1. मैं करूणा और न्याय के विषय गाऊंगा; हे यहोवा, मैं तेरा ही भजन गाऊंगा।

1. A Psalm of David. I will sing of loving-kindness and justice: To you, O Yahweh, I will sing praises.

2. मैं बुद्धिमानी से खरे मार्ग में चलूंगा। तू मेरे पास कब आएगा! मैं अपने घर में मन की खराई के साथ अपनी चाल चलूंगा;

2. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way: Oh when will you come to me? I will walk inside my house with a perfect heart.

3. मैं किसी आछे काम पर चित्त न लगाऊंगा।। मैं कुमार्ग पर चलनेवालों के काम से घिन रखता हूं; ऐसे काम में मैं न लगूंगा।

3. I will set no base thing before my eyes: I hate the work of those who turn aside; It will not stick to me.

4. टेढ़ा स्वभाव मुझ से दूर रहेगा; मैं बुराई को जानूंगा भी नहीं।।

4. A perverse heart will depart from me: I will know no evil thing.

5. जो छिपकर अपने पड़ोसी की चुगली खाए, उसको मैं सत्यानाश करूंगा; जिसकी आंखें चढ़ी हों और जिसका मन घमण्डी है, उसकी मैं न सहूंगा।।

5. Whoever secretly slanders his fellow man, I will destroy him: I will not allow him who has a high look and a proud heart.

6. मेरी आंखें देश के विश्वासयोग्य लोगों पर लगी रहेंगी कि वे मेरे संग रहें; जो खरे मार्ग पर चलता है वही मेरा टहलुआ होगा।।

6. My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me.

7. जो छल करता है वह मेरे घर के भीतर न रहने पाएगा; जो झूठ बोलता है वह मेरे साम्हने बना न रहेगा।।

7. He who works deceit will not dwell inside my house: He who speaks falsehood will not be established before my eyes.

8. भोर ही भोर को मैं देश के सब दुष्टों को सत्यानाश किया करूंगा, इसलिये कि यहोवा के नगर के सब अनर्थकारियों को नाश करूं।।

8. Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Yahweh.
