1. हे यहोवा, हमारी नहीं, हमारी नहीं, वरन अपने ही नाम की महिमा, अपनी करूणा और सच्चाई के निमित्त कर।

1. Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, But to Thy name give honour, For Thy kindness, for Thy truth.

2. जाति जाति के लोग क्यों कहने पांए, कि उनका परमेश्वर कहां रहा?

2. Why do the nations say, 'Where, pray, [is] their God.

3. हमारा परमेश्वर तो स्वर्ग में हैं; उस ने जो चाहा वही किया है।

3. And our God [is] in the heavens, All that He hath pleased He hath done.

4. उन लोगों की मूरतें सोने चान्दी ही की तो हैं, वे मनुष्यों के हाथ की बनाई हुई हैं।

4. Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man's hands,

5. उनक मुंह तो रहता है परन्तु वे बोल नहीं सकती; उनके आंखें तो रहती हैं परन्तु वे देख नहीं सकतीं।

5. A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,

6. उनके कान तो रहते हैं, परन्तु वे सुन नहीं सकतीं; उनके नाक तो रहती हैं, परन्तु वे सूंघ नहीं सकतीं।

6. Ears they have, and they hear not, A nose they have, and they smell not,

7. उनके हाथ तो रहते हैं, परन्तु वे स्पर्श नहीं कर सकतीं; उनके पांव तो रहते हैं, परन्तु वे चल नहीं सकतीं; और उनके कण्ठ से कुछ भी शब्द नहीं निकाल सकतीं।

7. Their hands, but they handle not, Their feet, and they walk not;

8. जैसी वे हैं वैसे ही उनके बनानेवाले हैं; और उन पर भरोसा रखनेवाले भी वैसे ही हो जाएंगे।।

8. Nor do they mutter through their throat, Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.

9. हे इस्राएल यहोवा पर भरोसा रख! तेरा सहायक और ढाल वही है।

9. O Israel, trust in Jehovah, 'Their help and their shield [is] He.'

10. हे हारून के घराने यहोवा पर भरोसा रख! तेरा सहायक और ढाल वही है।

10. O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah, 'Their help and their shield [is] He.'

11. हे यहोवा के डरवैयो, यहोवा पर भरोसा रखो! तुम्हारा सहायक और ढाल वही है।।

11. Ye fearing Jehovah, trust in Jehovah, 'Their help and their shield [is] He.'

12. यहोवा ने हम को स्मरण किया है; वह आशीष देगा; वह इस्राएल के घराने को आशीष देगा; वह हारून के घराने को आशीष देगा।

12. Jehovah hath remembered us, He blesseth, He blesseth the house of Israel, He blesseth the house of Aaron,

13. क्या छोटे क्या बड़े जितने यहोवा के डरवैये हैं, वह उन्हें आशीष देगा।।

13. He blesseth those fearing Jehovah, The small with the great.

14. यहोवा तुम को और तुम्हारे लड़कों को भी अधिक बढ़ाता जाए!

14. Jehovah addeth to you, to you, and to your sons.

15. यहोवा जो आकाश और पृथ्वी का कर्ता है, उसकी ओर से तुम अशीष पाए हो।।

15. Blessed [are] ye of Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth,

16. स्वर्ग तो यहोवा का है, परन्तु पृथ्वी उस ने मनुष्यों को दी है।

16. The heavens -- the heavens [are] Jehovah's, And the earth He hath given to sons of men,

17. मृतक जितने चुपचाप पड़े हैं, वे तो याह की स्तुति नहीं कर सकते,

17. The dead praise not Jah, Nor any going down to silence.

18. परन्तु हम लोग याह को अब से लेकर सर्वदा तक धन्य कहते रहेंगे। याह की स्तुति करो!

18. And we, we bless Jah, From henceforth, and unto the age. Praise ye Jah!
