1. मैं करूणा और न्याय के विषय गाऊंगा; हे यहोवा, मैं तेरा ही भजन गाऊंगा।

1. A psalm of David: I am singing of grace and justice; I am singing to you, [ADONAI.]

2. मैं बुद्धिमानी से खरे मार्ग में चलूंगा। तू मेरे पास कब आएगा! मैं अपने घर में मन की खराई के साथ अपनी चाल चलूंगा;

2. I will follow the path of integrity; when will you come to me? I will run my life with a sincere heart inside my own house.

3. मैं किसी आछे काम पर चित्त न लगाऊंगा।। मैं कुमार्ग पर चलनेवालों के काम से घिन रखता हूं; ऐसे काम में मैं न लगूंगा।

3. I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing. I hate those who act crookedly; what they do does not attract me.

4. टेढ़ा स्वभाव मुझ से दूर रहेगा; मैं बुराई को जानूंगा भी नहीं।।

4. Deviousness will depart from me; I will not tolerate evil.

5. जो छिपकर अपने पड़ोसी की चुगली खाए, उसको मैं सत्यानाश करूंगा; जिसकी आंखें चढ़ी हों और जिसका मन घमण्डी है, उसकी मैं न सहूंगा।।

5. If someone slanders another in secret, I will cut him off. Haughty eyes and proud hearts I cannot abide.

6. मेरी आंखें देश के विश्वासयोग्य लोगों पर लगी रहेंगी कि वे मेरे संग रहें; जो खरे मार्ग पर चलता है वही मेरा टहलुआ होगा।।

6. I look to the faithful of the land, so that they can be my companions; those who live lives of integrity can be servants of mine.

7. जो छल करता है वह मेरे घर के भीतर न रहने पाएगा; जो झूठ बोलता है वह मेरे साम्हने बना न रहेगा।।

7. No deceitful person can live in my house; no liar can be my advisor.

8. भोर ही भोर को मैं देश के सब दुष्टों को सत्यानाश किया करूंगा, इसलिये कि यहोवा के नगर के सब अनर्थकारियों को नाश करूं।।

8. Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, cutting off all evildoers from the city of ADONAI.
