1. हे यहोवा, मुझ को बुरे मनुष्य से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर,

1. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man:

2. क्योंकि उन्हों ने मन में बुरी कल्पनाएं की हैं; वे लगातार लड़ाइयां मचाते हैं।

2. Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war.

3. उनका बोलना सांप का काटना सा है, उनके मुंह में नाग का सा विष रहता है।।

3. They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders' poison is under their lips. [Selah]

4. हे यहोवा, मुझे दुष्ट के हाथों से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर, क्योंकि उन्हों ने मेरे पैरों के उखाड़ने की युक्ति की है।

4. Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

5. घमण्डियों ने मेरे लिये फन्दा और पासे लगाए, और पथ के किनारे जाल बिछाया है; उन्हों ने मेरे लिये फन्दे लगा रखे हैं।।

5. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. [Selah]

6. हे यहोवा, मैं ने तुझ से कहा है कि तू मेरा ईश्वर है; हे यहोवा, मेरे गिड़गड़ाने की ओर कान लगा!

6. I said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: Give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O Jehovah.

7. हे यहोवा प्रभु, हे मेरे सामर्थी उद्धारकर्ता, तू ने युद्ध के दिन मेरे सिर की रक्षा की है।

7. O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

8. हे यहोवा दुष्ट की इच्छा को पूरी न होने दे, उसकी बुरी युक्ति को सफल न कर, नहीं तो वह घमण्ड करेगा।।

8. Grant not, O Jehovah, the desires of the wicked; Further not his evil device, [lest] they exalt themselves. [Selah]

9. मेरे घेरनेवालों के सिर पर उन्हीं का विचारा हुआ उत्पात पड़े!

9. As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10. उन पर अंगारे डाले जाएं! वे आग में गिरा दिए जाएं! और ऐसे गड़हों में गिरें, कि वे फिर उठ न सकें!

10. Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise.

11. बकवादी पृथ्वी पर स्थिर नहीं होने का; उपद्रवी पुरूष को गिराने के लिये बुराई उसका पीछा करेगी।।

11. An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

12. हे यहोवा, मुझे निश्चय है कि तू दीन जन का और दरिद्रों का न्याय चुकाएगा।

12. I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.

13. नि:सन्देह धर्मी तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करने पाएंगे; सीधे लोग तेरे सम्मुख वास करेंगे।।

13. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
