1. हे यहोवा, मुझ को बुरे मनुष्य से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर,

1. To the chanter, a Psalm of David. Deliver me, o LORD, from the evil men, oh preserve me from the wicked men.

2. क्योंकि उन्हों ने मन में बुरी कल्पनाएं की हैं; वे लगातार लड़ाइयां मचाते हैं।

2. Which imagine mischief in their hearts, and stir up strife all the day long.

3. उनका बोलना सांप का काटना सा है, उनके मुंह में नाग का सा विष रहता है।।

3. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent: adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

4. हे यहोवा, मुझे दुष्ट के हाथों से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर, क्योंकि उन्हों ने मेरे पैरों के उखाड़ने की युक्ति की है।

4. Keep me, O LORD, from the hand of the ungodly: preserve me from the wicked men, which are purposed to overthrow my goings.

5. घमण्डियों ने मेरे लिये फन्दा और पासे लगाए, और पथ के किनारे जाल बिछाया है; उन्हों ने मेरे लिये फन्दे लगा रखे हैं।।

5. The proud have laid a snare for me, and spread a net abroad with cords, yea and set traps in my way. Selah.

6. हे यहोवा, मैं ने तुझ से कहा है कि तू मेरा ईश्वर है; हे यहोवा, मेरे गिड़गड़ाने की ओर कान लगा!

6. But my saying is unto the LORD: Thou art my God, hear the voice of my prayer, O LORD.

7. हे यहोवा प्रभु, हे मेरे सामर्थी उद्धारकर्ता, तू ने युद्ध के दिन मेरे सिर की रक्षा की है।

7. O Lord GOD,(LORDE God) thou strength of my health, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.(battayle)

8. हे यहोवा दुष्ट की इच्छा को पूरी न होने दे, उसकी बुरी युक्ति को सफल न कर, नहीं तो वह घमण्ड करेगा।।

8. Let not the ungodly have his desire, O LORD, let him not have his purpose, lest they be too proud. Selah.

9. मेरे घेरनेवालों के सिर पर उन्हीं का विचारा हुआ उत्पात पड़े!

9. Let the mischief of their own lips fall upon the head of them, that compass me about.

10. उन पर अंगारे डाले जाएं! वे आग में गिरा दिए जाएं! और ऐसे गड़हों में गिरें, कि वे फिर उठ न सकें!

10. Let hot burning coals fall upon them, let them be cast into the fire, and into the pit, that they never rise up again.

11. बकवादी पृथ्वी पर स्थिर नहीं होने का; उपद्रवी पुरूष को गिराने के लिये बुराई उसका पीछा करेगी।।

11. A man full of words shall not prosper upon the earth: a malicious and wicked person shall be hunted away, and destroyed.

12. हे यहोवा, मुझे निश्चय है कि तू दीन जन का और दरिद्रों का न्याय चुकाएगा।

12. Sure I am, that the LORD will avenge the poor, and maintain the cause of the helpless.

13. नि:सन्देह धर्मी तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करने पाएंगे; सीधे लोग तेरे सम्मुख वास करेंगे।।

13. The righteous also shall give thanks unto thy name, and the just shall continue in thy sight.
