1. यहोवा यों कहता है, आकाश मेरा सिंहासन और पृथ्वी मेरे चरणों की चौकी है; तुम मेरे लिये कैसा भवन बनाओगे, और मेरे विश्राम का कौन सा स्थान होगा?

1. Thus saith the Lord, The heauen is my throne, and the earth is my footestoole: where is that house that ye will builde vnto me? and where is that place of my rest?

2. यहोवा की यह वाणी है, ये सब वस्तुएं मेरे ही हाथ की बनाई हुई हैं, सो ये सब मेरी ही हैं। परन्तु मैं उसी की ओर दृष्टि करूंगा जो दी और खेदित मन का हो, और मेरा वचन सुनकर थरथराता हो।।
प्रेरितों के काम 7:49-50

2. For all these things hath mine hand made, and all these things haue bene, sayth the Lord: and to him will I looke, euen to him, that is poore, and of a contrite spirite and trembleth at my wordes.

3. बैल का बलि करनेवाला मनुष्य के मार डालनेवाले के समान है; जो भेड़ के चढ़ानेवाला है वह उसके समान है जो कुत्ते का गला काटता है; जो अन्नबलि चढ़ाता है वह मानो सूअर का लोहू चढ़ानेवाले के समान है; और, जो लोबान जलाता है, वह उसके समान है जो मूरत को धन्य कहता है। इन सभों ने अपना अपना मार्ग चुन लिया है, और घिनौनी वस्तुओं से उनके मन प्रसन्न हाते हैं।

3. He that killeth a bullocke, is as if he slewe a man: he that sacrificeth a sheepe, as if he cut off a dogges necke: he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swines blood: he that remembreth incense, as if he blessed an idole: yea, they haue chosen their owne wayes, and their soule deliteth in their abominations.

4. इसलिये मैं भी उनके लिये दु:ख की बातें निकालूंगा, और जिन बातों से वे डरते हैं उन्हीं को उन पर लाऊंगा; क्योंकि जब मैं ने उन्हें बुलाया, तब कोई न बोला, और जब मैं ने उन से बातें की, तब उन्हों ने मेरी न सुनी; परन्तु जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा था वही वे करते रहे, और जिस से मैं अप्रसन्न होता था उसी को उन्हों ने अपनाया।। तुम जो यहोवा का वचन सुनकर थरथराते हो यहोवा का यह वचन सुनो:

4. Therefore will I chuse out their delusions, and I will bring their feare vpon them, because I called, and none woulde answere: I spake and they woulde not heare: but they did euill in my sight, and chose the things which I would not.

6. सुनो, नगर से कोलाहल की धूम, मन्दिर से एक शब्द, सुनाई देता है! वह यहोवा का शब्द है, वह अपने शत्रुओं को उनकी करनी का फल दे रहा है!
प्रकाशितवाक्य 16:1-17

6. A voyce soundeth from the citie, euen a voyce from the Temple, the voyce of the Lord, that recompenseth his enemies fully.

7. उसकी पीड़ाएं उठाने से पहले ही उस ने जन्मा दिया; उसको पीड़ाएं होने से पहिले ही उस से बेटा जन्मा।

7. Before she trauailed, she brought foorth: and before her paine came, she was deliuered of a man childe.

8. ऐसी बात किस ने कभी सुनी? किस ने कभी ऐसी बातें देखी? क्या देश एक ही दिन में उत्पन्न हो सकता है? क्या एक जाति क्षण मात्रा में ही उत्पन्न हो सकती है? क्योंकि सिरयोन की पीड़ाएं उठी ही थीं कि उस से सन्तान उत्पन्न हो गए।

8. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seene such things? shall ye earth be brought forth in one day? or shall a nation be borne at once? for assoone as Zion trauailed, she brought foorth her children.

9. यहोवा कहता है, क्या मैं उसे जन्माने के समय तक पहुंचाकर न जन्माऊं? तेरा परमेश्वर कहता है, मैं जो गर्भ देता हूं क्या मैं कोख बन्द करूं?

9. Shall I cause to trauaile, and not bring forth? shall I cause to bring forth, and shall be baren, saith thy God?

10. हे यरूशलेम से सब प्रेम रखनेवालो, उसके साथ आनन्द करो और उसके कारण मगन हो; हे उसके विषय सब विलाप करनेवालो उसके साथ हर्षित हो!

10. Reioyce ye with Ierusalem, and be gladde with her, all ye that loue her: reioyce for ioy with her, all ye that mourne for her,

11. जिस से तुम उसके शान्तिरूपी स्तन से दूध पी पीकर तृप्त हो; और दूध पीकर उसकी महिमा की बहुतायत से अत्यन्त सुखी हो।।

11. That ye may sucke and be satisfied with the brestes of her consolation: that ye may milke out and be delited with ye brightnes of her glorie.

12. क्योंकि यहोवा यों कहता है, देखो, मैं उसकी ओर शान्ति को नदी की नाईं, और अन्यजातियों के धन को नदी की बाढ़ के समान बहा दूंगा; और तुम उस से पीओगे, तुम उसकी गोद में उठाए जाओगे और उसके घुटनों पर कुदाए जाओगे।

12. For thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will extend peace ouer her like a flood, and the glorie of the Gentiles like a flowing streame: then shall ye sucke, ye shall be borne vpon her sides, and be ioyfull vpon her knees.

13. जिस प्रकार माता अपने पुत्रा को शान्ति देती है, वैस ही मैं भी तुम्हें शान्ति दुंगा; तुम को यरूशलेम ही में शान्ति मिलेगी।

13. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you, and ye shall be comforted in Ierusalem.

14. तुम यह देखोगे और प्रफुल्लित होगे; तुम्हारी हडि्डयां घास की नाईं हरी भरी होंगी; और यहोवा का हाथ उसके दासों के लिये प्रगट होगा, और, उसके शत्रुओं के ऊपर उसका क्रोध भड़केगा।।

14. And when ye see this, your hearts shall reioyce, and your bones shall flourish like an herbe: and the hand of the Lord shall be knowen among his seruants, and his indignation against his enemies.

15. क्योंकि देखो, यहोवा आग के साथ आएगा, और उसके रथ बवण्डर के समान होंगे, जिस से वह अपने क्रोध को जलजलाहट के साथ और अपनी चितौनी को भस्म करनेवाली आग की लपट में प्रगट करे।

15. For beholde, the Lord will come with fire, and his charets like a whirlewinde, that he may recompence his anger with wrath, and his indignation with the flame of fire.

16. क्योंकि यहोवा सब प्राणियों का न्याय आग से और अपनी तलवार से करेगा; और यहोवा के मारे हुए बहुत होंगे।।

16. For the Lord will iudge with fire, and with his sworde all flesh, and the slaine of the Lord shall be many.

18. क्योंकि मैं उनके काम और उनकी कल्पनाएं, दोनों अच्छी रीति से जानता हूं। और वह समय आता है जब मैं सारी जातियों और भिन्न भिन्न भाषा बोलनेवालों को इकट्ठा करूंगा; और वे आकर मेरी महिमा देखेंगे।

18. For I will visite their workes, and their imaginations: for it shall come that I will gather all nations, and tongues, and they shall come, and see my glorie.

19. और मैं उन से एक चिन्ह प्रगट करूंगा; और उनके बचे हुओं को मैं उन अन्यजातियों के पास भेजूंगा जिन्हों ने न तो मेरा समाचार सुना है और न मेरी महिमा देखी है, अर्थात् तर्शीशियों और धनुर्धारी पूलियों और लूदियों के पास, और तबलियों और यूनानियों और दूर द्वीपवासियों के पास भी भेज दूंगा और वे अन्यजातियों में मेरी महिमा का वर्णन करेंगे।

19. And I will set a signe among them, and will send those that escape of them, vnto the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, and to them that drawe the bowe, to Tubal and Tauan, yles afarre off, that haue not heard my fame, neither haue seene my glorie, and they shall declare my glorie among the Gentiles.

20. और जैसे इस्राएली लोग अन्नबलि को शुद्ध पात्रा में धरकर यहोवा के भवन में ले आते हैं, वैसे ही वे तुम्हारे सब भाइयों को घोड़ों, रथों, पालयिों, खच्चरों और साड़नियों पर चढ़ा चढ़ाकर मेरे पवित्रा पर्वत यरूशलेम पर यहोवा की भेंट के लिये ले आएंगे, यहोवा का यही वचन है।

20. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering vnto the Lord out of all nations, vpon horses, and in charets, and in horse litters, and vpon mules, and swift beastes, to Ierusalem mine holy Mountaine, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel, offer in a cleane vessell in the House of the Lord.

21. और उन में से मैं कितने लोगों को याजक और लेवीय पद के लिये भी चुन लूंगा।।

21. And I will take of them for Priestes, and for Leuites, saith the Lord.

22. क्योंकि जिस प्रकार नया आकाश और नई पृथ्वी, जो मैं बनाने पर हूं, मेरे सम्मुख बनी रहेगी, उसी प्रकार तुम्हारा वंश और तुम्हारा नाम भी बना रहेगा; यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

22. For as the newe heauens, and the newe earth which I will make, shall remaine before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seede and your name continue.

23. फिर ऐसा होगा कि एक नये चांद से दूसरे नये चांद के दिन तक और एक विश्राम दिन से दूसरे विश्राम दिन तक समस्त प्राणी मेरे साम्हने दण्डवत् करने को आया करेंगे; यहोवा का यही वचन है।।

23. And from moneth to moneth, and from Sabbath to Sabbath shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

24. तब वे निकलकर उन लोगों की लोथों पर जिन्हों ने मुझ से बलवा किया दृष्टि डालेंगे; क्योंकि उन में पड़े हुए कीड़े कभी न मरेंगे, उनकी आस कभी न बुझेगी, और सारे मनुष्यों को उन से अत्यन्त घृणा होगी।।

24. And they shall goe forth, and looke vpon the carkases of the men that haue transgressed against me: for their worme shall not dye, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shalbe an abhorring vnto all flesh.
