1. हे यहोवा, मुझ को बुरे मनुष्य से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर,

1. O Lord, take me away from sinful men. Keep me safe from men who want to hurt others.

2. क्योंकि उन्हों ने मन में बुरी कल्पनाएं की हैं; वे लगातार लड़ाइयां मचाते हैं।

2. They make sinful plans in their hearts. They always start wars.

3. उनका बोलना सांप का काटना सा है, उनके मुंह में नाग का सा विष रहता है।।
रोमियों 3:13, याकूब 3:8

3. They make their tongues sharp like a snake's. And the poison of a snake is under their lips.

4. हे यहोवा, मुझे दुष्ट के हाथों से बचा ले; उपद्रवी पुरूष से मेरी रक्षा कर, क्योंकि उन्हों ने मेरे पैरों के उखाड़ने की युक्ति की है।

4. O Lord, keep me from the hands of the sinful. Keep me safe from men who want to hurt others and have planned to trip my feet.

5. घमण्डियों ने मेरे लिये फन्दा और पासे लगाए, और पथ के किनारे जाल बिछाया है; उन्हों ने मेरे लिये फन्दे लगा रखे हैं।।

5. The proud have hidden a trap for me. With ropes they have spread a net. They have set traps for me beside the road.

6. हे यहोवा, मैं ने तुझ से कहा है कि तू मेरा ईश्वर है; हे यहोवा, मेरे गिड़गड़ाने की ओर कान लगा!

6. I said to the Lord, 'You are my God. Listen to the voice of my prayers, O Lord.

7. हे यहोवा प्रभु, हे मेरे सामर्थी उद्धारकर्ता, तू ने युद्ध के दिन मेरे सिर की रक्षा की है।

7. O God the Lord, the strength that saves me, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

8. हे यहोवा दुष्ट की इच्छा को पूरी न होने दे, उसकी बुरी युक्ति को सफल न कर, नहीं तो वह घमण्ड करेगा।।

8. O Lord, do not give the sinful what they want. Do not let their plans work, or they will be honored.

9. मेरे घेरनेवालों के सिर पर उन्हीं का विचारा हुआ उत्पात पड़े!

9. 'As for those who gather around me, may the wrong-doing of their lips come upon their heads.

10. उन पर अंगारे डाले जाएं! वे आग में गिरा दिए जाएं! और ऐसे गड़हों में गिरें, कि वे फिर उठ न सकें!

10. May burning coals fall upon them. May they be thrown into the fire, into deep holes, and rise no more.

11. बकवादी पृथ्वी पर स्थिर नहीं होने का; उपद्रवी पुरूष को गिराने के लिये बुराई उसका पीछा करेगी।।

11. Do not let the man whose talking hurts people stand in the land. May trouble hurry to catch and destroy the man who wants to hurt others.'

12. हे यहोवा, मुझे निश्चय है कि तू दीन जन का और दरिद्रों का न्याय चुकाएगा।

12. I know that the Lord will stand by those who suffer and do what is right for the poor.

13. नि:सन्देह धर्मी तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करने पाएंगे; सीधे लोग तेरे सम्मुख वास करेंगे।।

13. For sure those who are right and good will give thanks to Your name. Those who are right will live with You.
