएं, जो तलवार से मरनेवाले हैं, वे तलवार से मरने को; जो आकाल से मरनेवाले हैं, वे आकाल से मरने को, और जो बंधुए होनेवाले हैं, वे बंधुआई में चले जाएें।

3. मैं उनके विरूद्ध चार प्रकार के विनाश ठहराऊंगा : मार डालने के लिये तलवार, फाड़ डालने के लिये कुत्ते, नोच डालने के लिये आकाश के पक्षी, और फाड़कर खाने के लिये मैदान के हिंसक जन्तु, यहोवा की यह वाणी है।

4. यह हिजकिरयाह के पुत्रा, यहूदा के राजा मनश्शे के उन कामों के कारण होगा जो उस ने यरूशलेम में किए हैं, और मैं उन्हें ऐसा करूंगा कि वे पृथ्वी के राज्य राज्य में मारे मारे फिरेंगे।

5. हे यरूशलेम, तुझ पर कौन तरस खाएगा, और कौन तेरे लिये शोक करेगा? कौन तेरा कुशल पूछने को तेरी ओर मुड़ेगा?

5. For whi who schal haue merci on thee, Jerusalem, ethir who schal be sori for thee, ether who schal go to preie for thi pees?

6. यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि तू मुझ को त्यागकर पीछे हट गई है, इसलिये मैं तुझ पर हाथ बढ़ाकर तेरा नाश करूंगा; क्योंकि, मैं तरस खाते खाते उकता गया हूँ।

6. Thou hast forsake me, seith the Lord, thou hast go abac; and Y schal stretche forth myn hond on thee, and Y schal sle thee; Y trauelide preiyng.

7. मैं ने उनको देश के फाटकों में सूप से फटक दिया है; उन्हों ने कुमार्ग को नहीं छोड़ा, इस कारण मैं ने अपनी प्रजा को निर्वश कर दिया, और नाश भी किया है।

7. And Y schal scatere hem with a wyndewynge instrument in the yatis of erthe; Y killide, and loste my puple, and netheles thei turneden not ayen fro her weies.

8. उनकी विधवाए मेरे देखने में समुद्र की बालू के किनकों से अधिक हो गई हैं; उनके जवानों की माताओं के विरूद्ध दुपहरी ही को मैं ने लुटेरों को ठहराया है; मैं ने उनको अचानक संकट में डाल दिया और घबरा दिया है।

8. The widewis therof ben multiplied to me aboue the grauel of the see; and Y brouyte in to hem a distriere in myddai on the modir of a yonge man, Y sente drede sudeynli on citees.

9. सात लड़कों की माता भी बेहाल हो गई और प्राण भी छोड़ दिया; उसका सूर्य दोपहर ही को अस्त हो गया; उसकी आशा टूट गई और उसका मुंह काला हो गया। और जो रह गए हैं उनको भी मैं शत्रुओं की तलवार से मरवा डालूंगा, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

10. हे मेरी माता, मुझ पर हाय, कि तू ने मुझ ऐसे मनुष्य को उत्पन्न किया जो संसार भर से झगड़ा और वादविवाद करनेवाला ठहरा है ! न तो मैं ने व्याज के लिये रूपये दिए, और न किसी से उधार लिए हैं, तौभी लोग मुझे कोसते हैं।

10. Mi modir, wo to me; whi gendridist thou me a man of chidyng, a man of discord in al the lond? Y lente not, nether ony man lente to me; alle men cursen me, the Lord seith.

11. यहोवा ने कहा, निश्चय मैं तेरी भलाई के लिये तुझे दृढ़ करूंगा; विपत्ति और कष्ट के समय मैं शत्रु से भी तेरी बिनती कराऊंगा।

11. No man bileue to me, if thi remenauntis be not in to good, if Y ranne not to thee in the tyme of turment, and in the tyme of tribulacioun and of anguysch, ayens the enemye.

12. क्या कोई पीतल वा लोहा, उत्तर दिशा का लोहा तोड़ सकता है?

12. Whether yrun and metal schal be ioyned bi pees to irun fro the north?

13. तेरे सब पापों के कारण जो सर्वत्रा देश में हुए हैं मैं तेरी धन- सम्पत्ति और खजाने, बिना दाम दिए लुट जाने दूंगा।

13. And Y schal yyue freli thi ritchessis and thi tresouris in to rauyschyng, for alle thi synnes, and in alle thin endis.

14. मैं ऐसा करूंगा कि वह शत्रुओं के हाथ ऐसे देश में चला जाएगा जिसे तू नहीं जानती है, क्योंकि मेरे क्रोध की आग भड़क उठी है, और वह तुम को जलाएगी।

14. And Y schal brynge thin enemyes fro the lond which thou knowist not; for fier is kyndlid in my strong veniaunce, and it schal brenne on you.

15. हे यहोवा, तू तो जानता है; मुझे स्मरण कर और मेरी सुधि लेकर मेरे सतानेवालों से मेरा पलटा ले। तू धीरज के साथ क्रोध करनेवाला है, इसलिये मुझे न उठा ले; तेरे ही निमित्त मेरी नामधराई हुई है।

15. Lord, thou knowist, haue thou mynde on me, and visite me, and delyuere me fro hem that pursuen me; nyle thou take me in thi pacience, knowe thou, that Y suffride schenschipe for thee.

16. जब तेरे वचन मेरे पास पहुंचे, तब मैं ने उन्हें मानो खा लिया, और तेरे वचन मेरे मन के हर्ष और आनन्द का कारण हुए; क्योंकि, हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा, मैं तेरा कहलाता हूँ।

16. Thi wordis ben foundun, and Y eet tho; and thi word was maad to me in to ioye, and in to gladnesse of myn herte; for thi name, Lord God of oostis, is clepid to help on me.

17. तेरी छाया मुझ पर इई; मैं मन बहलानेवालों के बीच बैठकर प्रसन्न नहीं हुआ; तेरे हाथ के दबाव से मैं अकेला बैठा, क्योंकि तू ने मुझे क्रोध से भर दिया था।

17. Y sat not in the counsel of pleieris, and Y hadde glorie for the face of thin hond; Y sat aloone, for thou fillidist me with bittirnesse.

18. मेरी पीड़ा क्यों लगातार बनी रहती है? मेरी चोट की क्यों कोई औषधि नहीं है? क्या तू सचमुच मेरे लिये धोखा देनेवाली नदी और सूखनेवाले जल के समान होगा?

18. Whi is my sorewe maad euerlastinge, and my wounde dispeirid forsook to be curid? it is maad to me, as a leesyng of vnfeithful watris.

19. यह सुनकर यहोवा ने यों कहा, यदि तू फिरे, तो मैं फिरसे तुझे अपने साम्हने खड़ा करूंगा। यदि तू अनमोल को कहे और निकम्मे को न कहे, तब तू मेरे मुख के समान होगा। वे लोग तेरी ओर फिरेंगे, परन्तु तू उनकी ओर न फिरना।

19. For this thing the Lord seith these thingis, If thou turnest, Y schal turne thee, and thou schalt stonde bifore my face; and if thou departist preciouse thing fro vijl thing, thou schalt be as my mouth; thei schulen be turned to thee, and thou schalt not be turned to hem.

20. और मैं तुझ को उन लोगों के साम्हने पीतल की दृढ़ शहरपनाह बनाऊंगा; वे तुझ से लड़ेंगे, परन्तु तुझ पर प्रबल न होंगे, क्योंकि मैं तुझे बचाने और तेरा उठ्ठार करने के लिये तेरे साथ हूँ, यहोवा की यह वाणी है। मैं तुझे दुष्ट लोगों के हाथ से बचाऊंगा,

20. And Y schal yyue thee in to a brasun wal and strong to this puple, and thei schulen fiyte ayens thee, and schulen not haue the victorie; for Y am with thee, to saue thee, and to delyuere thee, seith the Lord.

21. और उपद्रवी लोगों के पंजे से छुड़ा लूंगा।

21. And Y schal delyuere thee fro the hond of the worste men, and Y schal ayenbie thee fro the hond of stronge men.
